So is Aaron Rodgers MVP yet?
It's going to be such an interesting race between he and Mahomes.
Mahomes has him in Passing Yards and Team Wins.
Rodgers has him in Touchdowns , INT's and Passer Rating.
Mahomes is defending champion and does truly magical Mahomes things.
Rodgers spent all offseason hearing he doesn't have the pieces to succeed and has fallen off.
Mahomes has a great supporting cast with two elite options and other good ones.
Rodgers has the best WR in the NFL and one of the better offensive lines.
I'm interested to see how it plays out. Vegas still has Mahomes as the favorite , but my one argument is that if you are going to spend months (and we are guilty of this at PW too) saying Rodgers doesn't have the supporting cast to succeed because he isn't as good and use that whole narrative - then how do you not vote him MVP at this point considering the season he is having with what was deemed a "bad supporting cast". You can't have it both ways.
I hope Rodgers wins another one. Might need the Chiefs to at least lose one more game. We will see though.
One of the better MVP races in some time?

Also KING KID there needs to be some redrafts done on here soon , I think it would be fun. Looking back at old drafts is always interesting.

I'm surprised Mahomes is still the betting favourite. I don't see much in his favour. He is certainly on the better team and you could argue he's more flashy, but Rodgers has been the most efficient quarterback this season. It is close enough that it could swing before the end of the season, but right now, for me, it's Rodgers. The offensive line point is an interesting one. Could Rodgers do it behind the Chiefs offensive line? Probably not to the same degree. How much Mahomes would be compromised by losing Hill and/or Kelce is something we just don't know.
Interesting race this year, but common sense says Rodgers is ahead.

Chiefs having no running game is the one thing to me that seems to be leaning the race. That and the record. I thought Rodgers would pull even as a favorite this week but these media narratives decide a lot early and Rodgers had fallen out of the conversation for weeks after the TB game. I think Pat will win, but can’t begrudge Rodgers as I feel like their games are so similar that Pat will prolly pile up a few of these puppies either way.

Their running games are actually pretty similar , the Packers have more yards on more attempts but their rushing yards per play are identical which makes them similarly effective. Their rushing TDs are also identical. I think both teams use the run in the same way. Not to dominate on the ground for 60 minutes but to distract and keep the defense honest while the QBs feast. Either way the two best offenses in the NFL , the juggernaut quarterbacks , if the Packers win out I could see Rodgers taking the lead. I really , reaalllly hope they can find a way to meet in the Super Bowl. I don’t see how their would be a punt in that game.

The Packers need to learn to stop the run before they can think that far ahead. I’d slightly lean to the Rams over the Packers right now in the NFC. I would put Packers at 3 behind the Rams and Saints. The Bucs and Seahawks are a tier below GB.

Giants OC Jason Garrett tested positive for COVID-19 thus meaning you know who is calling the game for the Giants this Sunday evening? Freddie Kitchens. Did you put the jinx on @admin ? I thought this was reasonably good news actually as apart from a few small bright spots Garrett's offence has been pretty vanilla and unprolific, but then I read that Bradberry's gone on the Covid list as well. Fire up Rashad Higgins where you can in fantasy!

Fire up Rashad Higgins where you can in fantasy! Rashaad Higgins is available in my league too BUT I can’t find it in me to trust a Cleveland receiver. I’m currently stuck between Tee Higgins, Darnell Mooney and Lynn Bowden Jr. to fill my last opening. My opponent has Austin Ekeler going tonight so let’s see how the semi finals goes. AS FOR MY BET OF THE NIGHT; $75 on a Justin Herbert TD. Win: $318.75. I wanted to take it easy on my bet tonight because I wanted to save the money in my account for the weekend games so I did one small bet and used the other $25 on a promotion for Lakers/Clippers which is “Bet $25, win $25 if Lakers don’t lose by 76 points.” I figured I’ll win $25 for free.

I don't think the difference in EPA between rushing plays and passing plays could have ever been more distinctly obvious than on that first drive by the Chargers. Basically all the rushes resulted in losses, close to all of Herbert's passes went for a first down.
Firing the DC hasn't made much of a difference to the Raiders terrible defence.

Got to admit he dropped that TD right in the bucket for Waller. We'll see if he can keep it up.

Nearly took Big Ben out for Derek Carr in the semifinal matchup vs tinybignuts, very happy I stood with Ben. Waller even got a TD, still got a chance to pull the upset off.

The only thing slowing Herbert down so far is his coaches calling running plays and not going for it on fourth down.

God damn this Raiders secondary is awful. Bucky summed it up with this tweet. You don't see pro players completely misunderstanding their responsibility like that very often. Completely embarrassing for the Raiders.

Chargers 4th and 1 in plus territory = punt Raiders 4th and 1 in plus territory = convert, go on to score TD
How can you be so bad at this?

So glad Gruden challenged that two yard gain on first down so Herbert could throw it for 15 on the next play.
