He was just starting to make a comeback before COVID hit - was supposed to wrestle on an ROH past vs present gimmicked show.

Awful news, I was looking forward to Xavier's comeback especially since he's become something of a cult figure after his failed run of the title. I think Pro Wrestling fans more than anybody enjoying celebrating these figures in retrospect because the promoters are always so open about their ideas and it really helps inspire our arm-chair booking sensibilities.
A real bummer.

Damn just saw this. Man he was one of the guys who got me into indy wrestling. Loved his neckbreaker so much. Wonder if it was COVID as like Low Ki, he was anti-mask. Cool guy though when I met him at local shows. Sucked his RoH run failed as he was HUGE before RoH. Only Low Ki, Red and Daniels were bigger stars when the fed started.
