As seen on WWE Raw last night, the main event of the show featured Roman Reigns winning his first ever WWE Intercontinental Title after defeating The Miz.

According to PWInsider.com, The Miz will soon be taking time off WWE to film a new movie, which is why WWE made the call to have him drop the title to Reigns on WWE Raw last night in Houston.

While not confirmed, it is believed The Miz will be filming the latest movie in the “Marine” franchise, and he has appeared in the last three film installments.

There is currently no word on when Miz is scheduled to return to WWE TV, however, last night’s Raw was said to be his final WWE date until the filming of the new movie is complete.

As noted, after Raw went off the air last night, The Shield said goodbye to The Miz by powerbombing him through a table

Marine 4 is my fave of the movies but Marine 5 sucked and really the franchise should end there.....

I'm amazed WWE keeps producing movies let alone sequels.

I'm sure he's just gonna drop it in some bullshit way (to JJ?) so Miz being outta the picture with the belt would amount to the same. With Brock MIA on a weekly basis you need someone holding a singles belt, otherwise what is Alexa the face of the company?

I also want to throw in that The Miz was the host for the The Challenge Dirty 30 reunion and he's the host of The Challenge: Champs vs Stars. Which had CM Punk beefing with Bananas in last season and Terrell Owens beefing with CT this season. Great show.

As for The Miz, he might be my favorite wrestler of the last decade. That dudes a great story.

I like it. The WWE can continue to make money through their shitty movies (like it or not, they make money), Miz can continue to up his star power, both he and the company benefit from his A-lister gimmick getting another rub, and he comes back in a month or two without missing a beat (it would be pretty awesome if he returned late in the Royal Rumble and made the final four).

Also, I like the Reigns got his Grand Slam out of the way, since it was bound to happen eventually.

I'd be fine with The Miz leading Raw as the next heel universal champ.

I consider the following necessary viewing for anyone who's not a fan of Miz.

Nikki has a spinal condition that will probably never allow her to perform full-time again, it's a much different situation.

I am a big Miz guy but he knew he would always play 2nd best to the greatest IC champ of all time the Honky Tonk Man. They should have had HTM come in as his mgr and endorse him as the next best IC champ of all time and once he got to day 453 HTM cost him the match to keep the record.
