What does Jon Moxley do different in a non hardcore match than Dean Ambrose. They look the same, they wrestle very much similar, Moxley is just allowed to curse and not read a script but that's his mic work. Dean Ambrose for most of his run had longish hair and no beard. Jon Moxley has a crewcut and a substantial beard. Different attire. His wrestling style has changed a lot. The main reason I didn't like Dean Ambrose was because his offense sucked and he was pretty goofy. Jon Moxley is not goofy and he has really tightened up his offense, especially his striking. Also has a pretty different moveset. Dean Ambrose wasn't winning matches with Bulldog Chokes, Rear Naked Chokes and Paradigm Shifts.

Miro a good shout for Punk too. Think he made his main roster debut in the Rumble match that was Punkās last. Dream scenario would be if Jake Roberts was in good enough health to return to TV. Have Archer turn heel and beat down Punk. Reveal it was Robertsā master plan and we get a month of Roberts and Punk, two masters of the microphone, going at it with promos before a fun contest where Punk is against someone believable and creditable enough to make us all think he might be defeated.

And thank god he has mostly stopped that stupid bullshit āIām gonna fall out of the ring OH ACTUALLY JUST KIDDING LARIATā that happened every match and was dumb every time. I know that was a callback to his Jon Moxley days but it was stupid when he did it all the time, sometimes more than once a match. He brought back the One Hitter as a signature move and itās way better.

If anything AEW debuting Moxley had far more muscle, maybe it's the dad bod thing but he looks flabby now in comparison. Moxley is pretty goofy from his over the top mannerisms to the silly back spasm poses he constantly does to the 10 minute walk from the back entrance that he goes into the fans to play off his Shield days. Not a fan of him. Won't go as far as saying he's cosplay Stone Cold the way Cornette says he is but I do think his character is pretty cringe. He has some chokehold moves for resting nowadays due to his cardio, Ambrose had some sleeperholds in the shield days as well.

I just think it's cool a billionaire promotion owner is carrying around a journal with his scribbled booking ideas just like I did in high school. This. People keep trying to convince me that Tony's worth hating on but all I see is a bunch of shade from other marks directed at this money mark getting to live out our collective dream.

Card subject to change brother. Tony Khan pretty much said this today. He didn't flat out say it wasn't the card, and Omega/Page is definitely happening, but he made it sound like what he wrote down is no longer accurate.

Seems like that card is looking more and more accurate by the day.
Those matches are going to rule though.
