All 32 teams have made it this far, and in just a few hours, they will be drawn into groups, in one of the biggest events of the sports year. The World Cup Draw.
As always, the host country (Russia) goes to Group A. Who will face them in the opening match?
And also, which unfortunate souls, will be drawn into the infamous "Group of Death?"
So much intrigue for an event that's nothing but drawing balls from a bowl.

So I guess Group F is Group Fucked right? Germany, Mexico, Sweeden battling it out for 2 spots.
I'm still upset that the United States isn't in this shit. Totally ruins the excitement I could be going through right now.
Group D is pretty tough, too. So many weak groups, though.

What struck me most about the draw is that other then the one with Portugal and Spain, there's no real "Group of death"
Thrilled with the Australian draw, definitely a real chance to get out of the group stages.

I think we got lucky in a certain sense, not in that we didn't draw good teams (our group has the highest average world ranking) but that their style of play probably matches up with our better than others that we've avoided. I feel a lot more confident about our chances of being able to defend Eriksen (as good as he is) in the middle of the pitch where we are quite strong with Jedinak/Milligan/Irvine, rather than say Egypt or Senegal with Salah and Mane using their pace to stretch our defence.
