They did write that, and the phrasing of mutual agreement clearly indicates that the door is clearly open for him to return in the future. Hopefully he takes the time to work on himself.

If he takes the time to keep his head up, work on himself and his marriage, and go back to places like PWG and kill it like he did there, he'll be back in the next few years.
They obviously haven't burned any bridges, and the door is open.
