I really just wanted a reason to post this:
So fucking hyped for this weekend and nervous , and confident whilst not being confident. I love and hate the playoffs.
The Rams are an interesting matchup for the Packers as the best way to beat us is stuff they can do really well. Take away Adams and pressure up the middle with Donald while also dink and dunking on offense.
Also the Packers have a pretty terrible track record coming off a bye under The Flower. Hopefully that doesn't rear it's ugly head early in this game.
Hoping for some nice cold weather at Lambeau to shock the Rams system a bit , especially Goff with his surgically repaired thumb.

I’m a Chiefs fan so I’m calloused with disappointment. I’ve immediately made the ten point underdog Browns into a juggernaut that we cannot stop and cannot score against. Ok not that last part, there will be points.

I actually don’t hate the matchup for the Browns, I don’t think they will win but there is a scenario where they can hang with the Chiefs and get a couple fortunate bounces.

That’s should be true in every divisional round game ever though. Perhaps to a certain extent but I don't know many that are giving the Browns much of a chance at all in this game. And they are the largest underdogs of the weekend for good reason. Going to the #1 seed , defending champions , against an all time great quarterback while you are still the Browns is a whole lot of narrative to overcome. People even eluding to the Pittsburgh game as good enough for this season because now you're running into a juggernaut and it's over. I'm just saying , had it been the Titans going to KC , I wouldn't have liked their chances. I don't think Pitt could have beat KC , nor do I think Indy could have - I think the Browns with Chubb/Garrett and a good coaching staff have punchers chance - but Baker needs to also not implode and he's the reason why I could never actually put my money where my mouth is with the Browns in this matchup.

Oh look at this monster running game that COULD destroy the Chiefs! Look at this great coaching staff. Hell the Colts even have a defense and the Titans have a QB that rarely implodes.

I don’t see it that way. I don’t think any of those teams are capable of the same things as the Browns are nor do I think they have the elite level talent at edge rusher and the depth across the board. The Colts have a solid defense but I think it’s a tad overrated , and their offense don’t have near the same ceiling IMO as the Browns. To be clear I think the Chiefs win , but I think it could be a 38-28 type game as the Chiefs pull away late.

The Browns are just haunted by their past. They won 11 games this season. Any team that can do that outside the NFC East should be able to contend with anyone.
I still think they get killed this weekend but from here on out it's truly anyone's game (unless you're the Bears).

I think the Rams are much more likely to upset a #1 seed than the Browns. Chiefs haven't been blowing anyone out this season, so I expect Cleveland to continue the trend of teams covering the spread against them, but the Rams will present the Packers a resistance that they simply haven't faced since mid-November. Rodgers has obviously been dealing all season but there have been moments here and there when the GB offence has disappeared, second half vs the Panthers, second half vs the Colts, final three quarters vs the Bucs - and the Rams have the dogs that can completely derail a passing attack.

I don’t consider any winner of TB/NO or BAL/BUF or GB/LAR an upset. Any winner of those games wouldn’t surprise me. Yes that includes the Rams winning. It’s very possible. Only problem is Goff. Can’t trust him. Can’t coach him! -Mike Singletary
If Cleveland upsets Kansas City, it would be a HUGE upset and would shake up the NFL. If Cleveland wins, the winner of Baltimore/Buffalo will go to the Super Bowl and the NFC will win it.
All that aside; I hope Rodgers wins so we’re guaranteed back to back weeks of QB legends squaring off in the NFC. Whether it be Brady or Brees, I want them squaring up against Aaron Rodgers.
And I want Mahomes vs Lamar in the AFC Championship although Mahomes vs Allen would be PW fun.

I am so proud of this team. They aren't perfect but this is undoubtedly the best team we've fielded in a long time, better than last year I think. I really do think this is our year to at least win the NFC but I'm still nervous because we've had so much heartbreak in the playoffs for the last decade. The Rams are a nasty matchup for us but I'm confident in our defense stepping up to the plate this weekend. Gonna roll me up a fattie, pour me some shots of jager and get riggidy riggidy wrecked one way or another. Meanwhile, Gf is counting the days until the football season is over. She had to endure 6 playoff games and a CFP Natty game three consecutive days. At least she will get a respite the week before the SB lol.

Fun Fact: The last time Lil Wayne made a Packers hype song , we won the Super Bowl.
On a serious note though , this game has me all sorts of anxious. Playoff football is the hardest.
Still don't know how to take this game. I think being home for it against LA is going to be a difference , especially for Goff who I imagine has never played in weather and is already injured. That thumb is going to get super stiff.
Still though their defense scares me , I think we are really going to miss Bahk this game against that front. Going to really have to take advantage of the short passing game .... I'd expect with Ramsey on Adams that Tonyan and Lazard are going to see a big increase in targets as I think the best way to attack the Rams in the passing game is going to be their linebackers. So Jones might get his fair share of receptions as well.
I like our matchup on defense more , we've been playing better and Goff is prone to playing like a deer in headlights. I think if we are going to win it's going to be because we shut them down. We can't play this bend but don't break game and allow them to control the ball and win field position.
My predicition: Green Bay 20 Rams 10
And since if the Packers lose , I probably won't be in the mood to come talk football for awhile. My predictions for the other games.
Josh Allen leads a field goal winning drive after an up and down game against a good defense. Bills 26 Ravens 24
Browns hang in there until the end , but Baker throws a costly pick in the end of the third quarter and the Chiefs take advantage and jump out to a two score lead. Chiefs 34 Browns 24
I don't know how to take this last game , I really don't want either team to win. I think the Bucs get revenge though in a close one. Bucs 30 Saints 27

Today is the day boys! My predictions for this weekend:
Green Bay - 23, LA - 15 Baltimore - 30, Buffalo - 28 Kansas City - 35, Cleveland - 27 Tampa Bay - 43, New Orleans - 21
The only guarantee I have is that the Saints are gonna fold against Brady & the Bucs. I'd much rather Brees win but I don't see it happening. I'm hoping all of these predictions are wrong except GB. 3/4 (or whatever it was) last week, here's to hoping I'm 1/4 this week.
GO PACK GO!!!

Kupp is officially out , which puts Jaire on Woods instead of King and that’s pretty huge for us.
Let’s go one hour?

Aaron Donald not being at 100% is pretty big too for that defense. Jared Goff is also not 100%. I’m starting to regret picking the Rams to cover the spread but whatever. I need those TDS to happen more. It’s time for the Lizard King to get into the end zone. Can’t be all Davante.

I’m not convinced with Buffalo. They shouldn’t have won last week. I stand by that.
I don’t trust Lamar Jackson either.
What a weird game to watch because I don’t trust either QB. I think that’s what makes that game so intriguing for me to watch.
Tomorrow’s games are the ones I’m most excited about as I get to see Mahomes play which is always a blast and Brady/Brees squaring off for what could be the final time too. The Saints have COVID back on their team which is pretty fucked up timing too. They always catch a bad break come this time. I’m starting to lose confidence in New Orleans completing the Hat Trick too.

Both of these units are flexing their muscles already. The Packers fly down the field with Rodgers looking supreme, and the Rams get a big stop in the red zone against one of the best red zone offenses of all time.
Rodgers should probably have hit that pass on 2nd down. That's a win for the Rams.
