{Spoiler}All right, so it's time for another edition of pw news the weekly daily, sporadically the random episode of you know newsworthy stuff here on the pw comm proboards wrestling forum brought to you by yours truly the pw historian himself. newsman NASS. we're back. No schedule just a random episode that I feel like feel like doing if you're not familiar with what pw news is all about. It is necessarily a side project where he yaks into the mic and talks about various pw things. In the past we've done I say we like this isn't a one man band. We've done little things where we go through the forum and talk about all the new posts, the major happenings, we've tried to do it on a weekly basis. Over time, it gets old.
And not a lot of people will listen or comments. So it almost comes off. like nobody gives a shit. But then much like fun with flags. There'll be a comment here or there will say Oh, that's too bad. I really liked it. That one that one comment is usually enough to get me back into it, but wasn't really getting that last time around. And it's going through the motions. So I quit for a little bit, do other things on pw and now I'm back for at least you know, one episode anyways, six, six, in a couple years might be 666. So that'll be interesting. But let's get into the happenings on pw might hear some clicks, because for one of the few rare times I won't actually have, you know, bullet point notes to talk about, I'm just gonna click on every forum and tell you what's going on. At least recently in in wrestling. So
the big news for pw or not pw it. WWE is a there's a lot of there's a lot of shakeups going on, if you even care, because, you know, wrestling is certainly the least important thing of anything right now. But the WWE has found its way into the news, there was a mass set of releases recently, not uncommon, especially lately, to contrast to what they were doing before where they were signing anyone with even remote name value. I'm pretty sure they had Fergus Ferguson on their list because he graduated from wrestling school once upon a time, basically, the theory was they wanted to get everyone so particularly at W could not. That's the theory anyways. And there could be weight to that, because now, under the guise of Khan, not a not that geek do even door hybrid of Tony Khan. But another one, probably descendant of gang is con, because we all are pretty much
is trimming the fat. And there's speculation of what that purpose is. And it could be a potential sale.

I don't know if he's wise to the things. But for the past few years, he has said it might be possible. And most people just scoffed at the ideas, particularly from Disney seeing as why would they want

But isn't that what WWE has been doing the past few years, ratings in the toilet, attendance is down interest is at an all time low, yet they're making money hand over fist for some reason.
And I don't know what it is. But maybe it's just the fact that they have consistent content and established fan base dwindling, but still more than, you know other places. And there must be value in that. So there are rumours that they could be setting up for a sale. And the reason for these releases, particularly a bronze strohman of the world is that
they're trimming the fat and maybe they want a lean product. Could they be getting rid of SmackDown could just be
or perhaps raw is going to two hours. There's got to be something going on with all these releases, especially since a particular on the SmackDown side they're definitely lacking in certain certain certain ways, but it's definitely a making things interesting again, and you know, we've heard this since the the
Days of TNA anytime someone gets releases, what is x doing in the impact zone and there's all kinds of talk about AWS on this, they should go to New Japan. If they want to slim it up, they can go to TNA ROI. Ah, and I'm starting to wonder, is the money always gonna be there? Because I know
Tony Khan is a I don't know what he does, but I assume he's a money mark. And, you know, ew, can't take everyone, even if they're potentially getting a second show. But so that's the wwe news. So that's the active discussion in history of wrestling. fanfic, the big thing of course, and you may not even know this because it is something that has plagued pw for the past year since the pandemic and that is another draft. The last draft kind of left a sour taste in everyone's mouth. And this one nice little bit of Listerine, but don't swallow. And it is the I don't know if it's the annual but it's the fanfic draft. What is the fanfic draft, everyone grabs wrestlers draws cards, you vote for the winner. And yeah, and then they're the champion or something. I don't know if it was last year. But the most recent one I remember participating in I had like a gimmick, where I was only drafting eight people. And I don't know if I continue that or if that was a separate draft, because they all kind of blend together. But last one I remember doing was a Trump versus Tom McGee having some sort of a
competition between each other of you know, doing matches. And then I think it was highlighted, or really the only thing I remember was Walter versus Brock in space, because they can breathe in space. And yeah, that happened. But um, the draft is about to go underway. The voting, drafting has already been a thing. And it may be the first time in fanfic history where a single draft was not missed via the 24 hour rule. Now there was only I believe, 12 of us, you could not do the perfect 16 which is actually even better, because then you get three blocks of armbar drop kick and I don't remember what the other one was. I mean, I could easily look but I'm not going to. But yeah, there's going to be too many top three mini tournaments and then we all meet in the end with a triple threat. It's almost like a G one climax classic, something round robin tournament. But I think we're only waiting on the baker man to submit his card in I submitted mine recently and it is a this whole draft has been borderline frustrating for your boy.
I say that because what I've always tried to do with these drops and these little competitions is not do the standard fare of just picking a wrestler having a supercar try to make things interesting and fun. Which in the build up to this

Unfortunately, I've just been hitting a lot of roadblocks, because I couldn't make it fun. So I just drafted guys that are kind of like right now. And then I blatantly plagiarised a franchise, and kind of did a wrestling hybrid, where here's the show, this show will lead to the next show. And next show would lead to the next final show. Unfortunately, I wanted some characters not to appear on the first show, because the first show was centred around a tournament. And couldn't do that. Because you got to include everyone and I don't want to be disqualified. But yeah, we'll do that. Also, I didn't even originally sign up for the draft. I just asked a question. Like, Hey, can we do this weird gimmick off the wall type of thing, even if it was just me. They're like, no fucker. We're doing dead serious wrestling cards. I was like, Okay, and then it wasn't going to be in the draft because they didn't want to have fun with it. But I got put in anyway. So it's like, oh, I guess I'm in it now. And since we can only get 12 out of 16. You're welcome. So yeah, that's the the news for fanfic. There's a few other updates.
Am is doing some non FF CW thing. I didn't think that was even allowed. And RT actually has several pages of some sort of, you know, wrestling, combined company type of thing. So that's kind of cool. And it'll be interesting to see. If the fact that they're actively writing fanfic, if that will have any negative positive or really any effect on their card.

But yeah, if you're interested in seeing what pw thinks of music that's up there. You haven't hit the big the true big names yet. But there's, there's been quite a few, you know,
dudes up there that you would expect to be on the list. So you can talk about that. I don't know. If the the movie draft
annual thing is still ongoing. It hasn't been updated in about a month. And it's still sticky, but that could just be laziness because the animator is still sticking it in. Well, considering the past couple of pages of gifts in there sticky definitely describes definitely what that is. So

you know, if you glance at the pop culture thread, not the thread, but the forum, you could almost think it was a comic book slash music forum because that's pretty much everything that's being discussed. What are you listening to musical acts the countdown and then Foos trying to get the what's your, what's your getting nurdin thing going? Unfortunately, since the last time we've discussed, the comic book club has kind of flopped.
The last time around, they were going to discuss saga. I was too busy continuing with cross to really
read it's and join in the conversation and I think rogue may have forked off to Wales along with Wiseman, say and WP so that one kind of went under the radar. I'm not saying my participation is what killed it. But the fact that I wasn't reading it, and it died and just you know, is it a coincidence? I don't know. I blame pie. So it's his fault.

And that is a video games, although there was a thread I just saw just now. So someone has dementia or a dilemma. I don't know how to read that another day. But you know, I want to wrap this up.
And the video games the video games without tech is definitely the redheaded stepchild of pw it's the last one down it's probably the least active I say that but sometimes it feels like it does get more posts than some other forums like women of wrestling and and just because I overlooked at sports, but doesn't really have that engagement that it's just a few posts here and there. So there's not a lot of conversation to be had. And I think a lot of that is I'm gaming less and less as the years go by. I have a ps4 avva switch

Can. Not. Wait. To shit tomorrow. There's a guy at work that is CONSTANTLY shitting around 7 am when I wanna clean the restrooms. I always just roll my eyes thinking man dude AGAIN? Do you save all your pooping for work? Just between you and me I borderline like pooping depending on the "type", so it's not something that's awful that I'll only do on the clock (like nursing a hangover). Is he so poor that he doesn't have running water so he can't poop?
Now that I'm thinking about it though, maybe he has his own PW News to listen to on the pot?

Can. Not. Wait. To shit tomorrow. There's a guy at work that is CONSTANTLY shitting around 7 am when I wanna clean the restrooms. I always just roll my eyes thinking man dude AGAIN? Do you save all your pooping for work? Just between you and me I borderline like pooping depending on the "type", so it's not something that's awful that I'll only do on the clock (like nursing a hangover). Is he so poor that he doesn't have running water so he can't poop? Now that I'm thinking about it though, maybe he has his own PW News to listen to on the pot? Yes I just created history. I'll poop whenever I can. It's just the combination of coffee and work stress often proves to be the most effective laxative. I also would be lying if I said I didn't love the idea of being paid to poop. So every turd released on the clock is profitable shit IMO.
