WTF was Jax and Flair supposed to be? Are they tryna work us into a shoot?

It looked like no-one wanted to be there in the first place.

Charlotte was ducking and weaving at the start and it showed how poor of shape Jax was in until they locked up.

Fast forward a few minutes, Jax basically drops Charlotte on the back of her neck and head, fast forward a few minutes, Jax lands a clean right hand on Charlotte.

There's some bullshit on the ropes, and Charlotte ends up shoot slapping Jax. There's a bit more push and shove with Charlotte looking to throw a punch, by pulls it back.

Charlotte still trying to get Jax all gassed up, throws her to the outside and runs around. Jax ie cooked at this point.

I'd suggest Charlotte was meant to lead this match, and Jax wasn't playing ball, thus the repeated headlocks.

Was a work. Vince throw out the show two hours before air and they rebooked on the fly.

Maybe that's the real reason why Asuka's out.  Now that the teeth are back on, she'll probably be all ready to go.

For those that didn’t notice last night, raw didn’t do any of the matches that were advertised all week long.

- Morrison vs. The Miz was supposed to happen but instead Morrison faced Omos. Miz wasn’t on raw at all.

- Charlotte flair was advertised to do a segment with Alexa bliss but instead had a match with Nia jax and bliss wasn’t on raw at all. 

- lashley vs. sheamus was advertised but instead Bobby and MVP faced RK-BRO and sheamus faced McIntyre and Priest in a triple threat match. 

Yesterday was one of the “longest” days in a long time for the WWE Creative team, according to several sources who reached out to PWInsider.com today

PWInsider.com was told by several that Vince McMahon, extremely unhappy with the original plans for Monday Night Raw, "ripped up the script" several times, including the original plans and then the initial rewrite.

McMahon then began requesting new ideas, some of which we are told were good and others no so good, but rejected everything pitched to him before decreeing the new plans for last night's episode.

Until 6 PM EST, there was no official direction or plan for the episode.
One source who went through the process described it as "the loudest and angriest" they'd ever seen McMahon on a show day.

Inconsistent/angry bosses lead to timid employees who no longer push to do their best. Everytime he does this, it will lead to worse morale/performance in the writers

I don’t know why people take these reports as gospel. Meltzer reported yesterday Asuka was off the show because creative had nothing for her, then there’s a picture of her with her arm in a sling. Wrestling journalism has proven itself to be a joke time after time, these ‘journalists’ get by posting stories of things that have been true before, and they sell based on ‘knowing Vince’.

We've got tag team turmoil, a women's championship match between Charlotte and Jax.. because last weeks match was a classic and, if that wasn't enough to hit the 'unlikable second generation wrestler' quota.. Nattie & Tamina defend the belts.

" Vince McMahon to hold an emergency creative meeting today.

Donald Wood from Triple R has reported that a text message was sent out this morning to all creative members for an emergency talent meeting today. One would only assume this is due to the outstanding AEW ALL OUT PPV that aired last night that WWE would have to combat. "

I guess the danger is, AEW made a lot of noise last night. And if WWE don't make a lot of noise back, people will slowly follow the noise and forget about WWE.

WWE needs to do something, as you've got a motivated roster with a motivated fanbase with a fresh look and sound.

It's probably interesting to some, that I've turned on WWE. Well, they've done me an injustice with NXT and they've doubled down in recent weeks with the dweeby stuff. I barely made it through RAW this week, and lasted 30 minutes in Smackdown.

Dunking on Raw even before it starts is a popular past time. Personally I don’t understand it, why they just don’t watch and and instead put themselves through it like some tortured victim, so they can feel on the same page as the slaves that have all been cruelly released by evil Vince.

The ultra vocal criticisms of Raw actually make it worse to watch than Raw itself.

They had 5 matches for Raw announced on socials before Sunday, I wonder if they’ve taken on board the heat they got for having three announced matches not actually take place last week.

That or Vince is going for the mega troll and none of the five matches happen the way they are announced if he’s called an emergency creative meeting after already having five matches announced.

I’m not trying to crap on anyone’s enthusiasm but the dynamic between the two companies and their fans I find to be bizarre. The tribalism in my experience is much worse from AEW fans. It used to be better here than elsewhere on the internet but that’s changing. It’s like a certain section of fans have got a new girlfriend and all they can think about is their ex. It’s weird. You finish watching the greatest PPV of all time (TM) and your first thought is to post in the Raw thread? 😂 I’ll leave it there before people get pissed but yeah, it’s weird.

Punk debuting has validated that section of fans even more. It’s like they feel they manifested that into being, and Punk is still doing the same old schtick playing right into the crowds hands.

Sure RAW will push out a top level product tonight to compete with the wrestlers who quit WWE to work for AEW.

Just kidding, bet a love triangle story starts tonight. That is always a go to. Maybe some rapid title changes for no reason as well.

And reported Vince not even showing up and just sent Bruce Prichard instead to run the show.

It's no longer a 'AEW is different to WWE' thing and caters to a different audience.

They just debuted two of the WWE's biggest stars of the last decade, and potentially the best worker in WWE, that being Adam Cole.. who was the top guy in NXT for the last 3 years.

They're likely to pull a big part of their audience very quickly. And if WWE goes with America's Moist Wanted and The Alexa Bliss bullshit hour tonight, a lot of fans are switching off.

They do seem to have scaled back on the creepy Alexa stuff minus that ‘wink’ during the Alexa/Doudrop match, ever since the crowds came back.

I’m noticing they seem to be running a storyline all through the night recently, rather than everything being it’s own separate segment. Much better this way.

Have you noticed recently, that whenever they go backstage, or a pretape, that the crowd noise sound almost totally canned?

It's like they know the crowd in the arena is dead.

Most of the arena is likely canned. They are running dual audio to amplify the crowd and "fill it out." Why every crowd today sounds exactly the same. They need a way to cut the live crowd if they chant things they do not want allowed on tv though.
