NEVER TRUST A MIKE: Foos has started up the PW Gift Exchange again. It's been a thing in the past and to my knowledge no one has randomly shown up at someone's house. Most landlords I’ve dealt with have a real estate agent that is basically the messenger back
and forth between them and the tenant so you never really interact with the landlord.
Where as I’m guessing in the US you deal with the landlord directly like private renters do here?

Otherwise I don’t understand the confusion @ness .

Think it was just the use of the term "real estate" to describe them. I've always heard people here call them realtors or real estate agents so it reminded me how non-americans call college university even though I never really hear it referred to that way here. They might say a university, but never just the word.
