Black likely will explode in AEW. He is a very interesting dude. He just does not work well at all when you script him. Give him more control in AEW will and he will shine.

The only problem is that AEW continues to take jabs at "The Other Channel" yet have no qualms of raiding their talent when available and if they are seriously playing off Black's eye injury at the hands of another released star(Formerly Murphy), that just means they're biting off something WWE made and produced with Black. That would not be a problem if someone like Chris Jericho didn't mock the same said creative whenever he gets a chance to. I can't believe Black is selling the eye, it makes sense for continuity but that happened on a brand that your new company profusely mocks and pokes at. Would love to hear Tony Khan's reasoning on this. His instagram post references "Matthew" (Buddy Murphy) being responsible for his eye, Black having been fighting with other patients. And with Andrade also in AEW, it would suggest the juggernaut is also bound for AEW eventually. There's something of a loose connection between the 3 lads.

Would love to hear Tony Khan's reasoning on this. How are you missing the point so easily? It isn't about the talent and never was. It's about creative. The main complaint everyone has about WWE is that the creative sucks and they waste talent. AEW is taking jabs at them while also signing said talent and going "see? This is what you had. It's ours now." I don't see anything wrong with that. Then it's not bad creative then if your using it at all to catapult a character. Otherwise, if you only watched AEW and nothing else, how would you know anything about this character other then saying "What the hell happened to the guy's eye?". Continuing something from a promotion you bury every shot you get defeats the point, I am surprised Tony Khan even knows anything about this character given he doesn't watch WWE. Then again they brought back Erick Redbeard(Or "ITS ROWAN DAMNIT" according to Mr. Bad Creative) on the Brodie Lee tribute, again if you just watched AEW, you'd know nothing about the relation. But that's a tribute show so I can look the other way.

It's actually Seth Rollins who brainwashed Murphy who is responsible for the lost eye but I will laugh if AEW plays it up and makes Murphy(Whatever his new name is)'s relevance due to what he did in the WWE.

I don't know which name I dig more. Alistair or Malachi. Both sound pretty dope.
