7. Golden State Warriors
Reports that Klay Thompson return from an injury potentially in January, and him may not be the same player like he was but his presence will be huge for the team.
Assuming the Warriors can stay healthy I see them return to the post-season. Steph Curry have a MVP year last season, and no doubt in my mind he will have another great season I do like what the organization building this team they got mix of veterans with experiences and young players on the roster which some of the young players will get some opportunity this season. The most under the radar move is they sign Otto Porter if he can stay healthy he will help out off the bench but he needs to stay healthy. Also don’t forget they bringing back Andre Iguodala despite his age and not the same he will be a good mentor for the young players like Mosses Moody, Jonathan Kuminga, & even Jordan Poole which I expect him to have a breakout season will be huge from off the bench.
The bench, health, Steph Curry, & Klay’s presence will be the key for the team to return to the postseason.

6. Utah Jazz
Utah Jazz were the number one seed in the Western Conferences last season, and obvious the playoffs but they got eliminated in the Western Conference Semi-Finals against the LA Clippers. The question going to ask is how the Utah Jazz take the next step and what I mean by that is not clinch the number seed and get home court advantage throughout the playoffs I am talking about the Jazz go back to the finals for the first time since 1998 because in the West they got competitions the Suns, Lakers, & etc.
I do like what they do this past off-season they sign another rim protector Hassan Whiteside he will be backing up Rudy Gobert, and they also sign Rudy Gay even though he and Jordan Clarkson off the bench they will be a terrible fit defensively wise but with another rim protector I think they will be ok for short stretches. Also, I think this is a underrated move that I do like they acquired Eric Paschall in a trade with the Warriors. Despite his poor 3 point percentage last season he can stretch the floor which compliment both Rudy and Hassan and another options is the Jazz can go small moving Paschall at the five which keep in mind the Jazz struggle against the Clippers when they go small when Rudy Gobert was on the floor. Now, they have options they can go small when needed.
The Jazz will be one of the top teams in the Western Conferences but it’s remain to be seen if they the number one seed, and if they go to the next step.

5. Miami Heat
Two years ago the Miami Heat reach to the NbA Finals in a short season, and in the Bubble but loss in the Finals against the Lakers. Last season they have somewhat a disappointing season yes they reach to the playoffs but got sweep in the first round against the Milwaukee Bucks and fast forward to the off-season Pat Riley go ahead to bring Jimmy Butler some help he sign Kyle Lowry which is a good pickup for them he also resign a sharp shooter who was overpaid but whatever which I am talking about Duncan Robinson.
The Heat did sign PJ Tucker which is a solid pick up for them bring that toughness and can plug him to play at the stretch floor which he have play from the last few years. I think the Heat can be one the best defensive team despite Duncan Robinson and Tyler Herro are liability from that end if Victor Oladipo can stay healthy which is at this point a big if that will be a bonus I think the x-factor is Tyler Herro if he play like he was in the bubble or even as he claim to be on the class of Luka, Ja Morant, & Trae Young that will be huge good luck on that though.
I do think the Heat will be a better team, and jump ahead some other teams from last in the Eastern Conferences ahead of 76ers, Hawks, Celtics, & Knicks.

4. LA Lakers
After disappointing post-season the organization have overhaul majority of the roster to contend for another season, and reinforcement for both Lebron James and Anthony Davis. Acquired Russell Westbrook via trade I don’t like the fit with both Russell Westbrook and Lebron James so mainly Russell Westbrook have to change his game but that is not going to happen they will try to make it, and maybe they will make it work we see what happens.
The Lakers also sign Carmelo Anthony which he fit much better with Lebron James and Anthony Davis. Bringing more old timers they bringing back Dwight Howard, Rajon Rondo, Trevor Ariza, Kent Bazmore, & Wayne Ellington. The two under the radar signing I do like was Malik Monk which was a steal, and pick Kendrick Nunn which was a solid pick up for them it will be interesting who will start at the center position are they going to start Dwight Howard, or DeAndre Jordan which another player they signed. They should start Anthony Davis at the five and start Melo at the four and hope for a Olympic Melo this season including the postseason.
Anyways, this probably the oldest team in the league for this season, and despite my question regarding the fit with both Lebron and Westbrook I think they will be at the very least top 3 teams in the Western Conference and while lot of people think they are the favorite to come out of the West which I agree if they can stay healthy of course.

3. Phoenix Suns
Phoenix Suns not just only shock the world eliminated the Lakers in the first round but they also\ reach the NBA Finals for the first time since 1993.
They take the Milwaukee Bucks to six but didn’t win the NBA title so obvious want to return to the finals, and finish the job so they resign a future hall of famer which they give him a max deal Chris Paul. Basically they are running back with the same team with a couple new additions, or so which they sign JaVale McGee which I think is a good pick up he will backing up Deandre Ayton which they need a backup center anyways and a rim protector which he will provide. They did sign Elfrid Payton unless a injury occur I don’t see him on the rotation unless he more impressed than their primary backup point guard Cameron Payne.
I expect the Suns to be the top 3 teams in the Western Conferences maybe top 5 in the West, or even in the league. But some team will be knocking the door to the defending Western Conference Champions this season. Will they return to the Finals? If so will they finally win the title and Chris Paul finally win his first ring?

2. Milwaukee BucksUT was partying like it was 1999 because from his lifetime he finally witness his team the Milwaukee Bucks win the NBA championship this past year. Now the question is can the Bucks return to the NBA finals? The bigger question is can they win the title second consecutive year in a row? There are capable to get back to the finals to win it all again with the Greek Freak and pretty much they are bringing majority of the team back with some new additions I think the biggest key is the Bucks resign a fan favorite Bobby Portis which is a smart move and got him for cheap too. The three new additions they pick up George Hill which good locker room leader type of player which I guess it’s a ok pick up another pickup is they sign Rodney Hood which is a decent pickup and they sign a player who is known for being dirty but he is going to be a fan favorite if he does get playing time which I am talking about Grayson Allen. I expect the Bucks to be one of the top 3 teams in the Eastern Conferences, and at the very least top five teams in the league for this season question remain can they second peat?

1. Brooklyn Nets
This past postseason they didn’t win the NBA, nor even reach the Eastern Conferences finals because they were eliminated in the Eastern Conferences Semi Finals against the defending champions the Milwaukee Bucks.
Despite Kyle Irving status playing this season is uncertainty but the Nets are still the favorites as long both Kevin Durant and James Harden can stay healthy, and even then they got to get past the defending champions if they can I believe they can beat any team in the finals whoever comes out of the West including the Lakers. I do like their off-season moves such as James Johnson which he bring toughness for the team I also like the\ pick up of Patty Mills which he can provide scoring off the bench like he did his career with the Spurs.
They do added some depth in the front court not onLy they resign Blake Griffin but they also sign both Paul Millsap and LaMarcus Aldridge. Without Kyle Irving expect James Harden to start at the point guard which is a good idea he is a better play maker than Kyle Irving anyways so there is that so question remain can they stay healthy? Will they reach the finals and win the title this year? Will Kyle Irving play at some point this season? As I stated before as long both Durant and Harden can stay healthy they have a strong chance.
