I don't like not instantly knowing the current results. All 3 are pretty even but rt edges it out slightly. So it's nearly been 20 years. I graduated this year. Fuck times flies... I just didn’t want people to vote based on results or change based on results. I know the results.... 29 bucks I’ll PM them to ya. I just didn’t want people to vote based on results or change based on results. I know the results.... 29 bucks I’ll PM them to ya. Yeah I'm guilty of this, altering my vote after viewing results. You two would make great United States senators.

House of Sand and Fog is great, would have grabbed a 9/10 in the drama section. Phone Booth is good fun too, like jTjohncenaGOAT I enjoy one-setting films. Buried starring Ryan Reynolds is another noteworthy example. And of course 🤯's favourite Carnage. Buried is the best of the bunch. I highly recommend it. Buried is surprisingly good , I don’t think it’s rewatchavle or anything but I wasn’t mad the first time I seen it.

OK then. Drama - One for Iron Maiden. I really enjoyed Mystic River, it's a great crime drama. I liked Lost in Translation, but haven't seen The Cooler. Comedy/Horror - again, haven't seen Mike's choice so it's between Bruce Almighty and Old School. While I liked Old School, it isn't as good as some other Ferrell movies, similarly Bruce Almighty isn't in the league of Ace Ventura or Dumb and Dumber but I still preferred it to Old School. One for RT. Blockbuster - You draft Black Pearl, you get the vote. That's the rule. The other two are great though, ROTK is arguably the best LOTR movie, and X2 is definitely the best X-Men movie but Black Pearl is the perfect blockbuster movie. Hell, it's the perfect movie. One for Maiden. Childrens/Foreign Language - School of Rock is easily Jack Black's finest movie. I can take or leave him most times, his gurning face irritates me to no end sometimes, but School of Rock is perfect. One for RT Wild Card - again, sorry Mike haven't seen your pick, I think there's eternal differences in movie taste between us. I'm going with How to lose a guy in 10 Days. I'm a sucker for a good romantic comedy and McConaughey and Hudson are great together with good romantic chemistry. I do like Bad Santa though, it's tons of fun. Sequel/Holiday - under any other circumstances I'd choose Elf. I love that movie and it's a Christmas staple for me. Bad Boys is fine, but I have my reasons for hating that franchise which have nothing to do with the movies themselves. But there's no choice for me here, it has to be Love Actually. It's one of my favourite movies and I have seen it so many times, but it never fails to make me happy. It's my go-to whether it's Christmas or not. One for Mike. Action/Thriller - Easily Underworld. I hate Tarantino movies and would never voluntarily watch one, let alone choose one in a draft. Old Boy, I'm sorry again Mike, I haven't seen it. Underworld is a great movie though, Beckinsale I know is a dream for a lot of guys. Another for Iron Maiden. So by my count that makes it 1 for mikec, 2 for RT and 4 for iron maiden. Once again we're in sync with our choices, there isn't much I would have done differently.

Rogue, definitely check out Matchstick Men. Even if you don't love it, I bet you'll enjoy it and not regret the time spent.

maiden and RT traded some heavy hitters but as an all-round list mikec just took it. In the end, Oldboy, Friedmans and Matchstick Men proved the difference. I actually think it was pretty smart to go that route since RT and maiden went for more general comedies.
I was surprised by the lack of Matrix sequels. I get it and they do pale in comparison with the first movie, but I still feel they have something going for them and they were huge upon release. 2 in particular has some amazing action sequences, I would have thought for sure somebody would have taken a stab.

Drama- RT, because Bill Murray Comedy- RT Blockbuster- mikec, X2 is probably the strongest of the series. Children's- iron maiden,Wild Card- IM Sequel- RT Action- RT I didn't feel real strongly about most of the picks but RT hit some high spots so he gets my vote.

Matrix: Reloaded is a great movie with some phenomenal action sequences. The third one...not so much. I really need to go back and watch it. I remember like Pirates II, it enticed me enough to go see the third movie, but once the third movie failed to live up to expectations, it retroactively spoiled the second movie.
I do remember the chase sequence being one of the best put together on screen. I bet Keanu consulted on it considering his experince on a movie you should really watch.
I think it's called the bus that couldn't slow down.

🤯's (leftover) picks for... 2003 Drama : Big Fish Comedy/Horror : Bringing Down the House Blockbuster : The Last Samurai Children's/Foreign Language : Holes Wild Card : Whale Rider Sequel/Holiday : American Wedding Action/Thriller : The Hunted Big Fish is just as much a pick for Wife, if not more so, than it is for me. Certainly my most tolerable Tim Burton movie. Other leftover considerations for this category that I wish I remembered better included 21 Grams and The Life of David Gale. I recall loving the former as I was in the midst of a big Sean Penn AND Benecio Del Toro phase, and the latter was really thought provoking on the death penalty and convicting innocent people of crimes they didn't commit. Love, love, love BDtH. Steve Martin & Queen Latifah had amazing chemistry. Similarly love, love, love The Last Samurai. Surprised it didn't go at all. Felt like it had elements of Braveheart and Gladiator, but add a little American Civil War era feudal Japan flavor packet. Being a chronic low voter for Finding Nemo, and loving the source material book as one of the few books I've actually read, I would've been ecstatic to wind up with Holes. Very faithful translation of the book from what I recall. Whale Rider is either from my Top 100 or would've/should've been if I'd done my list right the first go. Highly recommend. It's the story about a father and daughter finding their place in their little Maori tribe in the modern era. Whales are involved. One gets ridden. Powerful performance from the little girl lead. After American Pie 2 and the endless stream of straight-to-DVD follow-ups, I recall being pleasantly surprised by how good and enjoyable American Wedding was. It felt like it worked as a final chapter, not knowing Reunion would eventually follow. The other ideas for this slot included The Animatrix (better than either of the actual Matrix sequels), 2 Fast 2 Furious (mostly just for the title), Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. Last but certainly not least is one of the best, most overlooked action/thrillers I've ever seen. Tommy Lee Jones and Benecio Del Toro are ex-Special Forces knife-fighting specialists caught in a reluctant game of cat and mouse with a teacher/student dynamic. The climactic knife fight is wince after wince after wince until the finish.

Gonna swap the disqualified Whale Rider out for 21 Grams as replacement Wild card. Can never go wrong with MORE Benecio Del Toro.
