Yeah when I noticed the ref was limping when walking with the wrestlers down the ring, I felt bad and had some empathy so I didn't treat her too harsh. I thought she was an old time ref from NWA long ago and this was a way to pay back for the show but she was clearly physically limited. Of course older refs regardless can get the job done but I don't know if she was nursing something but yeah it wasn't a good sign seeing her barely move during The Hex's entrance when going down the ring around the time those two did.

Hold on did really no one post about Kong's retirement? That was a magic moment!
Only watched Leyla vs Kamille so far but I thought it was a really strong match and completely sold me on Leyla's potential as a main event/champion level worker. She did a great job fighting from underneath and that avalanche German suplex was an incredible spot. I think it was probably Kamille's most polished performance too, she didn't suffer from the cardio issues that have blighted some of her other big matches and they were going full steam ahead for the last 5 minutes which was fantastic action.
Can't do more than one match with Velvet's commentary though, good god. 🤦
PS. The older lady referee was Claudia Reiff who was a referee and office worker (and occasional wrestler) at Dory Funk's school/promotion where Mickie got her start.

Tag title match was really solid, I thought they did a very good job of working a true tag team match rather than just a match with tags - if that makes sense. AEW would do a hell of a lot worse to bring this feud over to their shows and have Velvet and King challenge for the belts "on their turf".
I enjoyed Deonna vs Melina quite a lot too. Yes, Melina isn't what she used to be athletically, but she certainly bucked up for this one. Deonna was the ideal opponent for her and really controlled the match excellently, allowing Melina to mount a couple of fiery comebacks before shutting her down each time. Melina sold very well, which was always one of her strengths, the time she just collapsed running the ropes was perfect, and even the botched Last Call at least made sense given the circumstances. Purrazzo does the pick apart the body part very well, I never find myself getting bored during her longer matches even though she works a slower pace, and I loved the way she added in the half crab to her usual Fujiwara armbar upgraded into the Venus de Milo sequence as she spent most of the match targeting Melina's leg.
