The women's match will certainly have implications for who faces Britt next. Seems like an unofficial number one contender's match. I think Jade wins and pins Nyla.

Said it at the time of the Battle Royale, I don't get why Rosa didn't win the no.1 contender. Why set Soho up to lose immediately when you could have played up the fact that Rosa is Baker's Kryptonite and that DMD has never beat her.

Time to make amends here with Rosa pinning Rose so Cargill is protected and you can get that feud with Baker finally beating Thunder Rosa. Anything else is lunacy.

I think they just didn't want to pull the trigger on Rosa/Britt III yet. That match is going to be money, and it'll probably happen at Full Gear or whatever the next PPV is.

The other thing too is Rosa is so far ahead in win/loss ratio it isn't funny. Jade is undefeated so she could pull a Christian and if she wins tonight she'll leap frog Rosa for a title shot. Could have Britt hand her her first loss, then she can do the whole "is there no one else!?" spiel and boom. Rosa time.

I'm slightly more interested in the race to 50 wins between Rosa and Shida. They both sit at 29 right now I think, and they have far more wins than anyone else.

EDIT: my bad I was looking at just this year. Overall Shida is way ahead. She's at like 40 wins right now and Rosa and Conti are in a distant 2nd.

Also kinda dumb if Jade stays undefeated then loses to Britt. The women's booking continues to be a mystery in this company. Britt has the least to gain by being the first person to beat Jade, and Jade is waaayyy too green to win the title.

I really liked them giving Jade the win. Loved how abrupt it was too with her just coming in and annihilating TR with the chair.

I'm actually all for Jade taking the belt off Britt, that would be a great swerve when everyone expects Rosa to be the one to win it off her. She deserves it just for this:

Hopefully Brian Cage moves on from Team Taz now. Also wouldn't mind if a legit challenger for the FTW title shows up. Someone outside of Team Taz needs to win it to give it some legitimacy.

Slap it on Dante Martin or Wheeler Yuta or someone like that. Make it a legit lower midcard title.

AEW title or bust for Rosa. Much like Page needs to beat Omega, Rosa needs to beat Britt.

Give Jade the TBS title and let her dominate until someone rises up out of dark and beats her, like Anna Jay or someone like that.

I would assume a face who is younger to the business so probably red velvet or a member of Tay Jay.

CM Punk vs Daniel Garcia was great as expected. No surprises there. One point of criticism: 2.0 and Daniel Garcia don't really have a character. They randomly attack babyfaces, but their justifications just seem like spur of the moment thoughts with no real meat behind them. Daniel Garcia is young, and he's great in the ring, and he's getting great exposure in AEW. But to go to the next level he needs a real character, and he can use that character as a base to have a real meaty feud with someone, instead of these one-off showcases he always loses. He's fine where he is for now, but that's the next step.

I was drunk while watching the rest of Rampage. Wrestling is a little weirder when you're drunk. The moves almost seem slow motion. That's what I felt when I watched The Acclaimed vs Lucha Bros. About as mediocre as I expected, including a real dumb double Springboard cutter spot from Fenix. It isn't a Lucha Bros match without a move that defies all common sense. Lucha Bros win in what I consider to be a glorified squash.

Everyone talks about how great Ricky Starks is, and I used to be on that hype train, but when I really think about it...is he really great? Or just good? I'm leaning towards good. And the match with Brian Cage was just good. It was fine. But the FTW Title and Team Taz as a whole is just so meaningless. Who the hell is Hook anyway? I know he's been around a while, but he just kinda showed up outta nowhere and hung around team Taz. He never wrestles, but he's not a pure manager either. He's some kind of leech.
