The fuck are they punting for there? I guess Tomlin thinks his defense gives him the best chance via turnover to make something happen over the offense. Ben looks like he's playing in slo-mo, he really looks done. The chronic knee pain makes me think he is hiding something.

Fichtner definitely needs replacing, but they haven't been able to run block worth a damn either, Ramon Foster retiring certainly didn't help things. Seems like the team just can't ever be complete, great offense, lackluster defense, defense gets great, lose their QB, QB comes back, can't run to save their lives. Wheels just finally came off. One of the marriages that should have lasted was Leveon Bell and PIT. He looked lost with the Jets under Gase and looks like a shell in KC and Steelers had 1 strong year of running with Connor in his absence. He added such a dimension to that team that they have not replicated as a dual threat back. Steelers gotta draft a RB Round 1, Jets may have to bite the bullet and get their back in fear the Steelers do. Unless they fall in love with Kyle Trask or Mac Jones. I dunno about Bell. It seemed like after his first season most opponents had kinda figured him out enough to limit him.

He's been kinda crap for a while now so this performance isn't really surprising. Even when Pittsburgh were winning his accuracy was terrible, I made a post weeks ago about how he really wasn't playing very well.

Is Tomlin also a problem? Beyond just Fichtner?
Feel like making chicken salad out of chicken shit last season earned him a grace period on his expiration date. Then going 11-0 probably extended it again.
But Steelers have underperformed with Ben and their various tools over the years just like the Pens with Sid & Gino. And just like the Pens benefited from a shock to the system with finally booting Bylsma, maybe it's time for a shakeup with a Tomlin boot?

How does a giant like Big Ben lead the league in batted passes from LOS in INT? Something is up with his knees for him to not get enough umpth to get over those.
He has got the comeback player of the year but I think Big Ben is done. He cameback from last year's significant arm injury but this year he looks uninspired and slow.

I can't see Big Ben retiring after this, this is an awful way to go out. The type of game that gets an OC fired. It’s not the OC fault at all. They are playing like shit on the field.

I guess I should be happy we’re getting the Browns next week instead of the Ravens. The Browns are easy work for Mahomes.

The lack of a running game and the inept play over the past month has to mean someone falls. This is just an abysmal effort. They got rid of Todd Haley out for less.

A catastrophic collapse from 11-0 to this.
Coaching staff heads have to roll after this.
If the standard is the standard, this is an unacceptable standard.

Height has never had anything to do with batted passes. That's always been lazy analysis and has been disproven by plenty of stats/articles.

I just don't get how Big Ben with his size is getting so many this year, is it really all on the OLine?

I hope this is how Ben goes out, kind of like Marino did. Marino didn't deserve it but Ben? Dude's already got his trophies and years of douching it up with his frisky cookie jar hands. Or maybe he comes back and regresses even worse and they miss the playoffs altogether? Either or is fine with me, but a blowout loss to the Browns would be a more hilarious way to end his career.

I secretly wanted Tom Brady last year to go out on a Logan Ryan pick six, took cadence knowing his Pats career ended that way.

Offseason priorities for Steelers:
1.Replace Ben. Maybe trade up draft one of the young QBs in the first rd. Maybe trade for Stafford
2. Draft O-Line and D-Line as they are getting a lil old at those positions.
3. Address another DB in FA or Draft.
4. Most importantly say bye to Ben
5. O yea replace Ebron

I just don't get how Big Ben with his size is getting so many this year, is it really all on the OLine? In this case it's probably because everyone knows about Ben getting the ball out of his hands quickly. Defensive lineman know that there's not much point going for the sack, instead more emphasis on getting hands up to deflect passes. Shorter passes are also more likely to be tipped because of the trajectory of the ball.
