Doesn't even need to be 30. They did MITB this year, so it's the next HISTORIC thing they can tag.

If it's a Royal Rumble match, it'll have to be over the top rope right? I'd like to see it happen, but none of that being eliminated by going through the middle rope crap. Doesn't even need to be 30. They did MITB this year, so it's the next HISTORIC thing they can tag. I doubt it would be thirty, given there is only ninteen women (twenty-two if you want to count Maria Kanellis and Nikki Bella) on the main roster that would compete in this (not counting the champions obviously ), having said that, they could easily do a twenty-five women's Royal Rumble match, with a few NXT entrants being added, as well as a surprise return or two for the match.

I "get" the addition of new faces to freshen up the roster and shake things up, but the way these 5 were called up and did pretty much the same thing on RAW that they did on Smackdown did not help.
Aside from that, Mandy and Sarah were barely featured on NXT. Liv and Sonya still need a lot more character work. And Ruby was a pretty good babyface that abruptly turned heel. Ruby's the only call-up I can understand even with this craziness.

Kaye's summed up all the problems with this. They clearly didn't learn their lesson from the last time they did a mass NXT callup - and at least that time those women had been on NXT for quite a while and had made their names, and were "ready".
That news story reeks of Vince seeing a photo of Mandy and blowing his load over her not being on TV yet, and I say that as someone who was on her bandwagon as quickly as anyone for similar reasons.

I just realized now that they put Liv Morgan on the same roster as her gimmick twin Carmella. This is not going to be any good for her unless they retool her JERSAYYYY~~~ gimmick into something else, especially since they're both heels.
On the other hand, if they were so intent on calling up heels that were barely featured on NXT, why not just call up Bianca Belair, for goodness sakes? Her hair would be more over than Liv and Sarah pretending to be mean girls at this point in time, though I will acquiesce that Sarah has more talent and experience in the ring than Bianca.

The women's division is stale.
Let's not dance around this notion, that it's not.
The problem with the WWE is, people hang around far too long these days. How many chances does Erick Rowan get to get over? Or Zack Ryder? Half the WWE roster is just, there. Not really contributing much. There's maybe 15-20 core performers that add any real value - however you want to measure it.
And unfortunately very few of those performers are women. And it's not through lack of trying. There's a reason why Alexa Bliss has won 4 Championships in less than 18 months - she's good, a great character, she's a performer as opposed to be a girl that can wrestle well - but, it's also the fact, most of the women are boring as batshit and there's not a lot of options.
That, and the talent pool on each brand is super shallow. I've said this before, split the roster is half, split the depth of real talent in half. It gets boring real quick. And also it loses a hell of credibility when the majority of the talent is average at best. There's only so many times you can see Bayley or Sasha or Charlotte cut the same promo and wrestle the same match.
You've got a great heel in Alexa, and a great face in Asuka. That's it. And potentially you could build a great program around these two.. the rest, we've either seen it, or don't want to see it.

Ryder's best years are well and truly behind him.
He peaked in 2011 as a Barry Horowitz/Colin Delaney/Mikey Whipwreck meme character and the WWE did what they do best. Bring in one of the Brothers of Destruction (or the Unholy Alliance if either of them are unavailable) to kill the momentum and convince fans he wasn't good enough to begin with.

He got a huge pop when he won the IC title...so people still care and like him The reaction going into the match was 'WTF is Ryder doing in this match?'. They popped for the spot, but as soon as he dropped the belt, the fans moved on. The problem with the WWE is that they have a roster full of mid-carders. There are guys they don't believe in and for whatever reason keep around who date the product. I look at a guy like Zack Ryder and straight away I'm reminded of the Jersey Shore fad which ended well over 5 years ago.

The women's division is only stale because of bad booking and them doing nothing with so many of the characters. Heck, they don't even let the characters be characters.
They ruined Bayley, then call the division stale. They do nothing with Becky lynch for over a year, them call it stale. Sasha is being wasted.
Just look at survivor series, Stephanie McMahon in every segment she shared screen time with the women was presented as better than them and spoke down to them, of course the acts will become stale when they are presented as such.
And these characters they've brought in. They just seem like two collections 's of three random women tossed together with no common ground. Back in the day you had factions that seemed like they belonged together. Now these girls will just be lost in the numbers, half of them will be irrelevant very quickly.

Exactly right, The make the talent look like worker bees then call them stale. Maybe Vince and crew need to look in the mirror and re-evaluate how they book the superstars.

Rumor has it, Many of the current main roster ladies are nervous now that all the recent call ups means they will be let go. Ladies like Dana Brooke

Completely agree with you nazzer. If it were me, I would of had Paige return on Smackdown with just Ruby Riot, have it where Paige is pissed off because none of the women were there for her during the last year or so when her life was a living hell due to the leaks and her relationship with Del Rio, make it seem like if it weren't Ruby saving her from it, she would probably be dead (slight exagggeration but whatever), or something similar to that. As for the others, I would have had Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan debut on Raw as sort of a female Nexus, though admittedly I'm not really sure how well that would have worked out anyways.

I like the idea of giving Paige a BFF. Right now it's important that they take the focus off her drama and allow her to write a new chapter in her career.
Not a fan of invasion storylines though. It's the laziest storyline in Pro Wrestling and usually consists of putting a bunch of guys and girls together who have very little in common. I would try and find different ways to debut each girl. One could partner with an established diva, another could just be called up and win in her try-out match, another could be a female detective brought into the Fashion Files as a parody of new characters being brought into later seasons and one can get the vignette deal.
But that's just tossing out an alternative because I hate it when people who criticise without putting themselves out there. The way it actually went down worked out fine on Raw, but when they did it again on SmackDown it wasn't met with the positive reception it should have been.

That's why I hope they take the time to establish motives and develop their characters properly. Instead of just rushing them out there with no plan.

Honestly, my biggest issue with this was how the two sets of call-ups did exactly the same thing on RAW and Smackdown. I was okay with Paige, Mandy, and Sonya on RAW. But having Ruby, Sarah, and Liv do the same on Smackdown just got an eyeroll from me. I hope next week's shows will attempt to differentiate the two trios OR enforce that they may be a connection between the two groups.
