This sure as hell, does not feel like the Rose Bowl. I'd rather have this in Pasadena, even without a crowd.
The images, man! Stark contrast between the two venues.

Devonte Smith is a beast. I would be ecstatic if the Jets drafted him.

Notre Dame once again can’t win a big one. And not only that, they once again got pasted. Once they reach a bowl game, it's like they implode.

O-H, I-O! O-H, I-O! *nervous Ralphie laughing* "We're in danger...." Well this thankfully didn't age well. Holy fucking shit, we finally beat Clemson and beat them down at that. Props to Justin Fields, Trey Sermon and above all this defense.

Notre Dame once again can’t win a big one. They had no shot vs Alabama, neither did Texas A&M. Really no one does, curious how Ohio St can hang with that triple headed monster of Jones, Smith and Harris. Yesterday was more Alabama being great vs Notre Dame being terrible. Justin Fields looked amazing out there even on cracked ribs. Statement game to the NY Jets who have 2nd pick and he said "Take a look at me now". Joe Douglas has ALOT of options here at pick 2, at the very least that 2nd pick is going up for a ransom if someone wants to swing for Fields as their QB of the future. Get me him, his WR Ovale and Najee Harris with the Jets 2 1's and high 2. Lets get some offense. Wanna see Fields vs Bama but man he is very close to solidifying his slot as the 2nd player taken. You want Justin Fields as a Jet or not sold KING KID .

Speed/ability to get out of the pocket, strong arm, good footwork - would love to see him become a hero for that team. I think he could handle the media pressure well also. I don't think Darnold is awful by any means but it feels like both parties would be suited better with a fresh start. I'd love to see Darnold go somewhere else and prove all the doubters wrong. Seems to me like Chicago or somewhere else with an aging/mediocre QB would be a good fit for him.

My concern is Justin fields is a Georgia kid and if the Falcons pick one after, I wonder if he tries to get out of being 2nd pick and maybe the Jets have to trade with Atlanta one down to accommodate for him. Is he New York made or is he the type of pull that? I agree with you that I think Darnold might be out of here, maybe to the Steelers or something.

Is it fair to say Miss St are a bunch of dirty pieces of shit? I thought Mike Leach was all offense and am surprised they keep getting into these altercations. You see that one kid kick the other @admin? Not a fan of the Miss St kids ripping that QBs helmet and putting cheapshots. Absolutely dirty university. Yeah that was total bullshit. Heath kicking the guy in the face and then running away was laughable, what a bitch. I watched the replay of the game today and it was chippy all the way through, there was a confrontation during warmups and tons of penalties all the way through - Tulsa were no angels themselves with three different personal fouls for extracurricular stuff. Fighting aside it was a good competitive game, Tulsa really should have won but their redzone offence was poor. Lot of good players on that Tulsa defence, unfortunately didn't get a chance to see Zaven Collins, but definitely a few others worth a late round draft pick.

Peach Bowl was my replay of the day, and marone, it's normally the Georgia teams choking games away but Cincinnati repaid the favour big time. Did you watch this one rad? Up 21-10 after ripping off a long TD run to start the second half, the offence proceeded to go completely in the tank with multiple three and outs, but they saved their worst for the last possession. Ridder snapped the ball early on the playclock twice saving Georgia about 20 seconds, and then they made the awful decision to throw on 3rd and 2 when Georgia had no timeouts remaining. Those calamitous clock errors gave the Bulldogs just enough time to set up for a GW 53 yard field goal and the win. A real masterclass in how not to salt away a win.

Wow Devonta Smith won the Heisman over Lawrence. Been so long since a non QB won this award, happy for Smith. He's going to be very solid wherever he is drafted too. Cannot wait for this national title game. So much interest as a Jets and football fan. Love to see if Fields can slay the Alabama juggernaut, would make him so much money. Mac Jones has a lot on the line too, trying to etch a cemented 1st round grade too.

Lawrence should have finished behind Jones and Trask to be honest. Smith was a deserved winner, pretty crazy that he's the first WR to win the Heisman since '91.
Obligatory highlight:

I think Trask bowl game without Pitts and his top WR really exposed him to get him to be 4th here, showed he wasn't alone able to do things. I think Mac Jones suffers from being a benefit of the talent around him, it's a stigma, fair or unfair Alabama QBs have to deal with. Lawrence in 2 missed games saw a team nearly go 0-2 so I am fine with him being the runner up just happy Smith got this, non Qbs have such a uphill fight to get their place.
Najee Harris not in the finals spot is a shame though, he was a machine this year.

still a little surprised by that Ohio State/Clemson game. Did not see that result coming.
ACC went a strong 0-6 in bowl games this year. Welp.

Fiesta Bowl was next up for me today. No surprise to hear that Iowa State's Matt Campbell has been receiving NFL interest, from the evidence of this game he has really established a disciplined, pro-style team that's excellent at ball control on offence and playmaking on special teams. Breece Hall will be a player in the NFL, he can clearly carry a workload and has a little bit of that Lev Bell stutter step patience.
I don't think the way Oregon chose to play their QB really aided them in anyway, they pulled Schugh from the game early on even though he led a TD drive and he didn't really get back in until they were down by three scores. Turnovers and an inability to convert on third down cost them.

I'm absolutely shocked that Michigan decided to give Jim Harbaugh a four year extension.
What he's done in the last five years should've been enough to get him fired.

The general argument is who would they be able to get that would definitely be better than him? Auburn just paid out Gus Malzahn 21 million to make a lateral coaching move.

Who's joining me for the Natty tonight? Prepare yourself for four hours of commercials and ESPN over the top-ness!
Sounds like Ohio State are going to have their work cut out trying to slow Alabama down without a couple of their starting d-linemen.

Herbie's been talking about it a lot but this feels like a huge moment already for the OSU defence after the quarter break. Feel like they need to hold to a FG here because of their depth issues and the fact that they can't really afford to be playing from behind all night.

DAMMMNNN. Hilliard with the hit stick.
Speaking of Madden, Saban's coaching like he's playing it. These 4th down conversions are annoying.
