Danielson vs Suzuki is awesome. Moxley has been trying to have these strong style epics for months. Danielson just waltzes in, not really having a tough guy persona, and just produces the best strong style match outside of Japan in years. Danielson's versatility is second to none. Unfortunately the finish kinda sucked, mainly because the way Suzuki sets up his Gotch Piledriver is dumb as hell. Brought the match done for me.
Punk vs Sydal was another really solid affair. Not amazing but entertaining from start to finish. Nice finish too.

Not amazing but entertaining from start to finish. Nice finish too. This is it. 100%. Moxley had one good stiff match against Ishii and thinks he can be the NJPW tourism guy, but it hasn't translated to American soil. It looks sloppy and thrown together. I've still enjoyed it somewhat, but last night proved he's just not the guy that is on that level. Stick to GCW deathmatches and randomly showing up at indy shows. People love that. Leave the real shit to Danielson.

Danielson vs Suzuki alone makes up for the lackluster additions of Rampage lately.

Did anyone watch Rampage?
PAC vs Andrade was awesome again. And the aftermath makes me excited.
Cody just hanging out with 3 former NXT champs haha

Black vs PAC? Oh fuck yeah.
Every fucking time PAC wrestles I forget he is one of the best highflyers in the business until he starts to fly. My mind wants to see him as someone like American Dragon who picks people apart with strikes and submissions and forgets he can do it all from the top too. Not sure anyone is a better all around guy than PAC.

PAC vs Andrade was exceptional for what it was, a lucha-style spotfest, but that style is not my cup of tea so I don't rate the match particularly highly. Liked the finish and the aftermath. Especially like Malakai's ability to hack the venue so that the lights turn out the instant the bell rings.
Anna Jay vs Britt Baker was well-structured and gave Jay some credibility in hanging with the champ. Jay is still green though and was noticeably struggling in the early stages, although she got into a nice groove in the secnd half. Finish felt a bit abrupt, seems to be a common feature of Britt Baker matches.
Match of the night for me was Hobbs vs Cassidy. Loved the psychology of the powerful guy completely dominating and blocking all of Cassidy's attempts at his spinning DDTs. I also kinda liked Hobbs wasting time pissing about with the referee, something an inexperienced hothead would do, and Cassidy took full advantage.
However I think AEW has a problem with how they book monster heels: a consistent pattern of dominating matches and losing due to idiocy. At some point these guys have to pick up wins against strong opponents or they lose all credibility. Miro is the exception, even though he lost to Sammy, his track record is undeniable and I could buy him beating anyone on the roster.

Emperor Wardlow is also an exception except they never use him for some reason. I assume his time will come after he leaves MJF.

Rumors are Bray debuts tonight in a segment that was not shown to the live crowd. Khan and Jericho just followed him on twitter. If it is not tonight, likely will see him Weds.
Edit: Looks like he shot a promo yesterday as well.

Could be on to something. Cody just quoted Khan’s tweet promoting the show saying: “Damn, loaded show.” with the two suspicious eyes emoji after it. Could have something up their sleeve with a Windham tease.

Pretty good show tonight.
I missed Danielson/Kingston so I’m going to watch it later. Sounds like it was good though.
Saw Kingston mouth off at CM Punk. That was quick and awesome. Let Kingston win, I say. Fuck it. He deserves a huge win.
Sydal/Martin was fine. Lots of jumping around and shit. Good times.
Highlight was easily Mark Henry interviewing Abadon and Britt. Fucking hilarious. Match was pretty good too. Abadon looked awesome.

RT Just had a look and Kingston has lost every AEW PPV match he’s appeared in so I’d be up for him winning against Punk by some sort of nefarious tactic before Punk goes over in a rubber match and ultimately wins the feud. Having a PPV win against Punk and giving him his first loss in AEW would be a great rub and way to elevate Eddie. Can’t wait for the promos!

Kingston/Danielson was one of the matches of the year. Legit so good. Eddie was super over too. The middle finger before he passed out, amazing! Loved it.

Kingston messed up that nerd. This is why Kingston is considered great. Rarely has he gotten to show it, but get him with the right guy for the right stakes and he will give you amazing matches.
Him and Punk should tear things down as well.

Kingston turning heel by cheating and handing Punk his first loss would be an awesome twist. Especially since it appears Mox is leaning that direction too. Be extra sweet if they took another run at the tag titles only as the heels this time. Imagine heel Mox/Kingston vs face Lucha Bros.
BOOK IT, TONY

Fantastic edition of Rampage. Three great matches, all special in their own way. Best match I've seen from Eddie Kingston by a country mile. Baker vs Abadon was really fun, several moments where I thought "I've never seen that before." Great stuff. AEW proving that there's room for novelty acts.

Heel Kingston & Mox would be so much fun to watch. You can have MOX cheat to beat DB. Mox can be Adam Page's 1st contender. Then have both of them win the tag belts later on.

AEW is following TNA path of multiple WWE jokes. There have been at least three already.

Kingston is awesome, loving his feud with Punk even if it will just lead to another loss for him.

Watched the Punk/Kingston segment twice already. That was pure greatness. That’s how you promote a PPV match. Such a quality segment. I think the seeds are being planted for a Punk heel turn, and it’s going to be amazing.

Amazing segment between CM Punk and Eddie Kingston. Two gods on the microphone laying into each other. One of those pro-wrestling angles that might have some real animosity and hatred behind it. Don't know for sure, of course, they could just be incredible actors. But yeah, that was brutal.
On reflection, it's clear to me that Punk is the heel in the feud. His extreme reaction to Kingston interrupting him is petty, a fragile ego similar to the one Taz has. Then he refuses to acknowledge Kingston's success and calls him a bum. Yeah, Punk's the villain. Sure, Kingston may have been rude to interrupt, but it's not crime of the century as Punk would have you believe. Eddie is the same authentic, hot-headed babyface we've always seen.

Punk did come across as the heel but they may be because Kingston seems like a normal person just trying his best. Kingston was just frustrated with his own fails then to be talked down to like a failure does pushes Punk toward the heel area.

I feel like I'm the only one who wasn't overly impressed by Punk/Kingston and I'm a fan of both. Who tf was the heel here? Because both of them came off like one to me.
