Ware Not really a card as much as it is a story. Story goes, Ultimate Warrior comes to the WCW in the height of the NWO’s reign over the company. Warrior says that in his absence from wrestling he harnessed the power of time travel. He would use that power to travel back in time and erase Hulk Hogan, the leader of the NWO and most evil man in the world, from history. This takes us through a historical revision of the WWF beginning with Hulk Hogan’s first WWF Championship win against the Iron Sheik. Warrior believed that if he could prevent Hogan from winning the title, he could end Hulkamania before it ever began. Warrior decided to join up with the lesser of two evils and prepared Sheik for his match with Hogan, revealing all the mysteries of the future that Hogan would pull out in order to win. Despite the revelations Warrior provided to Sheik, Hogan managed to overcome proving that it wasn’t just a one time win but that Hogan was the better competitor. Warrior went back in time multiple times trying to give Sheik the ultimate advantages with his knowledge but regardless of what information he would provide Sheik, Hogan always overcame. This left Warrior with just one option: he would need to be the one to dethrone Sheik of the title before Hogan could. With decades of experience, and in the prime of his life, the Ultimate Warrior went back in time six months prior to the original Hogan/Sheik encounter and earned the title shot before Hogan could. Ultimate Warrior’s plan of erasing Hogan from history books would begin on the night that hogan originally won his first WWF Championship: by taking the title shot for himself. NOTE: Jeff/KITN, feel free to post cards or whatever even now that voting is underway... can't hurt to try to get hose walk-ups at the very last minute on the night of the show!

I'm very confused. Did Jeff just book a one match card, or was the rest of his card lost through some weird formatting thing?

Well, KITN's roster has a bunch of my favourite wrestlers, and my all-time favourite wrestler. I'd rather watch an arbitrary card with them on it, than a one match card with Warrior vs Hogan (a match I don't particularly care for). I should say that I really like his Fan Fic idea, and had it been fleshed out to make a full card (and if KITN submitted a card), we'd have more of a match on our hands.
Voting for KITN.

I should advance instead of these two!
I'll go with Jeff for the effort.

For those curious as to whether I forgot to send the rest of my card.. not so. That’s all I sent. It’s not a card. It’s a story. This was just the first chapter. Warrior going back in time to end Hulkamania before he becomes powerful and leads the NWO. I was so floored by the wildly creative idea behind your card/match when I received and read your PM. So fucking different and interesting. I loved the taste I got. I'd love to see it fully fleshed out outside the draft whether in a standalone fed or even just as an occasional random thread project. As far as the draft and this match-up though, I'm still determining my vote.

Your favourite wrestler is Yuji Nagata?! I was not aware of that. He is not my favourite wrestler. I'm a little surprised you don't know who it is. Have another guess.

I've thought about this one for a while but I think I prefer KITN's roster so he gets my vote.

Probably perennial Top 10. Brock kinda has a caveman death grip on my number one spot. My next favorite from KITN's card is randomly Ray Rowe (but liked him before he joined ROH... Not so sure how much I like him now). Guessing your favorite is Misawa?

I went with KITN because I got a kick out of his "God of ___" stuff in the drafting phase. Seems like he had a good idea there. He just didn't have the time to fill us in on what it was.

I didn't think you watched any Japanese wrestling, so Nagata being one of your favourites surprises me. When did you first watch him? Which matches? Misawa is a good guess, but my favourite wrestler is KENTA.

Misawa is a good guess, but my favourite wrestler is KENTA. First got really introduced and into Nagata maybe ten years ago or so? I'm guessing probably via Holzhammer somehow. Or maybe BIG_STAN... Was that a former poster/lover of puro? Holzhammer is who introduced me to Shibata around then, and instantly loved him. But my Nagata love feels older for some reason. I don't know Japanese wrestling well enough otherwise to recall who Nagata wrestled in the matches that sealed the deal... I vaguely feel like some wars with Jun Akiyama? Would that make sense? Nagata struck me as a mash-up of Kurt Angle, Chris Benoit, and Tajiri. Then I discovered he was a playable character in WCW/nWo Revenge, and the love affair was set in stone. Didn't he even have some matches against Angle and Lesnar when they ventured over to Japan?

I'm not too familiar with Nagata's early career, but he sprung up in the early-mid 2000s after AJPW had folded. Akiyama went to NOAH, and I think Nagata was a NJPWer for life, but they did a lot of interpromotional stuff so it's likely he fought Akiyama. I know he wrestled Angle, probably Lesnar too. Nagata was a top guy when Angle and Lesnar had their runs.

ATTENTION! I didn't realize you can "unvote" in these polls. That's so fucking dumb. Make sure to post who you are actually voting for, ideally by tagging them. I will tally votes and determine winners this way (not via the polls since unvoting is SO FUCKING DUMB). Voting will remain open until the start of RAW next Monday (unless we all agree to shorter voting windows... just don't want to short-change anyone with the Thanksgiving holidays). The poll says 12 votes, 7 for jTjohncenaGOAT to 5 for @kimginthenorth. The posted votes tally differently, totalling 5 overall, with 4 for KITN and 1 for Jeff. I count votes from: Emperor, 🤯, PB, Baker, KING KIDMy best guesses for unaccounted-for poll votes and/or folks who should've posted votes are: RT, Arrogance_Personified, The Dazz, Call, SM, @theshow, Shootist, Raven, bodyslam, pduh, UT

Gave my vote to KITN, sure what Jeff is doing is outside the box but all we've been given is one match.

You fool! Also, what happened to KITN? He mentioned technical issues just before Round 1 kicked off. Perhaps he vanished into an internet vortex?
