Thursday Night Indianapolis (5-3) at Tennessee (6-2)
Sunday Early Houston (2-6) at Cleveland (5-3) Jacksonville (1-7) at Green Bay (6-2) Philadelphia (3-4-1) at New York Giants (2-7) Tampa Bay (6-3) at Carolina (3-6) Washington (2-6) at Detroit (3-5)
Sunday Late Buffalo (7-2) at Arizona (5-3) Denver (3-5) at Las Vegas (5-3) Los Angeles Chargers (2-6) at Miami (5-3) Cincinnati (2-5-1) at Pittsburgh (8-0) San Francisco (4-5) at New Orleans (6-2) Seattle (6-2) at Los Angeles Rams (5-3)
Sunday Night Baltimore (6-2) at New England (3-5)
Monday Night Minnesota (3-5) at Chicago (5-4)
🏈🏈🏈
TNF looks like a fascinating game with the inconsistent Colts, struggling on offence but flying on defence since Darius Leonard's return, against the Titans who took care of business against Chicago despite struggling to field a team with injuries and Covid absences.
Sunday is highlighted by a potentially fantastic game between Buffalo and Arizona. Both Josh Allen and Kyler Murray have been stacking the box score this season and are two of the most entertaining quarterback in the league. It feels like a really important game for the Cards now after dropping to the Dolphins.
In primetime you'd think that the Ravens would be too strong for the Patriots, while on Monday night the Vikings have the potential to continue on their Dalvin Cook led hot streak against the inert Bears. Minnesota face the Cowboys, Panthers and Jaguars after this one - they could be right back in the playoff hunt if they can take advantage of their schedule.
ps - accepting thread title ideas!

Got to be something with Tua vs Herbert! Battle of the rookie phenoms. You’re more clever with it though.

Got to be something with Tua vs Herbert! Battle of the rookie phenoms. You’re more clever with it though. The three rookie QBs all looking like hits (obviously admittedly very early for Tua) has been such a great storyline for this season. I know you've been all over it but across the league it almost feels like what Herbert has been doing has gone underappreciated because of the Chargers finding such ridiculous ways to lose every week. All his highlight deep passing has just been incredible. He's up there with Wilson and Mahomes for 20+ yard passes, and passing yards under pressure.

Yeah and I think he leads the league is passing yards against the blitz too , which is crazy for a rookie. As much as I also love Joey Covers , I think Herbert has been 1a to his 1b so far just in terms of what I’ve seen. Both great though. And Herbert does it being shackled by Anthony Lynn’s off terrible coaching.

I want to do QB rankings. Tonights game is interesting in that his has Rivers , who actually might be in my bottom four QB's in the league. I can't say enough every week how bad he is.
The Titans defense has been terrible all year , so I'll be interested to see what old noodle arm can do.

Do it!
Rivers is what he is at this stage - he'll throw four beautiful mid-range passes that'll convince you he's still good, followed by an inexplicable underthrow or a hoof into double coverage. The Titans need to win this game if they want to be considered Superbowl contenders.

Time to talk about my predictions for this week. As the NEW leader of the PW Pickem contest (yeah take that Foos and @admin) I think ya'll should start listening to this talking head~! THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL: INDIANAPOLIS COLTS vs TENNESSEE TITANS- This game is going to be so fun and I put my money where my mouth is already. Vegas had Tennessee as 2 point favorites earlier this week, but it has dropped to 1 point favorite and both winners are paying out at -107. So same prize either way. However, looking at the rosters and how they have performed this season, I just feel like Tennessee has the better squad. The injuries to the offense of Indy aren't doing Philip Rivers any favors and Jonathan Taylor is not that good. Going into last week, he had broken 7 tackles in 100 rushes. Awful numbers and then an awful fumble. I think it might be time for Frank Reich to go over to Jordan Wilkins which isnt much of an upgrade anyways. On the other side of the ball, I just feel like Tennessee has the offensive weapons to beat this stingy Indianapolis D. Philip Rivers on Thursday Nights is a better Philip Rivers, too. I don't know honestly. Two great teams, division rivals, but I'm sticking with the home team and most importantly; the team I put my money on. Tennessee to win 27-23.HOUSTON TEXANS vs CLEVELAND BROWNS- The Post Bill O'Brien Texans are so much more exciting, aren't they? That firing was a long time coming and Deshaun Watson is playing like the Deshaun Watson we all know and love. Cleveland might be getting Nick Chubb back this week and that could be big for this team. Baker SHOULD have a good game against Houston this week and Cleveland is going to need him to play well enough as they are a playoff team at the moment at 5-3. The Browns D should be able to put the pressure on Watson all game long, too. But STILL, I can't trust Baker Mayfield. I CAN trust Deshaun Watson, though. So this is an upset, but this is the type of game these Browns do lose. Deshaun Watson puts Houston ahead with just over a minute to go in the game. Baker Mayfield throws an interception during his hurry up offense and Cleveland loses a heartbreaker. Houston win 30-27.JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS vs GREEN BAY PACKERS- The Packers are coming into this game as heavy favorites. The heaviest favorite of the week. Still, that scares me. James Robinson is going to be the focal point of Jacksonvilles offense all game long and he will keep Jacksonville in the game. However, Aaron Rodgers is a BAAAAAD man and Aaron Jones is going to remind everyone who he is this game. 13.5 point favorites sounds about right. I think Jacksonville covers by a half point and lose. Mark my words; the Jacksonville Jaguars will not win another game this season. GB wins 34-21.PHILADELPHIA EAGLES vs NEW YORK GIANTS- Uh, the New York bias in me is screaming that the Giants should win this game because they should've won the last match up between the two teams! Still, I can't find it in me to believe it. The Eagles are healthier then they were for the last showdown and are the head of the NFC East. A win here would be HUGE for the Giants, but I just can't see it happening. I actually think the Giants get shut down in this game and fail to move the ball on offense. This might be the best game of the season for the Eagles defense, too. So yeah, I think Philly wins this one much more comfortably then their first game and you can basically hand the NFC East over to the Eagles for good now. The NFC East is over and decided after this week. Eagles win 28-10.TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS vs CAROLINA PANTHERS
- Two division foes coming into this match up after complete opposite performances from last week. The Buccaneers looked awful and the Panthers looked great and nearly upset the defending Super Bowl Champions. The Panthers are going to be without Christian McCaffrey again and I don't see Mike Davis being a game changer against the Bucs Run D in this one. The Carolina Panthers are about to run into a very angry and pissed off Tom Brady and Co and I think this game is going to be one sided. Tom Brady throws for 4 TDs in this game, 1 to Evans, 1 to Godwin, 1 to Gronk and 1 to AB. All the weapons eat in this game and the Buccaneers dominate. TB wins 38-13.
WASHINGTON ALEX SMITHS vs DETROIT LIONS
- Fuck what you wanna call the, Alex Smith is the CAPTAIN now. It was meant to happen and it has happened. On the other side, we don't know if Matthew Stafford is going to play and we know that Kenny Golloday is most likely NOT going to play. Last season, I said the Detroit Lions were better then their record indicated. This season, they're exactly where they belong at 3-5. I'm rooting for Alex Smith here so I'm going to give him a victory in his first start since shattering his leg. That Washington D is going to come out to play for Alex this week and it's going to be a beautiful story. Give me an Alex Smith win and fuck it; GIVE ME AN ALEX SMITH RUSHING TOUCHDOWN TO PUT THIS GAME AWAY WITH 3 MINUTES TO GO! Washington wins 27-17.BUFFALO BILLS vs ARIZONA CARDINALS
- This is a really tough game to pick and here's why. I really think Buffalo wins this game, I really do. I'm just trying to wrap my mind around the idea that the Arizona Cardinals can lose this week to Buffalo and then again on Thursday to Seattle and fall to 5-5. A team I was super high on going to 5-5. It's hard to fathom, but I can't see them sweeping Seattle and I can't see them beating Buffalo. I just like (and can see) the idea of Buffalo sweeping the whole NFC West this season. Give me another Josh Allen shoot out victory! 380 yards and 4 TDs for Josh Allen. 375 yards passing, 75 yards rushing, 3 total TDs for Kyler Murray. It'll be exciting. We'll start to panic about Buffalos defense when they start losing though. Until then, who needs defense?! Also, Chase Edmonds SZN did not look too hot last week and I'm starting to think it's the play calling moreso then the runningbacks. The plays are clearly built around Kyler Murray, but shotgun runs up the middle are only going to get you those garbage 2-3 yards per rush. 70 rushing yards on 25 attempts is not good. I don't blame Chase and honestly, can't even blame Kenyan Drake that much either. Kenyan Drake is back to practice, by the way, but I don't see them rushing him back for this game. That division game on Thursday against Seattle seems/feels more likely. As for how this game ends, well Kyler leads his team down field with under a minute to go to try and tie the game. He hits Nuk on the sidelines for an incredible Hopkins-like catch and that leaves 4 seconds left on the clock at the 32 yard line. Zane Gonzalez then goes on the field and misses a game tying 50 yard FG as time expires and everyone in Arizona starts to hate this motherfucker for basically costing them 1 1/2 games in back to back weeks. Buffalo survives and RT is too drunk to talk coherently about it. Buffalo wins 41-38.
DENVER BRONCOS vs LAS VEGAS RAIDERS
- Drew Lock might be the cringiest motherfucker in the NFL. The Denver Broncos are such a random group of football players, too. I really like Judge Jeudy and KJ Hamler, but their RB situation is definitely not what they pictured. It'll be a close game, because of the division rivalry but I just don't like Denvers team. I do LOVE me some RAIDAHZ, though. Time to get closer to some GRUDEN RAIDAHZ PLAYOFFZ FOOTBALL. Let's handle the business at home this week and get to 6-3, boyz. Raiders win 30-23.
LOS ANGELES CHARGERS vs MIAMI DOLPHINS
- Shout out to CM Punk'd for the genius thread title. This 'Just-In', the Miami Dolphins are really fucking good.... on defense. Yes, on defense. Chill on all the Tua hype. He hasn't done anything marvelous yet and now he'll be without Preston Williams for the next 3 weeks who got injured on a spectacular TD. Things I have thought about to decide who wins this game is this; Tua Time is Undefeated. The Los Angeles Chargers have the worst coach in the NFL not named Adam Gase. The Chargers will find a way to lose here and Miami will jump to 6-3 and remain in the playoff picture. Oh yeah, Tua is going to be the only rookie QB starting in the playoffs. That is if he doesn't get injured and we get some more Fitzmagic. Chargers will Charger and lose. Give me the Phins! Shame on the Jets. Look at the Dolphins and Bills. You waited over a decade for the Patriots to fall off the mountain top and you can't even get a piece of the pie. Hell, you can't even get a better record. Fuck, I'm starting to rant like Blindy and make everything about the Jets. Dolphins win 23-17.CINCINNATI BENGALS vs PITTSBURGH STEELERS- MY MINDS TELLING ME NOOOOOO! BUT MY BODY.... MY BODY IS TELLING ME YESSSSSSS! Sorry 🤯, but Joe fucking Burrow is going to be the ONE in 8-1 for this Pittsburgh Steelers. Big Ben being on COVID exempt list and playing hobbled. I just think Cincinnati takes advantage of this and pulls off this weeks STUNNAH. The Steelers have to lose eventually and why not to the legend Joe Burrow. There really is no expert opinion into this, but just me going with my gut and my gut is in my body and if you read above, my body is telling me yes! Bengals win 24-23.SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS vs NEW ORLEANS SAINTS
- Who dat? Who dat? Who dat say dey gonna beat dem Saints? Not the Buccaneers! What an ass whooping they just laid on the Buccaneers on Primetime and now they get Nick Mullens and a bunch of randoms and the Saints have caught a gold rush. Oh yeah, CM-PUN'D! I kind of want the Niners to do good, not only for pduh but so that George Kittle can have a reason to return this season. But not against Dem Saintz. Give me the Saints here to continue kicking ass. Michael Thomas scores and goes for 100 yards here. Alvin Kamara does his usual Super Kamario stuff too and gets 100+ total yards and a TD as well. The defense goes back to back weeks giving up single digit points as they only give up 1 TD in this game and win BIG. Saints win 38-7.
SEATTLE SEAHAWKS vs LOS ANGELES RAMS
- Nobody wants to hype this game up like it should be hyped, but I will. HYPED! Especially considering I have Jared Goff taking over my Patrick Mahomes BYE-week duties in this game. Russel Wilson couldn't keep up with Josh Allen last week and I think the same thing happens this week. Which makes next Thursdays show down between the Cardinals and Seahawks that much more entertaining. The Cards/Seahawks will both go into battle trying to snap out of a losing streak. In this one, the Rams win a shoot out and they make just enough (like Buffalo) defensive plays to win the game. King GOFFrey for the WIN! All of a sudden, both teams are 6-3 and the Cards are right behind them at 5-4. Shit, if Arizona beats Buffalo and the Rams win this one, we could see an epic 3 way tie at 6-3! I'm sticking with my gut, though. Buffalo going 3-0 against the NFC West and Goff out-dueling Russ. I think it might be time to hand the MVP award to Patrick Mahomes, amirite? Rams win 38-30.SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL:BALTIMORE RAVENS vs NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS
- BIG TRUSS! MORE LIKE BIG BUSS'T. Am I right fantasy owners of Lamar Jackson? Dude was a 2nd round draft pick and has been blah as blah can be. To make matters worse in fantasy football, he has absolutely ruined the possibility of any breakout potential for Gus Edwards or my dawg JK Dobbins with Mark Ingram injured. One of the Bengals defensive players said it best. It's easy to scheme against Baltimore because all Lamar does is run or throw the ball to Hollywood or Mark Andrews. Although Hollywood would like to disagree with that. Amirite Souljas?! Lamar complained this week that defenses are calling out their plays before they run it and it's become painfully obvious that the Ravens have become a shell of what they were last year. Maybe Lamar isn't as great as we thought he was? Well, not WE. I never thought he was great. Anyways, quick jump back to JK Dobbins. I feel like Dobbins is this seasons Aaron Jones from 2 years ago. Remember 'Free Aaron Jones'? Well, 'FREE JK DOBBINS'! Fortunately for this unimpressive, stagnant offense, they still have a solid defense and get to show it off on Primetime this week against Evil Bill and WASHED UP Cam Newton. The better then Lamar in his prime Lamar. But Cam is WASHED (IMO) and this Patriots team doesn't have the weapons to threaten this Ravens defense. I could see Bill putting together a perfect game plan to keep this game close, but it'll be like the Baltimore/INDY game from last week. It'll be close for 3 quarters, but in the end the Baltimore D forces enough pressure and a crucial turnover to help Lamar put the game away. I don't expect fire works here and the game will be closer then the score indicates. Close through 3 quarters, Baltimore pulls away in the 4th. Ravens win 27-13.
MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL: MINNESOTA VIKINGS vs CHICAGO BEARS
- @admin already mentioned how cake this schedule gets for Minnesota after this week and it is the absolute truth. To be fair, the Minnesota Dalvins aren't really world beaters so even a cake schedule doesn't guarantee wins. Some of those 'cake wins' might be looked at as 'cake wins' for the opposing teams. Mainly Carolina and Dallas because Jacksonville is not winning another game this season! So I'm not going to get too ahead of myself with the Vikings right now. Not even if the playoff format gets stretched to 16 teams do I see them snatching the 8th seed. Unfortunately, I can see the Chicago Bears snatching an 8th seed if that were the case and they really do NOT deserve it. Let's avoid talking about how stagnant this offense has been and talk about how it might be time for Matt Nagy to go. I feel like some things happen to franchises or players and they become impossible to recover from. Chargers will Chargers, Sam Darnold seeing ghosts and for the Bears the DOUBLE DOINK. Oh yeah; there's also drafting Mitch over Mahomes and Watson. So I think a change from Matt Nagy might do well for both the Bears and the Head Coach. He is no offensive genius even though he has made Jimmy Graham look 5 years younger. STILL, Nick Foles is not the answer. Mitchell Trubisky is not the answer. This poor defense will NOT have an answer for the hottest RB in the league the past few weeks in Dalvin Cook. This is the perfect 'get right' game for the Chicago offense against the not-so-good Minnesota D, but I just can't trust them. The Bears fall to .500 and the Vikings give themselves some hope. So for old times sake, I'll end it with this. Kirk Cousins hits Kyle fucking Rudolph for the GW TD with just under 2 minutes to go in the game. Foles fails, Cousins wins. YOU LIKE THAT?! Vikings win 24-17.

Then there's Sam Darnold who has no protection. Then there's Nick Foles who can't move the ball. Trubisky wasn't much better. Drew Lock is obnoxious and I'd take Rivers over him, too. Jimmy Garappolo sucks, too. Matthew Stafford has fallen off, too, but that goes unnoticed for some reason. Kirk Cousins? Eh. Lay off motherFREEKEN Rivers guys!

I'm actually confident about Buffalo winning Sunday so that's probably the best sign there is that they're going to lose.
I think it'll be a close game no matter what and Buffalo is going to ride or die on Josh Allen's performance yet again. We have no run defence and our secondary has been underperforming all season. Kyler Murray is going to take full advantage of that and I bet Hopkins has a game.
Basically Allen has to be on point and be prepared for a shootout. He caught Wilson having a bad game last week and made him pay. That won't happen twice in a row. Need big numbers again.

WOOOOOO! And for that I will drop $50 on a Philip Rivers rushing TD next week. Bet on a 49+ TD pass too.

As long as he ain’t near Jaire. Also hoping King is back , because Josh Johnson will definitely give up a TD.

I’m sitting in a parking lot for two hours waiting for the kid to be done with hockey practice so I might try and do a variation of rankings.
The Elite - Patrick Mahomes - Russell Wilson - Aaron Rodgers
The Next Level - Kyler Murray - Lamar Jackson - Josh Allen - Ryan Tannehill - Deshaun Watson - Tom Brady
The Young Guns - Justin Herbert - Joe Burrows
The System QB - Jared Goff - Drew Brees - Ben Roethlisberger
Purgatory - Derek Carr - Matthew Stafford - Matt Ryan - Teddy Bridgewater
Need to see More - Tua
Wildcards - Carson Wentz (I don’t like this) - Baker Mayfield
Fallen Stars - Cam Newton - Philip Rivers - Kirk Cousins
I’m not even sure at this point - Drew Lock - Sam Darnold - Daniel Jones
Don’t think I care to do more , but Rivers no doubt IMO holds the Colts back at this point. I joke about Brees being tough to watch at times but Rivers is the hardest QB in the NFL to watch for long stretches of times.

Baker Mayfield is such an enigma he gets his own category.
