When Rampage is being beaten by NXT, I'm not sure how great a promoter he is.

Who would have thought? Wasn't NXT on SyFy this past Tuesday? That's terrible if it got beat by this week's NXT.

I'd say the big thing this week is that fans were curious to see not only who would be Isaiah Kassidy's opponent, but also who would partner CM Punk. AEW were able to retain their audience and get them to tune in much better before the show dropped off.

I forgot the greatest forbidden door match of all-time, Tiger Mask vs Dynamite Kid from Madison Square Garden with Vince McMhaon on commentary. Sorry Jay Wheel and Keith Len.

Dynamite beat the Winter Olympics, South Park, the NBA, and everything else on cable last night. Pack it up boys, wrestling’s dead.

Who would have thought, wrestling rates well among 18-49 year olds. Fucking genius observation. 2.4 million more people actually watched Tucker though.. but, who cares right? " Duhhh, the demo, the demo.. "

So didn't realise this but the Saudi ppv/ple has three women matches while AEW barely does two usually one preshow and one main card. Is Saudi treating women wrestling better then AEW?

Wednesday’s live AEW Dynamite episode drew 869,000 viewers on TBS, according to Nielsen via Showbuzz Daily.
This is down 23.02% from last week’s episode.
And 0.31 rating in the key 18-49 demographic.
WWE Raw this week nearly doubled it, with 1.602 million viewers on Syfy. Ok, it was only 45.7% more viewers. Raw also beat Dynamite in the key demographic with a 0.44.
So, not only did more people watch WWE, more young people watched WWE.
It's so big a joke now, Ric Flair has offered to make an appearance to lift the ratings for AEW.

Tuesday’s live Vengeance Day edition of WWE NXT 2.0 drew 525,000 viewers on Syfy, according to Nielsen via Showbuzz Daily.
This is up 31.25% from last week.
Friday’s taped AEW Rampage episode barely beat a developmental league drawing an average of 549,000 viewers on TNT, also, according to Nielsen via Showbuzz Daily.
So, collectively the last episode of Rampage and the last episode of Dynamite combined did 1.418 million viewers. Less than onr episode of Raw.
They even lost the handicap match. Maybe they need Cody back.

This pattern Dynamite has of losing 150k viewers from beginning to end every week is worrisome. No other wrestling show does anything like that.

This pattern Dynamite has of losing 150k viewers from beginning to end every week is worrisome. No other wrestling show does anything like that. For the record here's the latest RAW quarters.
It's interesting they don't get that huge lead-in, but their ratings typically grow through out the first hour before tapping out. It does seem like an industry wide trend that by the main event they lose a fair chunk of their audience. Third hour has always drawn consistently low but the Q8 rating is interesting, I wonder if fans had just seen enough of the gauntlet? Or if it's standard?

To be fair Raw is 3 hours and at 11pm there are just fewer people watching TV. But usually Raw’s audience holds until 10pm, and SmackDown does the same as far as I’m aware. Dynamite always did this as well, so maybe it’s all down to the lead-in.

Yeah I should have been clearer, I wasn't reading into the third hour either for the reasons you gave but the Q8 rating also had a big drop-off. I haven't seen other reports to know whether it's a once off but it could be a trend in Pro Wrestling for whatever reason.

The old PW was terrible for this opinion on celebs in the WWE and I'm sure there are a few that migrated.

Grown men were wetting themselves over people like Shaq wrestling, yet critical of WWE using celebrities in the same fashion.

Holy Moly.
Friday’s taped Slam Dunk edition of AEW Rampage drew an average of 471,000 viewers on TNT, according to Nielsen via Showbuzz Daily.
This is down 14.20% from the previous week’s taped episode, which drew 549,000 viewers.
As a reminder.....
Tuesday’s live Vengeance Day edition of WWE NXT 2.0 drew 525,000 viewers on Syfy, according to Nielsen via Showbuzz Daily.

Bolded and quoted for emphasis.
That caps off a disappointing week for AEW. I know you've brought up the point several times nath about their disappointing ratings, is there something you would do to fix it?
I think the issue with Rampage is that it isn't must watch. I think they need to book it where some really shocking developments happen on that show that gets people buzzing and gets you to tune into Dynamite. I also think they need to book some big matches far in advance - Page/Archer for instance would have been better off on Rampage than on Dynamite.
