With the current delay on my PW Wrestling project, I recently bought another game from Steam to pass the time: Pro Strategy Football 2020. It's basically the Fire Pro Wrestling of football. As such, it occurred to me earlier today that this would be a better time than ever to rightfully return the PW Football League! The game seems to be running perfectly on my laptop so far, a lot better than Fire Pro at least *fingers crossed*... Here's a video of some game footage:

Unfortunately I haven't figured out mods yet so we may need to start this out bare bones...

For those who may have missed the first installment, here's the quick breakdown: you are the owner of your own football team, but outside of the creation of its brand and host city, little else is within your control. The catch this time being: you will be drafting a squad of wrestlers as the fictional players for your team. Unlike the first PW Football, you will also be able to actually watch your games unfold every week through a series of highlights I'll eventually post here.


(How This Works)
- We need 8 teams for the first season; we can go up to 12 if interest is higher. Please use the sign-up sheet posted below. Post your team's information within this thread rather than messaging me so that we can get a variety of team colors, names and were not having three/four teams all playing in one city.
- 14-game regular season. 2 of the best teams in each conference will advance to the playoffs.
- 1 trade allowed per in-game week for a team. Requested party has 48 hours to accept trade. Trades must be both requested and agreed to within this thread.
- No drafts, injuries or free agency unless we reach 32 teams. This is because Career Mode won't run under this number.
- Players are wrestlers in this project. Player ratings will be based off of how you assemble quickset attributes for your team. Every team owner will be given 13 points. For example, you could assign a rating of 8 to your offense and 5 to your defense, or 8 to your defense and 5 to your offense depending on preference. Every player on that specific side of the ball will have a rating reflective of that, simply to make rosters easier to deal with. 
- Rosters will be decided in a draft once a maximum number of teams have been reached. Randomizer will determine draft position. Once position has been determined, each team will draft a 43-man roster of your favorite wrestlers to your team all at once so the drat moves quickly. Each user is limited to 5 main eventers for their team selection (definition: must have won a major World Championship).

changed my city to Vancouver. I don’t know why I made their stadium BC Place and stuck them in Victoria. I had some extra beers after last night's Leafs game so that's probably why.

One short of eight still but I plan on giving it a couple of days before I set a date for the draft. If no one signs up I'll probably just create a wrestling-related filler CPU team.

Right now I have them saved with the Green Bay uni's but named as a knock against Washington: "UT FOOTBALL TEAM"

So after giving it a few days and still no #8, I'm going to go ahead and make a CPU team and we'll start organizing the draft here in a few days. When drafting, the CPU will draft the worse wrestlers imaginable and then I'll quickset both offense and defense to 1, that way everyone else is at least guaranteed a win in the first year.

The 2020 PWFL Draft
-- There will be 3 rounds to the draft; serpentine-style. 
-- 1st round will have users pick their entire offense; 2nd will involve the defense; 3rd will finish w/Special Teams.
-- Please list what position your wrestler will be playing at. 
-- Spread throughout all 3 rounds, you may draft only 5 main event wrestlers (requirement: must have won a major World Title, ie WWE, AEW, NJPW, All-Japan, WCW, ECW, TNA, ROH or AAA).
-- Requirements for available players are that they must have been a wrestler at some point in their career, and if known as a manager, they must have been involved in matches at some point (see: Bobby Heenan, Michael Cole, etc.) If a manager or other personality meets this criteria but is already coaching another team (see: Jim Cornette & the Las Cruces Scorpions), he or she will not be available to be drafted.
-- Bonus points will be given to players who played either college football or professionally before or after their wrestling career (+1 overall for college experience, +2 for professional experience).
-- If a player does not have any former college or pro experience, their stats will be measured by the quickstat attribute given to either their team's offense or defense. 
-- 1 trade is permitted per user during the draft. 
-- You will have 48 hours to make your pick once it's your turn.

If there's anything you'd like to suggest or feel like I'm leaving out, feel free to say something. I haven't set a date yet but I'm leaning towards either 3 days-a week to give everyone some time to plan out there rosters.

UPDATE(s): The PWFL will be relocating over to Draft Day Pro Football 2021 one week from now. It's been a long time coming but I haven't forgotten about this project (had trouble getting PFS to recognize customized files, rendering the thread dead for a little while). I'll be running this in sandbox mode so that I have no control whatsoever over the outcome of any one team.

The Brooklyn Jobbers have been reassigned to Kid and will be renamed the "Brooklyn Kiddos".

He's free to change the name if he wants, but as the league grows I will be expanding it to include other user teams. Our second season will most likely include other users familiar in the football threads.

Teams have been named, rosters have been auto-generated and graphics are nearly complete. The inaugural season will feature 8 teams, 13 games and a 4 team post-season. I'll most likely still include a weekly video recap, too.

The remainder of your team will be decided from PWI 500 lists, with the top wrestlers with their origin nearest to your team's location will be assigned to your team's roster. Outside of this, none of us will have any control whatsoever, though after the inaugural season I'll be accepting requests to alter any team designs.
