Breaking news before the opening with the report that Brian Pillman has officially been suspended indefinitely due to the attack on Sasha Banks three weeks ago that left her with an injured knee. Alex Shelley was able to pull Sasha out of the way at the last second to save her career but the intent of Brian Pillman will not go unpunished, male violence against women in BOTB is strictly forbidden, as a result Pillman has been removed from the Best Of The Best television for the indefinite future.

The video closes out with footage of Bret being carried out on the shoulders of EMT's while Shinsuke Nakamura hoists the BOTB Undisputed World Title, The King Of Strong Style is now The King of Best Of The Best...
Still photographs shown of the Hybrid Wrestling Rules Match between Kimo and "The Human Suplex Machine" Taz that opened up the night in the Houston Astrodome at Best Of The Best I: The Beginning(now available on home video, $34.95 plus shipping & handling). Kimo swarmed Taz at the opening bell and floored him with a front push kick followed by a double leg takedown that put Taz on his back early. Kimo bloodied Taz's nose with ferocious ground and pound strikes. Taz was able to sweep Kimo over but Kimo scrambled back to his feet, only to be hooked with a T-Bone Tazplex and dumped on his head. Taz battered Kimo with crossface strikes before applying the Kata-Hajime(Tazmission). Kimo refused to tap out and was choked unconscious, forcing the ref to stop the match and award Taz the victory via technical knockout(TKO).
Highlights of Minoru Suzuki vs Chris Benoit from the Houston Astrodome at Best Of The Best I: The Beginning, an instant classic pro wrestling bout with scientific mat wrestling and stiff barbaric intensity. Benoit opened up and dominated Suzuki early on but Suzuki concentrated on The Crippler's left arm to set up a brutal cross armbreaker submission for the win. The match was a #1 Contenders Match for a shot at the BOTB Undisputed World Title at Best Of The Best 2: The Revenge. Now, the match has been set, Minoru Suzuki vs Shinsuke Nakamura for the BOTB World Title!

During the highlights it is revealed that a new judgement has been set forth by the Eternal Championship Council, whosoever claims the X-Division Championship will earn the right to 1 challenge for the Undisputed World Title to be granted at any point during their X-Division Title reign.
Highlights of the insane exploding barbed wire death match between The Dudley Boys and the team of Shinzaki & Hayabusa, a match where all humanity was thrown out the window. All four men suffered burns and were treated with nearly 100 combined stitches after a match that went too far. Both D-Von Dudley and Hayabusa plummeted off of the top of a 20 foot ladder down through a stack of 4 tables(two sets of double stacked tables side by side) covered in thumb tacks. Still photos shown taken from the No-Disqualification Match for the vacant Undisputed World Tag Team Championship titles between Legion Of Doom vs The Eliminators, a fast, furious, and violent confrontation that seen Perry Saturn steal the show with a flying elbow drop off of the top rope down onto Hawk on the Spanish commentary table, perhaps one of the defining moments of the entire first Best Of The Best event. Saturn later managed to kick out of the LOD's "Doomsday Device" but The Eliminators were eventually overtaken and defeated after Kronus was hit with a Doomsday Device and pinned, crowning the Legion Of Doom as the Undisputed Champions. Respect was shown by The Eliminators after the match with a handshake, with LOD raising Saturn and Kronus' arms to give their endorsement as one of their toughest challenges they've ever faced.
Still photos shown of Sasha Banks forcing Undisputed Womens World Champion Alexa Bliss to tap out in their mixed tag match at Best Of The Best I: The Beginning as the breaking news report scrolls across the screen that Banks aggravated her previously injured knee in the match and that she will be out of action indefinitely in order to get surgery. Sasha's submission over Bliss in the tag team match sets her as the clear cut #1 Contender to Bliss' Undisputed Title.
Live interview with Bret "The Hitman" Hart via satellite. Bret talks about the concussion he suffered at the hands of Nakamura just 2 weeks prior to their match for the Undisputed Title at BOTB 1: The Beginning, saying that he has no excuses but there was no doubt that he was not at the top of his game mentally or physically when he lost to Nakamura. Bret says that maybe it was a mistake to go on and defy doctors orders to wrestle the match, but it's a mistake that he'll make every time because he would never back down from a fight, it's not about how hard you can hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and keep getting back up, it's the struggles that define the man, make no mistake about it Bret will never stop getting back up. Bret demands a rematch against Nakamura for the Undisputed Championship, he deserves it because he's the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be and Nakamura KNOWS it!
