I'm particularly interested in the thoughts of the handful of you guys who still post predominantly here and not in the other forums.

As you would have probably noticed, we've introduced a forum for AEW based on the increased momentum they've recently had, and it has me thinking about the broader layout we have here on PW. I'm wondering whether with women's wrestling no longer being treated as a sideshow - whether we're now actually doing the opposite of the original intention of the WoW forum by keeping it separate.

My reasoning for potentially removing the WoW forum is twofold:
a) we don't have the same community that we once did, and it hasn't really existed since we moved over to proboards
b) all discussion is restricted to a thread for each promotion - these can easily still exist in the other three forums

I'm not going to change anything for the sake of it - if there's probably even one person who says they'd like the forum to stay then it will stay. If anyone is more comfortable posting here than in the other wrestling forums then that's totally fine, I want to fulfil that as a priority. Let me know.

Will talk women's wrestling anywhere on board honestly, keep it in this subforum to have it stand out mostly but I know there are a few of the true WOW diehards here who may not venture up above. Maybe this is probably more so for them?

I think most of the forum is better about women's wrestling nowadays, back then myself included would :lol: for the sake of it. Arguably, it's the best part on shows like NXT now.

I rarely come in this forum because I often forget to check it, and even when I do there are rarely any new posts outside the Knockouts thread, which I don't follow anyway. And I can talk about NXT in the WWE Forum, women included.

I think men's and women's wrestling has equal interest across the board these days and the need for a WOW forum is kind of gone. But as a non-regular, I'm indifferent. If it stays, great, if not, I might remember to talk about women's wrestling more often.

My only concern is that it might result in threads about smaller promotions /indy wrestler happenings getting fewer views/activity. But thinking about it some more it might have the opposite effect as non-wow posters might be exposed to it. So do what you think is best.

It’s tough because it is nicer to talk here with more dedicated fans, but the traffic is low. I feel that comments and opinions I would love to see talked about in more detail here would get lost in the general shuffle in the other forums. But then I’ve always been a big fan of the women’s division in general.

Maybe a Women’s Division thread for each forum to discuss storylines but any big news items have their own threads? Or does that sound like we’re trying to do the opposite of THE WOMENS REVOLUTION?

I'm not a WoW regular, but I'd like to share my two cents. I like this idea. It's essentially the same as what happens in the WoW forum now, except it would be spread over the WWE/AEW/Rest of Wrestling forums. And I think that would bring these topics more attention.

So I was gonna do a pw newz episodes speculating on a shakeup of the forum layout, but I'll say I'm wondering if we need both WOW/Other subforums. I mean obviously there's a need for something outside of WWE/HOW, but a full forum seems overkill. I have an idea for a layout, but clearly I don't have the power to make it happen.

The forum should stay for mainly not WWE and AEW content. Anything about Impact, NWA, Stardom, and etc would get buried in rest of wrestling.

Or would be at the top of that section? Why assume it would be buried? Rest of Wrestling without AEW isn't all that active.

Agreed. I don't feel that NJPW is "buried" in Rest of Wrestling, and that was even when AEW was still in that subforum.
