So I found this Youtube channel, dude is posting random clips from his TV and uploading them. It's strangely addicting. Anyways,
A video about the build to the WM20 triple threat and some dude in the comments said it's good and he ranks it alongside Summerslam 99 (HHH/Austin/Mankind) and whatever PPV it was (Taker/Rock/Angle) I think Vengeance? Like I get that one, it's often cited as one of the best WWE ever did. But the other? And he said it so matter of factly, like it's just accepted that it's some sort of standard bearer. This match almost never gets referenced, let alone for quality. It's mostly brought up to reference the idea Austin didn't want to put HHH over and how WTF the finish was. Outta nowhere before Randy was even lacing up his boots.
Like is it a good match or was this just a loser who holds "live" matches in higher regard. Like I've never heard it mentioned anywhere really for any reason.
WM20 obviously is a good one. At the time I remember people saying Backlash was even better. Don't hear that much anymore.
That one triple threat between Seth and Roman against Brock is probably my most recent favorite.
I'm drawing a blank on other ones that might be good. I know everyone loves Unbreakable in TNA. Basically it became their version of WCW's Halloween Havock. Just a universally loved match on both sides. So either I'm losing my mind or that was all the good ones. I was originally gonna suggest a countdown, but since I can't even name 5 good ones maybe it's not a good idea.
Oh WM19 Trish/Victoria and... was it Jazz? I watched that one a lot since I loved all the "big" matches from 19 at the time so I rewatched the show quite a bit.

I have a hard time remember every one that happened like some of you nutcases , but that Roman , Seth , Brock triple threat sticks out to me as perhaps the best ever. Granted I don't care for WM20 at all so that disqualifies a big contender but yeah - that match was awesome.

By the Brock/Roman/Seth match, do yinz mean the Brock/Roman match at WM31 where Seth cashed in or the Brock/CENA/Seth match at RR15?
Brock is KING of the triple threats.
Vengeance '02 is my favorite, but SummerSlam' 99 does get slept on in my opinion.

But yeah that one from the Rumble.

Lita/Trish/Jazz from 18 although heatless was as close as Lita/Trish getting a mania match as it gets.

I barely remember the Summerslam '99 Triple Threat. Though, to be fair, I don't really remember the oft-heralded Vengeance 2003 Triple Threat either. I'm also the low voter on the Unbreakable Triple Threat. Thought it was basically just a rehash of the Triple Threat from the first ROH show.
Anyway, my Mt. Rushmore of Triple Threats...
1. Benoit/Michaels/HHH- WM 20 2. Benoit/HHH/Michaels- Backlash 2004 3. Ki/Dragon/Daniels- ROH Era of Honor Begins 4. Awesome/Tanaka/Taz- ECW Anarchy Rulz 99
*Not including tag matches since that would open up a whole new can of worms.

I dunno why I gave Roman credit. Probably because of the night after where they had Seth/Roman interact with Brock. But yeah that one from the Rumble. There was a Dean • Brock • Roman triple threat that got some good praise. Think it was a Fastlane match. Watched this in my #BROCKTOBER research. Pretty sure it was shit to meh at best. I had no idea Unbreakable was a copy/paste of an earlier ROH deal, but makes sense and isn't surprising. Was it Stlyes/Daniels/Joe too? Or different guys serving same roles? I've never seen WM22, so can't commend on Kurt/Rey/Orton but have a hard time thinking it's better than Kurt/Rey/Benoit from late '02 SD!. I feel like I tend to be a low vote on WMXX just because of how bad I wanted the Brock/Benoit blowoff and how much HBK had conditioned me via Foley's book to prefer 1v1 main events at WrestleMania. Of the top of my head, in no particular order, triple threats I loved and recommend: Rock vs. Kurt vs. Taker - Vengeance 2002 Brock vs. Cena vs. Seth - Royal Rumble 2015 Brock vs. Show vs. Kurt - Vengeance 2003 Brock vs. Show vs. Taker - SmackDown! 2003 Brock vs. Rock vs. HHH - Global Warning Tour 2002 Kurt vs. Rey vs. Benoit - SmackDown! 2002 Rock vs. Mankind vs. Shamrock - Breakdown(?) 1998, the one in a cage Austin vs. Mankind vs. HHH - SummerSlam 1999 Probably blanking on some other obvious favorites, but those would all likely be in the running for my Top 10.

Yes give the nod to the Breakdown match. I am convinced this match is why Rock got DA STRAP. He was always gonna but the reaction here made it mandatory.

I remember that Tripe Threat Cage Match being insanely good at the time. Considering peak Attitude Era wasn't known for ring work or the matches per se, I'd be curious to see how well the triple threat cage ranks for best match of 1998. I assume KOTR HIAC and maybe the SummerSlam ladder are the only two that have a comfortable case for being ahead of it. Oh, and probably Austin/Dude II. Some of the midcard work involving Pac, D'Lo, and Venis probably suffers from not being as star-studded. But it seems like Foley has a case probably for being 1998's Wrestler of the Year.

I'm sure you can find an old post of mine where I called Foley 'worker of the year' or 'most outstanding wrestler' or something along those lines. Around 2008-2009 I watched all the highly regarded 90s & 00s WWF matches I could find for a pair of Top 100 projects. Can't find my lists atm but I can guarantee you Foley had more matches on it than any other in wrestler in 1998. I do remember the following 1998 matches all cracked my Top 50 (more like Top 30, or even 25)... 1. Undertaker vs. Mankind- KOTR 2. Austin vs. Dude Love- Over The Edge 3. HHH vs. Rock- Summerslam 4. Foley vs. Funk- Raw
