I don't remember the last time a team took off Week 17 vs the team they end up facing the following week where the lax team ended up winning. This happened with the Bengals and Jets back in 2009, Bengals slept behind the wheel final Sunday night game vs NYJ to rest guys and they got blitzed by the Jets the week after.

There's no better options at QB coming open, more important to find a run game next year, biggest thing hurting them, one dimensional offenses are never a good thing. Being lower on the football intelligence scale myself, can you or anyone explain what happened to our run game? Is it the play design/calling or talent? I didn't think James Connor was supposed to be that shit. So, like, what's the explanation? Fichtner definitely needs replacing, but they haven't been able to run block worth a damn either, Ramon Foster retiring certainly didn't help things. Seems like the team just can't ever be complete, great offense, lackluster defense, defense gets great, lose their QB, QB comes back, can't run to save their lives. Wheels just finally came off.

One of the marriages that should have lasted was Leveon Bell and PIT. He looked lost with the Jets under Gase and looks like a shell in KC and Steelers had 1 strong year of running with Connor in his absence. He added such a dimension to that team that they have not replicated as a dual threat back. Steelers gotta draft a RB Round 1, Jets may have to bite the bullet and get their back in fear the Steelers do. Unless they fall in love with Kyle Trask or Mac Jones.
