MAKING THE BACKLOG ONE STEP LONGER: We've hopefully only temporarily lost Baker. We're dealing with a week without UT and a few weeks we may lose 🤯 for a while and then only see him in that Brock random appearances role. Are you mentally prepared? He gave us the goods today though. Reviewed several episodes of PW News... started a Fan Fic thread and I'm sure contributed other posts. You'd better cherish this shit. Who's gonna like everything? Emperor? Only if we delete all the threads and make the Influential One the only topic for posts. Maybe that's an idea...

RACE TO THE FINISH: Likely not gonna cover anything in whatever the Animal Movie countdown is and unless he's a workhorse not the finish of the Influential TABLE either. But we may be able to cover the rest of FFCW because 1RealSmartAlex is trying to wrap this up before heading back to work. But is that the shoot job or has plexiglass been set up on the indy scene? Anyways we received word of a big likely final main event before the final show. A six man pitting Fan Fic's (mostly) past together with the winner picking their final match type. Pretty big deal like getting the cointoss advantage in War Games.

I WAS IN ON THE JOKE DEDSRS: So yesterday I posted and spoke about Superman 64. Clearly an autocorrect issue and I meant Super Mario 64. I mean, gimme a break already. I've been doing this for 90+ episodes I'll make a mistake or two... or eleventeen so don't judge me. Good thing only like 3-5 people listen or they might notice these mistakes. Anyways talk briefly on the actual game and hopefully a new entry hasn't been posted in the last 1/2 hr.

You probably didn’t know this, but I did a gimmick in the first season of FFCW I wrote where WMS was doing a wrestling purist gimmick (Wrestling’s Most Serious) and won the right to challenge The Dazzler for the FFCW World Championship at The Right to Remain Violent (the all gimmick match PPV) and he chose a standard singles match. Dazz then retained by getting himself unintentionally disqualified by kicking Wisey in the dick.

Also, if I find out who’s leaking spoilers from my TV tapings, I’m going to be get retribution in a most unpleasant way. That’s not a death threat. It’s a death sentence.

Finally, my first wrestling show back was July 25th outdoors with masks and social distancing. We had some outdoor exhibition matches for the anniversary of a pizza place owned by Seth Rollins’ cousin last Sunday, and we have another event this Saturday.

But I was referring to going back to school which is the shoot job.

Any other outside the norm finishes? I once wanted to write a Royal Rumble only the last participants were eliminated before #30 made their entrance.

An indie I ring announced for did that finish (before I worked there). I'm sure I've done other weird finishes before that I can't remember right now.

What kind of debut are we looking at here?

Royal Rumble 2000? Bad Bloodd 1997? Raw August '99? ? WCW May 26th 1996? Or could we be in for the 17 year anniversary of The Shockmaster?

Umm, VR?

I am not a graphics programmer but most improvements these days seem to be imperceptible to me. I think we’ve already hit about as good as things can look.

Could be dead wrong though. Sue me.

The new Unreal PS5 showcase was really cool but it’s mostly just about optimizing how many things can be seen in high quality as you approach them and it dynamically changes the quality of everything to fit your system.

Not that you can tell quality from a YouTube video. Yes, I know "it's in 4K!" but that just goes to prove my point. It's not really. The bitrate is terrible and not enough to support that resolution, so it's super blurry and not really 4K at all. Graphics these days is all about "hype". You can't tell a quality difference between 1080p and 4K in a blind test unless you have a massive screen, and even then most people couldn't.

It's all about bigger numbers and virtual dick size. No one even notices or cares or bothers to check and see that they can't tell the difference before blowing $1k on the newest graphics card when they already have an $800 graphics card...because it makes them feel good when they do it, to know they have the best and are getting "cutting edge" graphics.

It angers me. Engineers should know better, but nearly everyone at my work is like this.

Of course there are valid improvements and cool stuff happening in the world of gaming graphics, but there's far more bullshit and hype.
