Drew McIntyre def. Adam ‘Hangman’ Page
In an exciting opening bout, Drew McIntyre proved to be just too much for Page, defeating him with the Claymore after 14 minutes. The real story though? As McIntyre was celebrating in the ring ‘Machine Gun’ Karl Anderson jumped him from behind and Page joined him. It looks like the good brother is back in the Bullet Club.
AJ Lee def. Bull Nakano
In what has to be considered a major upset, AJ Lee managed to outlast the behemoth Bull Nakano. Despite Nakano controlling the majority of the match-up, Lee wouldn’t give up and got the win with a school-girl roll-up.
Kota Ibushi def. Aleister Black
In a match that had to be seen to be believed, Kota Ibushi defeated Aleister Black after nailing a perfect Phoenix Splash. Both men gave everything they had in an intense back and forth, hard-hitting contest and Black looked strong in defeat, with the two sharing a hand-shake and standing ovation from the crowd afterwards.
‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey def. Bayley
We all know Bayley as the ultimate underdog but this seemed one challenge too far. In her professional wrestling debut, Rousey took a few moments to settle in, with Bayley getting a quick flurry of offence, but it wasn’t too long before she gathered herself and locked in an armbar, giving Bayley no choice but to tap out.
Manami Toyota def. Gail Kim
Toyota showed why she is widely considered to be the greatest female professional wrestler of all time. Gail Kim was a shining light in North American women’s wrestling during its darkest period, yet on this night, Toyota was just too much for her. Despite lasting for a long time, Kim succumbed to the Japanese Ocean Bomb like so many before her.
World Tag Team Championship
The Revival def. The Young Bucks via DQ.
This has been a dream match for a few years now. The two greatest tag teams in the world finally come face to face…and it was spectacular…until it was ruined. After 20 gruelling minutes of back and forth action, The Revival were in the ascendancy and out came Anderson and Page again. The crowd were livid as The Bullet Club beat down The Revival, knowing just how close they were to taking their tag team championships.
Briefcase vs. Briefcase
The Miz def. Tetsuya Naito
In the biggest upset of the night, The Miz managed to defeat Naito. In the lead up to the match Naito didn’t seem to take The Miz seriously and made it clear that he felt Miz was below him. Miz talked a big game, making it clear that while he isn’t an ‘internet darling’ and will ‘never have a five-star match’ – nobody cares more about wrestling than him. It turned out Naito made a big mistake in underestimating Miz, and while Miz did use a low-blow to turn things in his favour, he defeated Naito after a Skull-Crushing Finale to the shock of the live crowd.

Asuka def. Charlotte Flair
No one’s ready for Asuka – even Charlotte Flair. Asuka’s undefeated streak continued in an all out war that proved to be Asuka’s greatest challenge yet. Both women gave everything they possible could, but Asuka just wouldn’t give up and eventually knocked Charlotte out for three with a huge kick in the face.
World Championship
CM Punk def. Hiroshi Tanahashi
Who is the best in the world? On this night, CM Punk staked his claim. In a bone fide classic bout. Despite being his first pro match since 2014 it looked like he was better than ever and was more than able to keep up with the World Champion. After a gruelling back-and-forth contest, Punk hit a second GTS and collapsed onto Tanahashi to claim his sixth World Title.
WAR GAMES
The Bullet Club vs. Team NXT
The Young Bucks, Hangman Page and Karl Anderson vs. The Revival, Drew McIntyre and Aleister Black
After nearly ruining When Worlds Collide, The Revival and Drew McIntyre were out for the Bullet Club’s heads. There was only one problem – the numbers game. Working together only got them so far and when The Bullet Club challenged the trio to a War Games match they needed back up. Especially after The Young Bucks made it clear that if The Revival want another shot at their World Titles they were going to have to earn it. Enter Aleister Black. The enigmatic superstar had a bad taste left in his mouth by The Bullet Club’s attitude and was more than happy to help shut them up.

Asuka ( c ) vs. ‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey
Is Rousey ready for Asuka? Two of the most dominant athletes in female combat sports history will meet in a squared circle for the first-time with the biggest prize at stake. With Asuka’s undefeated streak on the line she has to go into this match knowing that one mistake can lead to being trapped in Rousey’s unbreakable armbar. Rousey meanwhile knows that this is her biggest challenge to date and her chance to prove herself in this new arena.

CM Punk ( c ) vs. The Miz
After defeating Naito at When Worlds Collide, The Miz became the number one contender to the World Championship. CM Punk has been vocal in his disappointment at this even tweeting that he didn’t come out of retirement to face The Miz. The Miz for his part continued to make it clear that he doesn’t care what people’s expectations are – he knows he is the best and he knows he wants it more than anyone else and will prove himself all over again.
Kota Ibushi vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi
Perhaps there are no two men who have more clearly exemplified what is great about the Japanese strong style than Ibushi and Tanahashi. Yet for their many similarities they represent two very different career paths. Tanahashi is a very clear company man – having been a loyal ace for New Japan, taking the company to new heights. Ibushi meanwhile has wrestled around the world; a maverick unwilling to be tied down for too long. Ibushi has claimed that Tanahshi’s time at the top is over, and that he is ready to take his place at the very top.

Bruiser Brody vs. Tetsuya Naito
After his shocking loss to The Miz at When Worlds Collide Naito became a man possessed. Each week he turn up at TV and house shows and go wild, attacking officials, wrecking equipment and demanding a challenge to prove himself. Eventually he was given a challenge from a man just as wild as he is – Bruiser Brody. This promises to be a wild, out of control match that no one can predict.
Manami Toyota vs. Charlotte Flair
In a huge number one contender’s match Toyota wants to continue to prove herself against a new generation of top female athletes while Charlotte is looking to bounce back after defeat against Asuka.
AJ Lee vs. Gail Kim
In a dream match for many fans Lee and Kim will do battle in an attempt to continue to rise up the ranks.
Bayley vs. Bull Nakano
After a huge loss at When Worlds Collide Bayley made a heart-felt speech acknowledging her failure but promising to prove herself and rise up the ranks again. Bull Nakano had other ideas and has proceeded to sneak attack Bayley week after week, taking out her own frustrations. Bayley is never one to be bullied and promises that she will prove herself against Nakano.
