Who is this little guy, how did he get so much mic work? John Silver aka Fire Ant. I'm not sold on his current gimmick of loud weirdo but he's talented and I like him. EDIT: sorry Orange Cassidy was Fire Ant. I'm kind of drunk. John Silver has been teaming with Alex Reynolds in the indies for a while. He worked in CZW and PWG mostly.

I liked him better spicy too. I mean the Colony was the perfect tag gimmick as you could always add more ants. Think to avoid drama though, he created Orange Cassidy to have something that Quack did not control.

Ricky Starks is great, he doesn't need Taz and Cage anymore.

Gotta say, that was probably Britt Baker's best match in AEW. She must have been putting in work since that god awful match with Big Swole. She looked really good tonight.

It's kind of cool that Matt Hardy transitioned into a Michael PS Hayes role to book end his career.

As I'm not allowed to watch AEW anymore, did AEW really resort to doing jackass stunts and there was a musical number?

Darby Allin has been doing those stunts for weeks now, this was just the first time they had Steve-o involved. I thought the one he did with JPEGMafia was more dangerous.
The musical segment was on a whole other level. This went from a typical WWE segment to a 'But I'm Chris Jericho' segment in the blink of an eye. The segment seemed designed to be a bit of fun and just to get tongues wagging. The actual point of it from a narrative stand-point was just to announce next week they'll make an official announcement on MJF joining the Inner Circle.
I do remember Tony Khan saying that. I also remember it being obvious within weeks that his idea and others of a sports based product was completely different.

All these comments about Kenny Omega being the Cleaner again had me excited. I was expecting this: Instead we got regular Kenny Omega with a couple of pretty ladies doing the sweeping. It struck me as more of a hint or a homage instead of Omega actually being the Cleaner. But I did like him having all his accolades announced, and he cleaned up Sonny Kiss pretty quick. Is it mandatory for everyone to show Sonny Kiss respect and raise his hand after beating him? Is it written in their contracts that they have to do that?

I was confused as well, but moreso why anybody would be hyped for the gimmick version of Kenny Omega when he only became a star when he toned that stuff down and became serious. Which is actually what the segment was and even though there was that homage it was a cute little wink and a nod and Kenny actually came across as a somebody.
And no, that was Kenny just taking the piss out of Cody and how he showed Sonny respect after their match. He's acting like a smug babyface who is really a heel and is going to lose his composure when he gets beaten.

People liked the Jericho/MJF segment, huh?
It was entertaining, and well-crafted I'll give it that. They went so far down the cringehole that they looped back around into a more palatable form of comedy.
Still, part of me thinks that in 20 years time we'll be looking back at that segment in conversations as one of the most Wrestlecrap moments in Jericho's career.

When I first saw Britt Baker in AEW I thought she was god awful in the ring. Uncoordinated, sloppy, slow.
She has come a long way. Her technical wrestling is fantastic and she has a great heel swagger. The only flaw in her game is the Sling Blade. It still looks terrible. Ditch that move, she has a great offensive repertoire, she doesn't need it.
So FTR broke Matt Jackson's leg, huh? You know what this means, right? Matt Jackson walks into Full Gear with a broken leg and hits 700 superkicks while simultaneously being unable to walk.

Yeah thought that would hurt him more then Omega. He is always going to hate him. But MJF was someone he actually cared for.
