AEW currently has a very promising women's roster in terms of pure talent but they really aren't giving their wrestlers much time to perform on a consistent basis.
Dark and Elevation the only shows that use most of the roster regularly rarely see a match go past 5 minutes, despite usually having mutiple mens matches go 6-8 minutes.
Rampage is a new show and in it's 3 episodes the women have biven given a totla of around 14 minutes of ring time. With the bulk of that being from the Britt-Velvet Match which despite being a title match was only 10 minutes long and Despite ebing the main event was shorter than the Omega-Christian match.
Dynamite is usually not ver kind to the women . Earlier in the year it looked like things were getting better , and AEW had a a bunch of nice TV matches like Deeb vs Conti, and Riho, and Shida vs Conti, but recently you're luck f a women's match goes past 5 minutes.
I feel like this is doing a real disservice to the greener talents like Vlevet , Klang, and Conti among others who imo need longer matches to continue getting better and not plateau, espcially during these current times when the indy scene is mostly inactive and they aren't doing house shows yet. Instead they get short squash matches where they just run through their spots, without really having to tell a story or work a abck and forth match.
Also as a fan it is really boring and unappealing.

It's just clear at this stage that Tony Khan doesn't really see the women's division as any sort of focus. It's been a couple of years now and it's always a set of shifting goalposts - we'll see more when the Joshi are able to come back, we'll see more when Britt is champion, we'll see more when Elevation starts, we'll see more when the women get more experience and show they can work better matches, we'll see more when Rampage starts, etc.
We've said it so many times but the lack of consistency and face time that anyone other than Britt receives is really hurting the division as a whole - and it's now very evident in the lack of reaction to some matches now that crowds are back. The newz is that they're not going to do Britt vs Rosa until next year - are they going to not book Rosa in a storyline until then?

Women's division needs a booker and a producer. I am all for Joshi talent coming back but Joshi people work amazing when working other Joshi girls, but have mixed results working Americans. I do think when the COVID crisis is over they need to bring in Maki Itoh fulltime. She is like 2.0, her gimmick is mostly in match and she can easily get herself over.

Brandi Rhodes when she returns will be feuding with Jade Cargill and maybe Britt Baker for the title and you'll get at least 15 minutes per on the PPV.

It's frustrating to see the goal posts continually be moved each time AEW fails to give the women time by both management and even the fans on certain other forums. I'd honestly respect Tony more if he just admitted he isn't really a fan of bowmen's wrestling and doesn't care to promote heavily it on his show. But that would get them a lot of bad press. It honestly feels like they have a women's division because they feel obligated to have one.

You can bring in the best talent/bookers around but it still won't help matters if they only get a few minutes each show to perform.

Two type of people are prone to getting a lot of tv time members of the elite 20-30 minutes for them on a weekly bases, or big name signing from the WWE. No woman fits either mold so they don't get much time. Also usually the women are the low point of the shows because a lot of their main ones are subpar. The Bunny is one of the worse in the division and she gets a lot of the the little time women do get on dynamite. And when they do get someone who could be something like Kiera Hogan they job her out three times in a week. (Lost to Shida in 4:25, Statlander in 3:59, and Cargill in 1:05)She lost three matches in under 10 minutes combined and was just in a promotion AEW is partnering with. You got two top tier in Thunder Rosa and Serena Deeb in the ring and you barely see them because they aren't close friends with everyone.
If Charlotte did get upset with the WWE because her family is in AEW they would find time for her. Until then nothing will happen major until Brandi returns.

Honestly, the shitty women’s division is why I don’t pay attention to AEW as a whole. I don’t care what big names they sign or what sort of thirty minute matches the Elite put on… if they can’t catch up and improve on something that looks like it was plucked right out of 2008, they are not getting my views.
