There's really no room for overly conservative head coaches in the NFL today. I posted about the terrible HB draw which was the first playcall on the final drive of regulation - but it was much worse than I realised. 18 rushes on first down tonight resulting in 20 yards. Yikes. It undersold what Herbert did and it was to their detriment.

Even that 4th down play was stupid. Why would you not have Mike Williams run a little deeper and catch it for a first down instead of having to run for it? Still can’t believe he got overpowered by Lattimore on that play. Crazy finish.

One of my biggest pet peeves in football is teams that refuse to pass on early downs , it gives the quarterback and offense a distinct advantage as opposed to constantly putting them into bad down and distances. There is no worse offensive gameplan or playcalling in the NFL than the old school: run , run pass. Run , Run , Pass.

It speaks to the talent and performance of Herbert though too , like he was ballin out and has been all year despite rarely getting put in the best positions to succeed and facing enormous pressure.

Things I expect to happen in the near future:

-Buffalo losing to a depleted Titans team
-Buffalo players testing positive for COVID
-The NFL to continue to be fucking stupid

The Bills being without White is going to be a problem stopping A.J. Brown tonight.

I could do without Jay Feely telling us that it's some sort of miraculous achievement that the Titans were able to prepare for this game remotely.

And while I'm on the subject of the broadcast the new trend of using the skycam for every kick return is annoying.

Oh man Derrick Henry just banished Josh Norman to the shadow realm!

That's the best stiff arm I've seen since that Vance McDonald one a couple of years ago.

Buffalo has no depth on their defence this year. One injury fucks their entire gameplan. We saw it when Milano and Edmunds were both out at the same time. Buffalo held on by the skin of their teeth like we're seeing tonight.

Defence is just trying to survive this game right now. Buffalo's offence has to be perfect in the 2nd half or else it's already over.

Bills receivers have dropped way too many passes in this first half.

What a bomb by the punter though! Can't have been too many longer punts than that this season.

There will be a "haha as if Josh Allen was really a MVP candidate" blow back from dweebs but as you say this really was a classic let down game. Penalties, drops, important players out injured. I think you've posted before about the concerns regarding the defence (they're up to 28ppg allowed now) and the offence just couldn't bail them out this time.

Unlucky getting the Chiefs after their loss though.

I have to say I was highest on Indy, Tampa and Buffalos D this season. Yet Buffalos D has been super disappointing so far. This wasn’t just a let down game. This was DOMINATION from Tennessee. Give the Titans the respect they deserve. They dominated in all aspects of the game. AJ Brown, Jonnu and Tannehill were great on offense. Henry wasn’t much of a factor but still scored twice. The defense was excellent today as well. Man, I can’t say enough about how surprised I am at how good Ryan Tannehill has been in Tennessee since he got here. I don’t think Marriota would’ve done this good with this team. Unbelievable.

Dude. Anyone can perform against the Jets this season. SOTN is really irrelevant this season since the scrubs are the Jets.
