LESS IS MORE: I've noticed the past two days I've made longer episodes despite having hardly anything to report in my notes. Yes yesterday had a song and today had one of my classic "isn't it funny" blerbs. Ah, nevermind. Lots of talk about MJF and his promo. Do we deserve better? I dunno, hearing insider terms like mark always comes off cringey. Otherwise it was a fun watch. KING KID posted that Pillman slapped Kane in Hell. It was pretty great to read that. Would do it again. Yeah, that's your sole fan fic update. I wrote some more storytime stuff so I guess that's a lie but didn't talk about it on air.

TWO FOR ONE: Glossing over some Off Topic news that's very rambley about political stuff... we got two entries in the Female Countdown: Wayne's World and American Psycho. You can definitely tell which movies won't be on someone's personal top 100 since they don't get featured in the daily avatar changes. Think it might be time for me to change mine again. Had Corona-Chan for a bit and now that she's claiming a high ranking "celeb" in Herman Cain it may be time to put her to bed. But what's next?

Are you going to stop this completely when we hit #100? If you were up for it I'd love weekly episodes, it should give you more to talk about/recap without being such a time burden.

I can't imagine C outside the house either honestly. He seems like someone who could only exist in the basement or the university lab.

As it stands episode 100 is gonna serve as a bit of a series finale. I'm not opposed to doing things again on a less frequent basis. Sort of a "state of PW address" type of recordings instead of daily episodes. For instance I'm sure I'll do a special episode if Pi Jr. happens to be born after 100, but I have a feeling it'll be possible he will be alive before we reach that.

The opener about one hit wonder is a thread-worthy discussion topic. Do we make a thread, or is this the official one hit wonder topic? Well, I have my opinion to share, and I will forget about it if I don't do it now, so this is now the one hit wonder discussion thread.

The term "one hit wonder" as we commonly use it should only be attributed to pop acts. Why? Pop acts put themselves out there primarily through singles. Only a small proportion of die hard fans will actually pay attention to the albums. Most pop artists have a bunch of big singles, everyone knows these singles, fuck everything else.

The rock and metal genres are different. These bands typically rely on albums as their primary medium of expression. They may toss in a few singles just because that's what the pop acts do. So I don't think we can really describe rock/metal acts as one hit wonders. Of course many will have that one big hit, but they tend to have other well-known songs too, as @ness described with Korn and Limp Bizkit.

An interesting example is Rush. People who don't listen to Rush will only know one Rush song (if any), and that is Tom Sawyer. For some reason this is the only Rush song that gets played anywhere mainstream. People who do listen to Rush will have all their albums and can roll off 50 Rush deep cuts off the top of their head. Does the fact that Tom Sawyer is the only popular Rush song make them a one hit wonder? I don't think so.

Europe is another interesting example. They are a rock band but clearly a one hit wonder. Everyone knows The Final Countdown. Very few people can name a single other Europe song. Only diehard fans like Baker could do that.

- Limp Bizkit is absolutely NOT a one hit wonder. Their catalog of hits is deep. And wonderful. That said, I too wonder what one hit wonder concerts are like.

- Adam Cole is more of a lightning rod like than John Cena. I do like the NC5 title match comparison. That topic is chock (chalk?) full of way too many nearfalls.

- MJF & Orange Cassidy are the only AEW entities I have time for. And maybe Dean Ambrose now thanks to Dr. Emperor.

- I don't know which theend thread prompted this rant, and I hate to time travel and discuss current PW events when clearing my backlog, but... His latest thread has me thinking he's a black skater boi living in the wild and wonderful WV and strictly shopping local but only online.

- Pushing carts has a whole secret economy behind it. Speaking of unappreciated jobs, I feel like corona should see the nationwide return of gas station attendants. I used to hate going to NJ or OR because of these guys, but now I'm thinking they'd help stop the spread!

What's not to like about Orange Cassidy?

He's unimposing and skinny.

I thought that was enough to make your personal hit list, the way you talk about some of these guys.

He also wears double denim, which is enough to make my personal hit list.

He looks like Ryan Gosling from Driver and literally wrestles like he gives no fux. I can give the golf pencil build a pass for such an awesome gimmick and ring gear.

Carrie is fairly well known. Might be enough to make Europe a one and a half hit wonder. 
Fun Fact: Carrie was actually a bigger hit than The Final Countdown here in the US. 

Baker good to see you back. In the event you walked away for good we christened @fisto as the new Baker but I guess that was premature.
