It's probably way to early to get this up, considering it's a little over two months away, however, the National Wrestling Alliance has announced they'll be doing their first all-women's PPV on August 28th.On top of that, Mickie James will be an executive producer for the show, she however will not be wrestling that night (so she says).
I'll admit, I'm not overly familiar with their roster, outside of Thunder Rosa (thanks to AEW), Serena Deeb, and Melina. Is their anyone else on the NWA roster, worth checking out? Is Serena still the NWA women's champion, or is someone else holding the title now?
Do you think members of AEW's women's division will appear on the show? Maybe have AEW return the favor and Britt Baker defends the AEW women's title at NWA Empowerrr.

I think Kamilla Kaine and Jennacide are probably their best prospects.

I cover the NWA women's stuff in the ROW forum. Kamille is the champion as of this past weekend. It'll be interesting to see who they have come in for the PPV title match - potentially Kylie Rae who recently made her debut. Kamille has really upped her game recently and has had two good matches with Rosa and Serena (albeit two of the best opponents you could hope for) but her weakness is still very noticeably her cardio endurance.
They will have to bring in a lot of wrestlers to flesh out the card - I'm expecting a few of the AEW girls to appear, maybe one "marquee" and a couple of Rosa's students.

Lady Frost has a good look on her, shocked AEW didn't keep her after the Dark tryouts. Crazy that a bodybuilder like Kamille's weakness would be cardio. Maybe it's a pace thing, maybe she is going too uptempo in the ring?

Serena and Rosa are going to make you look good, but you get the impression they'd both be pretty demanding wrestlers to work against in terms of speed, both being trainers they're not going to let you take it easy. The more Kamille works these longer matches I'm sure the better she will get.

I just hope most of the focus is on the present future ( Kamille, TR, Kylie, Jennacide, Lady Frost, Serena, and others) and not the past (Mickie, Melina, Taryn).

Confirmed on tonight's Impact that Deonna will be wrestling at Empowerrr. Will be interesting to see who she faces, her opponent isn't particularly obvious considering she defeated Rosa at Slammiversary, and Serena is now working heel.

So we've got Deonna vs Melina for the Impact title and Kamille vs Leyla for the Burke. But more importantly we have DEBBIE MALENKO on the card! 2021 is wild dex02

I'm actually really looking forward, to the Deonna Purrazzo/Melina Perez match up, it should be a good match I reckon.

I'm actually really looking forward, to the Deonna Purrazzo/Melina Perez match up, it should be a good match I reckon. It's nice in theory, but Melina hasn't wrestled a match longer than about five minutes in the NWA which should limit anyone's expectations. She looks decent enough in the ring these days but her athleticism is a far cry from her peak.

NWA also bringing in some women's tag titles that will be awarded to the winners of a tournament taking place at Empowerrr. Allysin Kay and Marti Belle are making their returns, and Kilynn King & Red Velvet will also be competing.

Kiera's the tenth and final entry in the invitational cup - gonna be an absolutely massive week for her starting with her match against Jade at The First Dance on Friday. Masha Slamovich is also in it which is positive news after we enjoyed her performance on Dark.
Card is basically full now - maybe they add one more match - but looks good in general! A nice mix of veterans, current stars, and completely fresh names that I haven't heard of before.

The opening triple threat was pretty fun if a little clunky at points. Surprised Kylie didn't win.
The tag match with Alisin and Marti vs Renee and Sahara was pretty bad. Sahara looked really unathetic and slow and messed up a few spots, Marti wans' great either. The horrible ref didn't help matters either she didn't look like she knew what she was doing.

I don't understand why King isn't with Red Velvet on AEW TV lately to help her out yet are a duo here.
Awesome that Jimmy Wang Yang's daughter is doing Empower, super young. Love the Goku outfit, lot of women repping DBZ.
Why don't the refs here do anything about anything illegal like outside interference?
Kilynn King did more in this match than she does most of the time in AEW

Kilynn and Red Velvet vs Miranda Gordy and Jimmy Wang Yang's daughter was pretty decent. Velvet and Kilynn were solid as they usually are, and I came away being pretty Impressed with Miranda Gordy who gives me young Beth Phoenix Vibes.

WWECW Tiffany vs Gail Kim is an iconic feud Velvet    Most iconic thing Tiffany did was beat the shit out of multi time WWE champ Drew McIntyre.

Melina vs Deonna was unfortunately not great. I didn't realize Melina had so little left in the tank, but she just isn't moving anywhere near as well as she use to. Deonna's wasn't super memorable herself either pretty run-of-the-mill limb work.
I'm pretty sure this show isn't going to be worth the $25 I paid for it but oh well.

I can't believe Melina lasted as long as she did. Cardio was put to the test, same with Deonna. Hadn't seen either in a long time, both look different than last I remembered.
Very nervous Red Velvet tries her shitty standing backwards moonsault. Hope for her sake she nails it.

Apparently, lots of people online seemed to like Deonna vs Melina, so maybe I'll have to give it a second look but in the moment I didn't think it was very good by modern standards.

The tag finals was pretty fun especially when Marti wasn't in the ring. Disappointed that Velvet and Kilynn did not win.

Man Hirsch is friggin small. She's damn good though outside of that.
Not familiar with NWA but guess the main event ref is an ex ref from NWA of 80's?

Leyla vs Kamilla was really solid especially when Leyla was on offense. Kamille was just a little bland for my tastes. Still a very solid match and performance by those two.

Not sure if all 10 entrants have been announced but would be cool if Santana Garrett is one of em. She's ideal for NWA IMHO.

Santino's daughter is having herself a showcase, a lot of Mickie's friends daughters getting a legit spot to shine here. Kinda surprised WWE haven't signed her, Gordy's daughter or Wang Yang's daughter.

Why is the camera stuck on Lady Frost I know she's attractive but still. Holy shit this has been going on for 5 minutes. Missed some eliminations out of this LMAO. One of the announcers said "IS THAT A CROSSDRESSER?" and the play by play guy said "You were right about the crossface"

The main vent was kind of a mess but also had some really nice segments too. I continue to be impressed by Masha, Jamie Senegal was pretty impressive too, and Tootie someone I'd never heard about before made a nice impression on me too. Chelsea winning was meh but whatever.

A very good PPV, money well spent, and people should honestly consider buying the PPV even after it aired, it's worth it. Only 2 of the matches weren't the best, those being The Invitational Main Event (started out very iffy and that camera being stuck on Lady Frost with her name tag still up for around 2 minutes ruined the flow of the match), but after that was fixed, things started to pick up and it ended well enough.
The other match being The Hex VS Hell on Heels, and that was due to that ref being so messy. Like, she made that match worse than it could have been, getting in people's way constantly.... OOF she should NOT have reffed that show.
All the other matches were well done and in some cases, great to excellent. Standout matches were The World Women's Tag Title finals (a great match), and both Singles Titles matches being excellent for different reasons. Deonna VS Melina for the story it told, especially towards the end. And Kamille VS Leyla for the match as a whole, especially with the way they performed throughout. Match of the night for sure, despite having that previous mentioned ref in that match (she wasn't as bad in this one).
