A photo of Tony Khan in a GQ feature on him may have leaked the card for Full Gear. Note the writing on the notebook he's holding: In case you can't read it:
Kenny vs Hangman
Bryan vs Mox
Inner Circle vs American Top Team
MJF vs Darby
Punk vs Wardlow
Britt vs ?
Thunder Rosa vs Jade Cargill
Christian vs Cole
Young Bucks vs Jurassic Express
Cody vs Malakai Black OR Andrade OR Miro
Couple notes... -Possible the Bryan vs Mox match is the finals of the Championship Eliminator Tournament. -no contender for Britt. Wonder if it has something to do with Rosa vs Cargill and the fact he wrote "SHORT" beside it. Maybe winner faces Britt same night? -Inner Circle vs ATT is happening this Saturday so unless it is a rubber match or special theme match I'm not sure it happens. -there's a distinct lack of title matches. Curious where the Lucha Bros fall in here. -Punk vs Wardlow is certainly a decision for Punk's first PPV match in 7 years...

Card subject to change brother. Well obviously but like, we know Omega/Page is main eventing the show and MJF/Allin is almost a sure thing...this card might not be far off save for a couple matches.

Yeah, likely an early card plan. Which should be VERY fucking concerning as it shows there are no plans for most of the fucking titles.

Won’t be ordering the PPV if that’s the card. Punk needs something at least semi-interesting. Instead of filler. Punk/Starks should have been the plan. I’ll just catch it online after the event and watch Punk’s match, Christian/Cole and hopefully Hangman win the belt.

Yeah this is not something I would put money on at all. I will watch on watch wrestling though for free though.
Still am in shock if this really is the plan that most belts will not be defended. That is booking 101, belts are defended at the big shows. Always. TV really is just to set up the PPV title defenses.

I just think it's cool a billionaire promotion owner is carrying around a journal with his scribbled booking ideas just like I did in high school.

Say if you're a huge Punk fan and the main draw is to watch the show - Punk vs. Wardlow is a big step down from Punk making his debut against arguably the best worker in the company in Darby Allin.

Personally Punk vs Wardlow interests me a lot. I think Wardlow is underrated: he's not been exposed much but when he has a match he's always delivered. Could also be a step towards Punk vs MJF which is a very interesting angle.
Who would you book Punk against?

The notebook pad is pretty cute that we can all relate to. Reminds you of those early WWF sessions at Vince's pool.

Pretty sure Wardlow has only lost once so far, and he hasn’t had a singles match in a while. Would be a pretty credible threat to hand Punk his first loss. I just hope it has more build than Punk walking out on Dynamite and doing his usual “who do I feel like fighting this week?”

I’d buy that show. It’s only £20 over here anyway and Omega/Hangman could be massive if they build it well over the next few weeks.
I like Wardlow and feel he’s under-utilised but don’t buy him as a threat to Punk at all because he never wrestles. Feels like a Dynamite match.

It’s a shame they made such a mess of Team Taz. They had something going there for a minute.
Starks was red hot when he won the FTW title and they cut Brian Cage loose. They should have kept the feud with CM Punk going and had him run through them all.
-Punk beats Hobbs. Don’t change that because it was a good match. -Team Taz jumps CM Punk and puts him through the announcer’s table. -Taz cuts a promo saying how hard HOOK has been training. Make it gritty and interesting, like this kid has been beating up thugs in the Red Hook district all his life or something. -CM Punk vs HOOK in HOOK’s first match. Punk wins but he carries the load and makes HOOK look good. He gives him a little rub at the end, an atta boy or something, but Taz steps in and tells Punk to back off his kid. -Starks and Hobbs attack and beat the shit out of Punk. Taz tells his son to get in there and he does as he’s told, knocking Punk out with the FTW title. -Meanwhile you still do Starks vs Cage to put that to bed and Punk vs Garcia. After Punk beats Garcia, Team Taz attacks again. 2.0 rescue their son but Taz tells them to hold up, says he wants Garcia to dump those bozos and join Team Taz. -Team Taz vs Garcia & 2.0. Tease a Garcia heel turn but he ultimately does not join. -Punk has one member left to face and he takes on Starks for the FTW title at Full Gear. You can either have Punk win and give the title more legitimacy, or have Team Taz shenanigans hand Punk his first loss.

WMS answered this: Starks. Me? Miro ... or QT. :suspic: Yeah, missed that, my bad WMS. Isn't Ricky Starks just a big a step down as Wardlow? I know Ricky Starks is a champion, but come on. But I suppose there is some meat behind it given Punk's start-stop history with Team Taz. Punk vs Miro would be great.

If Ricky Starks isn’t injured he’s one of the most oddly used guys on the roster. He should be on the same level as Sami and Darby but it hasn’t happened. It’s weird. I agree that right now he’s way below Punk and that match would have no jeopardy at all. If they build him up then a few months that match would be great.

Better yet: take my above fantasy booking and make the FTW title match at Full Gear a triple threat between Starks, Punk & Garcia.
You get two young up and comers in a high profile match with CM Punk, you have a few different ways of booking the match that don't involve CM Punk eating a pin, and no matter who wins they look like a star.
Look guys I really just want the FTW title to mean something, ok? It doesn't mean shit so long as it's just something that Team Taz plays hot potato with.

Punk vs Wardlow at least makes sense in that it can dovetail in with the Darby/MJF build.

Wardlow should go face and turn on MJF at this point to redeem himself IMO. Didn't we see Bryan vs Ambrose quite a bit? Boring one for me. I like Wardlow don't get me wrong but why not have MJF vs Punk right then and there? Wardlow vs Punk is a Dynamite main event, not something for Full Gear.

Did you watch the Wardlow vs Jericho match? Sure Wardlow took the L on paper, but come on.
Wardlow beat Hager in a pro-wrestling match a while back, a great result for him, then lost in that dumb MMA fight that Hager was obviously going to win.
I'd say Wardlow's been pretty well protected but they really need to start featuring the guy more.
Jon Moxley and Dean Ambrose are completely different wrestlers. Also Danielson and Moxley are super protected, would be interesting to see who goes over.

They're the same person and given it isn't a hardcore match, I don't see how much more different this will be. I thought this was the alternative to WWE? Cmon Tony, this ain't it.

They had one singles match in WWE and it was back in 2013, it's hardly been done to death.

Two matches alone in 2013 between the two, not even factoring in tag matches or multi men matches that featured the two. Team Hellno vs The Shield and I think when DB was with Wyatts he wrestled The Shield too.

I mean they probably had as many matches as Bryan and Omega and nobody was against that happening... Bryan and Omega fought once in DDT or ROH like a million years ago, I believe. They were still nobodies back then. Well, Omega was. Bryan was on his way. Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley have never fought. This is hardly Daniel Bryan vs. Dean Ambrose, and multi-man/tag matches don't count. If that is the finals of the Championship eliminator tournament then it's a good finals. Also we're assuming it's the eliminator finals and not just a marquee match. Maybe Punk vs Wardlow is the finals? Hmmm? Assuming Page goes over Omega, does he then drop the title to Danielson in his first defence? Could be interesting.........

2009 MOTY. I'm sure you've already seen pieces of it... arm wrestling, John Jacob segment. Everything pro wrestling needs to be. Coincidentally everything Corny hates.
Kenny of course was still in his goofy mode. Not that he's branched too far from it. Does seem like a lifetime ago. Even if barely a decade. Just seems like a silly thing to be against. Guys at this level are gonna have a match or two together and if AEW is gonna sign these guys they're gonna cross paths unless we're going back to just jobber matches. Which sadly people champion for.

What does Jon Moxley do different in a non hardcore match than Dean Ambrose. They look the same, they wrestle very much similar, Moxley is just allowed to curse and not read a script but that's his mic work.
I can't believe out of all of the matches Bryan could have, that's the one he chose for himself and that AEW chose for him.

Big star and one of the freshest matches you can have seems like a good enough reason. Maybe the build goes all the way to Total Divas.

Did Renee and Brie have some history over there  Bryan vs Ricky Starks would have been awesome here had Starks got a better push and used more. Or if they are making Lance Archer a heel, why not Archer vs Bryan.
