Just hope Haden's injury isn't major, losing him alone turned in a big way.
Really, pretty much assured playoffs, just hope all the right people are healthy by then, first seed or not.

I do think all the reactions around the interwebs to a battered Steelers team losing to what's actually a top 10 defense are kind of adorable, swear they're gonna lose every week, then go "See, I told you." when they finally do. Just have to hope they get healthy and remember how to catch a damn ball come playoff time, their inexplicable butterfingers in the last two weeks are really what made the Ravens game close and potentially swung this one (though McFarland on 4th wasn't a drop, just a rookie making a bad play).

What reactions? It is newsworthy when a 11-0 team loses at home to a team with a losing record. People were all over the Chiefs for losing to the Raiders, a consensus better team than Washington. It's how it goes when you're at the top of the league.

Is it worth mentioning now that the Chiefs haven’t lost to a team with a losing record since Mahomes started his first game?
Edit: Aww damnit the Colts wound up with a losing record last season. They had a winning record when they played the Chiefs then the injury bug.

I put the Pittsburgh thing down to two factors. The main one is that I don't think anyone impartial wanted to see them become a 16-0 team because they don't feel special at all and have been the beneficiary of a pretty easy schedule with what I would classify as only three notable wins. They're not particularly fun to watch, the offence is dull and quite flawed, they can't run the ball, they can't pass beyond 20 yards. They're a far better team than the 2019 Patriots, but there's definitely some parallels in terms of the dominant defence crushing weak opponents in the first half only for the weaknesses to start appearing down the stretch. Maybe I end up being dramatically wrong but I would be absolutely shocked if they win the Super Bowl, and I'm now doubtful they even make the AFCCG.
The second factor is the fanbase.

It's how it goes when you're at the top of the league. I'm talking over reactions, like suddenly they're actually terrible because of a single loss to a top 10 defense (who're a couple dumb plays away from a solid record), while riddled with key injuries. Not just "Haha, you lost." reaction.

People like to overreact to everything , especially every loss - they’ve done it with every team this year ... Pittsburgh will be fine. They may lose in the playoffs and have some concerns with consistency and Bens deep ball but I like their ceiling.

I'm taking over Kid's role of talking about my other fantasy team that no one else really cares about for tonight's game. I'm trailing by 13 points with Schultz and Lawrence against the #1 ranked opponent with Awuzie.
Looks like we're heading into more Covid drama with the Ravens. Dez Bryant just tweeted that he was pulled out of pre game warmups because he tested positive. He's out of his revenge game vs the Cowboys - but surely must have been a close contact with plenty of people who will be involved tonight?

LVE bit so bad on the fake on the Lamar TD run. He and Jaylon Smith are already struggling to contain Jackson. They really haven't bounced back this season like a lot of people expected them to.

Lamb jumped a millisecond too soon. That would have been a cool end to the half.

Ridiculous no call DPI on Lamb just before the half.

Couple of key third down conversion runs by Lamar on that drive and then he drops an absolute DIME to Hollywood Brown in the back corner of the endzone. Two touchdown lead should be enough to see this one out for the Ravens.

Dallas is hanging tough for the right to draft Zach Wilson I think, I really think they go Wilson if he's there honestly. May be unpopular with Prescott and the way that went down and I imagine the locker room will be upset but Wilson is a MAGA kid and is going to swoon Jerryworld.
Pats may have to trade up with someone to get the jump for him. Dallas is set up real nice.

Quick run down of what transpired this week in football: 1- THE DEZ BRYANT COVID THING.- I partially talked about this during the game, but ARE WE FUCKING SERIOUS RIGHT NOW?! Maybe I am still having PTSD and/or anxiety from COVID and how it has affected my mental state this year, but did this really just happen last night? Did they really have Dez Bryant on the practice field catching passes, sprinting, stretching, saying whats up to former staff members or teammates or whoever he still knows from the Dallas organization? Did he just expose the Dallas Cowboys? I mean, I guess Dalton and Zeke already had it, but still. Then what about the remaining players from the Ravens organization who didn't have it? Did he expose them? Or people in the stadium that are working? I can't believe it took them THAT LONG to get his results to the point where they had to pull him off the practice field. What an absolute FAILURE by whoever was in charge of these results. So damn dangerous. From a football perspective, I'm going to assume that the TD Miles Boykin caught last night would have been the TD Dez caught in his revenge game. It killed ESPN, NFLs major storyline heading into the game. 2- LAMAR JACKSON IS JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH!- While we're on the Ravens. Sure, last season he was incredible and won MVP and yada yada. Then he was figured out in the playoffs and many people just made excuses like he's young and he will have plenty of opportunities to make up for his failure to win a playoff game. Sure he looked good last night throwing for 2 TDs and running 1 in, but this was against Dallas. Gus Edwards (Staten Island represent) and JK Dobbins had great games, too. This team is going to win games by running the ball, because they have a solid D. But what are they going to do when they face teams with elite offenses AKA the Chiefs? They're going to get beat, because Lamar can't make the important plays with his arms. Teams have figured out Lamar Jackson, but the Cowboys suck so we shouldn't get too excited about this performance. The Baltimore Ravens are currently on the outside looking in right now, but I do feel like they make sneak in. I just don't have any confidence in Lamar leading the way. Hollywood Brown also needs to get out of Baltimore if he ever wants to be a great WR. He's never going to be that with Lamar Jackson as his QB. 3- DA BEARZ FIND NEW WAYS TO LOSE!- Listen, I get it. Nobody was watching the Bears/Lions game. The way the Bears lost on Sunday was inexucusable. I really believe that Mitch Trubisky is this teams best option to have an actual offense on the field over Nick Foles. However, Nick Foles is not dumb enough to lose the game for the team like Mitch Trubisky was. Not only did they lose, because Mitch fumbled WITH THE LEAD AND UNDER 2 MINUTES TO GO IN THEIR TERRITORY, but he cost the Bears a chance to be in a 3 way tie for that final playoff spot in the NFC. There's no reason they should have lost that game and I don't even blame their defense for giving up 34 points and the GW TD. The Lions were gifted great field position to win the game and Matthew Stafford already won a game like that this season. I was mad at how Carolina lost to Minnesota the week prior, but this one is far worse. Matt Nagy has sealed his fate, in my opinion. He is done for this season. The Bears are done for this decade. The 'Double Doink' will haunt them. Their biggest haunting will be drafting Mitch Trubisky over Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson. An elite defense has been wasted and there really is no saving them. The only thing that MIGHT help them in the future is when Aaron Rodgers retires, but even then, why should we believe in this franchise? I don't. From starting the season off at 5-1 to now a 6 game losing streak; it's unbelievable. There are just no excuses. Matt Nagy needs to go, but for now, they have to keep Mitch Trubisky as their starter because Nick Foles makes that offense lethargic. The season is technically SAVEABLE weirdly enough. They get Houston, MINNESOTA (BIG ONE) and Jacksonville in the next 3 games. If they can snap their losing streak against Houston this coming week, they can be in position to take over that 7th seed from Minnesota Week 15. It's just so damn hard to trust them. Knowing them; they'll beat Houston AND Minnesota and then lose to Jacksonville. No matter the result; I think Matt Nagy still has to go. 4- CLEVELAND IS GOING TO THE PLAYOFFS AND THE WORLD IS ABOUT TO END!- Shout out to Gridiron Heights for that joke. It's UNBELIEVABLE the way they manhandled Tennessee. The Browns who just keep on surprising me. We've talked about how nobody respects them and how they are doing so much better without OBJ. But man, this team is just old school football good! That defense is bad ass. Their running duo of Chubb and Hunt is the best in the league. Shit, if they were in the NFC, I would dare say that they are the team to beat. However, they sit in a loaded AFC and I still don't know if they have it in them to beat teams like the Steelers and the Chiefs when it matters most. I am extremely intrigued to watch them this coming Monday. I want them to prove to me and to the world that they are GOOD ENOUGH when they face Baltimore. The Ravens destroyed them Week 1, but that was an eternity ago. I want to see what the Browns do on Primetime before we paint the real picture of what this team is. In between facing the Ravens and Steelers (to end the season) they get to face both NY teams in the Jets and the Giants Weeks 15 and 16. They SHOULD handle their business there and shit, if they can beat Baltimore then we are looking at a 12-3 Cleveland Browns team facing the Pittsburgh Steelers Week 17 in what COULD be for the division title. Color me curious and the color of curiosity is BROWN. 5- THE AFC SOUTH IS NOT SCARING ANYONE.
- Let's start with the Tennessee Titans; AWFUL DEFENSE! I mean, shit. That defense is a fucking joke if we're going to be honest with ourselves. They sit at 8-4 and should easily reach 10-11 wins because they have Jacksonville, Detroit and Houston still on the schedule. They also have to face the Packers, which should be an interesting match up considering GB can't stop the run (HENRY) and Tennessee can't stop as offense (Rodgers). I just don't know what to expect from this team in the playoffs. Not good enough, in my opinion. It's crazy because after they busted the Bills open in Week 4, I thought this team was a total package. Lately, they are just a team that revived the career of Tannehill, but can't put together a strong defensive performance. On the other side, you have the Indianapolis Colts. They have a sort of similar schedule as the Titans as they too have to face the Texans and the Jaguars. Let me remind everyone that the Jaguars only win this season was against this Colts team. Right now, they are tied with the Titans but sit in the wildcard slot. The difference betwen their schedules is that the Titans face Detroit which is not a good football team and the Colts face the Raiders which is a team trying to get into the playoffs. Then you got Tennessee with Green Bay and Indianapolis with Pittsburgh. I would say the Colts have a slightly tougher schedule. I don't think they are going to sneak into the division title. Their defense is better then Tennessee, but their offense is just BLAH. I think @admin said it, but this team is a borefest to watch. They'll most likely get into the playoffs because of their SOS, but right now they sit in the 7 seed and would have to face either the Chiefs or the Steelers. If they're lucky, they can possibly slip into the 6 seed and take on the Bills, but they are not scaring anyone to be honest. 6- KID DIGGS JOSHUA; but TO AN EXTENT.
- Word play got me a lot of pussy in my day. Here's some mind fucking for you. Maybe I really think Josh Allen sucks OR maybe I'm doing reverse psychology to repay RT for jinxing the Bills when they had a huge lead in the playoffs? You ever thought of that, Bill?! ANYWAYS; they completely embarrassed the 49ers on Primetime Monday Night and Josh Allen LOOKED GREAT. Do I trust him with the game on the line? No. Sorry, but he has to prove it to me to get my total respect. You know who has my total respect, though? Stefon FUCKING Diggs. That whole diva shit he pulled to get out of Minnesota might have left a bad taste in peoples mouths. Some wanted him to fail, because nobody shines with a new team so fast! But this guy does and he was the missing piece for this offense. Truthfully, I don't even think this team needs John Brown to ever come back. Gabriel Davis has been great, McKenzie is a nice X-Factor and then there's this guy Cole Beasley who was just a machine on Monday. The Buffalo Bills are one Nuk Bomb away from being 10-2 and 1 game back of the first round BYE, but they also have Miami breathing down their necks one game back. Both teams have to face tough opponents with Buffalo facing Pitt this coming week and Miami getting the Chiefs. Both still have to face New England AND each other to close out the season. Maybe we shouldn't count out Bill Bellicheck, yet, but I'm not counting this Bills team out. I trust Josh Allen MORE then I trust Tua. WAY MORE. I trust Ryan Fitzpatrick more then I trust Tua. The Bills should hold on to that 3 seed and might have to face Miami back to back weeks with Week 17 and the first round of the playoffs. We shall see. Buffalo is in good hands for now. 7- THE NFC L-EAST!- I'm a New York fan. I've made that clear. I would love to see the Giants make the playoffs and win this division. I'm also a betting man if I had to place my bet right now on who wins this division; it's that football team in Washington. I love Joe Judge and the Giants defense, but I just think the RIGHT THING TO SEE is Ron Rivera and Alex Smith in the playoffs. Two men who have had an extremely tough year and have been going through it. These two absolutely deserve to get into the playoffs. The Eagles are going from Wentz to Hurts, the Cowboys are going from BAD to WORSE. The Giants are really good, but the storyline and my heart wants to see Washington win the East. Remember; a division winner with a losing record is 2-0, that's right; UNDEFEATED in the first round of the playoffs. Seattle did it, Carolina did it. WASHINGTON WILL DO IT. Washington WILL win the NFC East and they WILL beat/stun/shock/upset the Seattle Seahawks in the first round. MARK THIS POST. 8- ARIZONA CARDINALS ARE NOT GOOD.
- That Hail Mary is the only reason this team is even tied for that final playoff spot. I mean, wow. Kyler Murray is clearly not 100%. That defense is not good enough to stop good teams. Their run game, run game plan is bad. This team is just not good and it's a damn shame because I really want to see them get into the playoffs. I really want to see Larry Fitzgerald in the playoffs, even if it's in Lambeau. I REALLY, REALLY don't want to see a Kirk Cousins led team go to the playoffs. Especially if we have to see Minnesota face New Orleans, again. We know how that always turns out for the Saints. I want this Cardinals team in the playoffs. They have winnable games against the Giants and Eagles coming up, but who are the Cardinals? Are those winnable games for Arizona or is Arizona a winnable game for the NFC East teams? Then they wrap it up with SF (who might have Kittle back with a small playoff chance) and the Rams. I just can't see a path where they get in. They'd have to go AT LEAST 3-1 in these next 4 games and it's a shame. Larry Legend should have his career end in a playoff game. He deserves that. If we're being honest with ourselves; this team should be 5-7 though. I don't know if they are better then 8-8 though. 9- THE NFC IS THE HUNGER GAMES- I STILL don't know who the best team in the NFC is. The Saints D has gotten better at the right time, just like last season. Drew Bees should be back, even though the Saints record WITHOUT Brees is excellent. The Green Bay Packers have Aaron Rodgers and the LEAGUES BEST WIDE RECEIVER DAVANTE ADAMS! That's right UT , but their run D sucks. The Los Angeles Rams have an ELITE DEFENSE that would be the difference maker if not for having to worry which Jared Goff shows up. The Buccaneers have Tom Brady and an ELITE defense, but which TB shows up in the playoffs? Vintage TB12 or 2020 TB12? The Seahawks have Russell Wilson, but they have a weak defense. We went over the NFC East and that 7th seed doesn't scare me. It's really going to be a crap shoot and there truly is no favorite. The NFC playoffs are going to be super fucking exciting. IN THE END; they will not be the conference to win the Super Bowl. Why? I'll tell you why! 10- PATRICK MAHOMES IS GOING TO BE THE GOAT.- THAT'S RIGHT! mikec PEW PEW PEW PEW! I'm not scared of any team in the AFC. Fuck the Steelers 🤯 RagnarokMike , sorry not sorry. The Titans? Ha. That D will get shredded! The Colts? Sorry jTjohncenaGOAT , but that offense aint keeping up. The Bills? You wish RT ! The Dolphins? pduh has a better chance spelling Tuas last name then they have of beating the Chiefs. The Browns? OH STAHP! There is no team that can beat the Chiefs in the AFC OR the NFL. PERIOD. Even when Mahomes has a not-so-Patty game, he still finds a way to win. There is no team that can KETCHUP to these guys.

Really hope people don't start jumping on Lamar's nuts again , last night he played a shitty team with a terrible defense and the game was in the Ravens hands for the most part - and he did the most damage with the lead. Dude is still a front runner. Also @admin , are you really shocked that Nolan hasn't been canned yet? McCarthy fought and fought to keep Capers around for year after year of shitty defense and terrible coaching adjustments. He's loyal to a fault when it comes to his staff. I mean Jerry could definitely step in and be more assertive than Thompson or Murphy was for the Packers but I promise you that McCarthy wants to fire no one. Probably wants to extend him for 3 more seasons.
