Danny Hodge passed away yesterday. Great pro and amateur wrestler.

The NCAA most dominant wrestler of the tournament award is named after him. It’s the Heisman of amateur wrestling.

The man was a true hardass and would crush an apple with his bare hands.

He went on to have an amazing pro wrestling career as well.

Danny Hodge is my favorite wrestler I've never seen wrestle.

Not gonna lie. I thought Danny Hodge passed away like 15 years ago.

I've never seen him wrestle either but he's always been talked up huge by JR, Cornette and basically every other old timer. I vaguely recall him attending a few WWF shows around the Attitude Era where they'd highlight him in the crowd and put him over on commentary.
