I confirm that that's actually son in the picture. My criminal defense attorney helped spruce it up into said gif. It's my favorite picture made even more favoriter! Wife of course hates that it's my favorite and the one I've been sharing with everyone.

Also, the hormonal drug rush of today has been pretty fucking cool. If science could somehow distill this feeling into a gummy, I'd be high on that all the time. Also high on my weed gummies on occasion. But definitely high on the other gummies always. This is pretty cool.

Man, I have no clue how parents did it pre-internet. At least now, worst case, we can consult YouTube for a video on something to not feel totally lost. Or WedMD or reddit or the What to Expect app.

The big fucking balls on my grandparents generation specifically blows my mind. At least my parents generation had their experience to draw on. But my grand parents generation? Feel like their parenting advice was just have enough so that the odds of one randomly surviving improves.

7 lbs 12 oz (who knows in your Canadian grams!?) and 20" (again, who knows in your Canadian meters!?)

Wife is doing good. She's been a real bad ass rock star through today. I'll see if I can't convince her to bust out her yearly post sometime soon. It might be a bit longer before I can get son to post on his own.

You'd be surprised how many dead minutes he will have with a newborn while sterilising or washing stuff at two in the morning.

The best part is my post quality was so low to begin with that no one will notice any dip in quality due to sleep deprivation!

Honestly, and tell me if I'm way off base here, but I feel like things will immediately be better at home due to the lack of interruptions that we're subject to at the hospital. The last day plus it seems nurses, doctors, etc. come in at the exact most inopportune times... Like right after a feeding and change and getting him down and quiet... and reset the whole damn cycle early.

Exhaustion and I bet constipation. I need my routine for more than just sleep. Without my morning coffee and a few minutes to subsequently unload, I'm backed up for the day. Start stacking days like that, like I'm doing now, and I end up backlogged on PW News in more ways than one.
