Crossfits deliberately change their pricing depending on the location to be a more expensive gym. They do this in part so that only serious athletes represent their gyms. If you can't afford the money to pay up you must not be serious enough to wear their brand. Tough Mudder will let out of shape people walk 90% of the course and skip obstacles and still brag they finished a Tough Mudder. Crossfit doesn't want that. It's like saying "no fat chicks" in a more polite but institutional way.
In turn, Crossfit isn't accessible to lower economic brackets. In fact, you won't find Crossfits in the inner city. If you look at the top male and female athletes in Crossfit you would see that they are way overwhelmingly white. This is extremely rare in sport and amongst athletes. If they had inner-city outreach and were available to lower income people I would be willing to bet their demographically different.

I don't see a lot of people from the lower socioeconomic classes drowning themselves in their liberal tears in gentrified coffee shops, does that mean smashed avo on toast and deconstructed ham sandwiches are systemically racist also?

Here's a question (and maybe it's what NATH45 was getting at)... Is racism and classicism inherently linked? How often is one confused for the other, whether through ignorance (or lack of critical thought) or intentionally for political purposes?

Unless you must also be from the right families as well as have money then it doesn't sound racist. It sounds like a status item to have and if everyone could get a status item it will kill some of what makes it a status item.

This could be argued too in 🤯, 's question of classism and racism being directly or indirectly linked. The right families could be referring to inherited wealth and privilege. Strictly because a family is born and raised in the wrong neighborhood by class and possibly under planned community by race could be part of whether or not someone has access to CrossFit same as they would have access to many other things. This is sometimes the premise of why there are inner-city outreach programs and indoctrination of programs in urban schools.

How often is one confused for the other, whether through ignorance (or lack of critical thought) or intentionally for political purposes? I believe so, and I believe it is intentionally associated for political purposes. I do believe, poverty in most western countries is due to culture and behavior. I'll let Ben Shapiro explain..

Yeah, probably.
But that’s not even the best reason to never, ever, even kinda, consider Crossfit, lol.

This sorta, doesn't but does tie in with everything else that's been happening in the last few weeks.
There's a mountain of activities that require some degree of wealth or income, and some purposely priced to eliminate a certain type of customer. But it doesn't mean those activities are racist.
Years ago, a night-club in my area imposed a dress code. No sneakers, no t-shirts/basketball singlets/sportswear ( had to be a buttoned shirt ) and no hats - and overall, you needed to be presentable. Was it designed to keep the deadbeats out of the club? You bet ya. On top of that, they threw a cover-charge on the door and stopped playing gangsta-rap in favour of pop/house music of the early-2000s
If you were a poor minority wanting to have a rant on the club being systematically racist, could you? You bet ya. The banned attire, was pretty much the uniform of the young indigenous community and the music was obviously adopted by their youth.
But it wasn't racist, it was just asking you to be presentable. Dress like an adult and you can come in. It also kept out a lot of white-trash and ethnic youths.
Did it curb some of the anti-social behaviour and fights? You bet it did. They were trying to create a safer, friendlier environment and it began with removing the bad eggs from its club.
