His entire gimmick was, he was actually famous before signing with the WWE. 

Isn't competition what AEW wanted? They wanted to create a landscape where wrestlers got paid well and had options outside of WWE?

Now, they probably didn't consider talent may actually want to work for WWE, and use an offer from AEW or their body of work from AEW as a bargaining tool.

Tony knows this, but he also knows that people no longer see WWE contracts as two way contracts and knows in WWE people will lose creative control. Also guys are making more in AEW than they were in WWE, so not seeing where that big money comes in unless you are trying to imply that AEW has the next Lesnar or Cena.

No, established talent is making more money jumping from WWE to AEW. 

And again... this is because they have option to negotiate now. And on the flipside, AEW talent have the option to negotiate ( with both WWE & AEW ) and likely will drive a harder bargain or request a larger number from AEW if a ( thought to be ) serious offer from WWE is on the table. Especially the guys who came in at the lower end of the roster and became stars in AEW ( MJF, Baker, Allin, Sammy, Wardlow, etc )

If MJF isn't given an extension in the next 3 months then Tony Khan is a fucking idiot.

Obviously if MJF refuses to negotiate or sign one that's another story, but from all accounts there doesn't even seem to be an offer on the table and MJF deserves to be one of their highest paid stars.

EDIT: I want to add that I think all this talk of heat between MJF and Khan is bullshit. But if an extension doesn't come from this then what are we even doing here?

So, it's a pretty even playing field.

Dynamite is the lead show. We'd compare Dynamite to RAW if you'd like, but it would be heavily one sided.

I should be comparing Rampage to WWE's " B Show " Smackdown, but it’s not a fair fight either.

And, hilariously Rampage is being beaten by NXT 2.0.

So you compare a show in the friday night death slot to shows in other slots and pretend that it is fair comparison despite the fact we know across the board television consumption drops in the Friday night 8 to 11 spot and has for decades.

As a complete casual I figured it'd be closer to do Dynamite to NXT. Tues and Wed with similar shows seems more likely.

WCW Thunder first week of april in 2000 scored a 1.71. Which is 1,700,000 viewers. Clearly WCW Thunder was the far superior product compared to NXT. Checkmate bitches!!!

He was like this before he started AEW. Getting into arguments on Twitter with fans about his football team. He really has a terribly skin thin. Tough to be normal and the son of a billionaire I guess.
