Well they didn’t clinch but they won which means all they have to do is win one game in March and they’re in. They have Costa Rica away, Jamaica at home, then Panama away.

EDIT: actually they can still get in without winning just as long as they at least draw with Panama.

So, as a novice of the sport who has found some interest in it (mostly from learning about the English football system from different videos on YouTube), I wonder what the percentage of Leeds fans will be upset over the team releasing Bielsa, and how much will just see it as business as usual. He got Leeds United out of the doldrums and back in to the Premier League, but this whole season has been bad for the team, and it feels like they've been in relegation mode since the season started.

I think the majority will be sad to see him leave, even if the writing has been on the wall since they lost to 7-0 to City before Christmas.
It’s funny, they could have called that and a few other games off due to Covid cases (coupled with other players being injured) but Bielsa decided against it and they have never recovered from that period.

Leeds would have generally been a team that not very many people liked but with Bielsa in charge he (I believe) softened that stance.

There's a renewed push here in Australia hoping that Bielsa will be our next NT boss. He was linked to us back ahead of the 2018 World Cup but our FA went for Bert van Marwijk instead (allegedly because he had superior English) and it's been a series of diminishing returns ever since. Here's hoping it happens!

The fact Honduras drew with Panama who is now in 5th(Costa Rica beat Canada, what are we doing RT CM Punk'd nazzer) is pretty good, US plays Panama this Sunday so I think a US win which won't be a slam dunk would pretty much punch their tickets in. We want a top 3 finish to avoid the play-in, hope we find a way.

I couldn’t watch the game because we were traveling home from Vancouver today but I checked the results when I got home and almost started crying.

The last time they qualified was the year I was born. I’m so happy.

Excited for you guys. I don't think anything will top my emotion when Australia broke their drought of non-qualification back in 2005. Unfortunately we've got an infinitely more underwhelming team these days and will again have to dredge through the playoffs to make it this time - only with the added difficulty of going against CONMEBOL rather than CONCACAF this time (if we are able to even get past UAE).
