Nice try, AEW. But I am not invested enough in Guevara to stay tuned to Rhodes to the Top's first commercial break to hear Sammy's first comments as champ

So is this a #RhodesToTheTop party now? Because I think it is.
Moxley being hungover makes me happy. I identify with him more with each passing day.

I've read suggestions that this show is going to be AEW's attempt to up their female demo. sort of the way Total Divas and Total Bellas did for the WWE. The problem with this idea is Brandi. I don't know why or how to explain it, but she is somehow the most opposite someone could be from endearing. When she talks I feel my eyes instinctively rolling. The prospect of her talking makes me want to have redneck opinions like Jim Cornette.

When I was watching through the episode I thought the conflict was Cody wearing his heart on his sleeve only to be rejected by the audience. Maybe this is something they'll come back to because in the season preview they did get into Cody getting booed by the crowd but they seemingly portrayed that infamous Ogogo promo as a positive.
It was difficult to get a feel for the backstage workings. There was this one really weird segment where Lee Johnson and Julia Hart were seeking Cody's approval to be in a relationship which was just weird on so many levels.
Otherwise it was the typical reality tv playing it up for the cameras stuff. Ricky Starks is out injured with a broken neck, whatever can he do? Oh Cody knows! He's going to cut a promo. However if Starks bombs...that could be the end of that! You'd have to have absolutely no product knowledge to know that Ricky would do fine and the promo itself was really nothing special. Then later on you have this Red Velvet-Jade Cargill confrontation over a slap Jade gave Velvet seemingly months before this episode was aired and Brandi had to play peace maker. Again, just for the cameras stuff.
Of course there's the usual reality tv show style writing. I mean what reality show doesn't have a monologue about vaginas? It's the new version of a gross out like omg I can't believe they're really talking about vaginas on television! That's so random!
The highlight was Jericho shamelessly plugging his book tied with TK's brilliant acting.

I only watched about 20 minutes due to my AEW recording overrun.
I always thought Jade's tv voice was her normal voice.
Hey coach we are dating we are like the reverse of you and Brandi. Does that mean I can get more tv time and big entrance?
Cody in the past I don't workshop my promo
