People under 18 do not much income, and those over 50 are not really buying things marketed towards things for far younger people.

Booker T on Tony Khan talking about demos:
"I’m of the sentiment that Tony Khan is doing a lot of talking about nothing. Go out and produce a good show. At the end of the day, we’ll know who won if that’s what we’re looking for, if that’s your goal post, if that’s where you’re trying to score in. But all of this talk about what you’re doing, this and that, back and forth, I swear man, it sounds like a little school girl saying how pretty she is over the other girls on the schoolyard."

I'm not inside Tony's mind and he could just be a wanker, but whether inadvertent or otherwise, this is a great strategy.
Everytime someone in the WWE mentions AEW in any context it gives them legitimacy and raises their profile. All the people saying shut up and wrestle saw TNA do that for years and fail. Hell... Trump mean tweeted his way into the White house.

WWE not talking about other feds either. AEW is a threat to them. If it was not they would not bother addressing them at all.

WWE not talking about other feds either. AEW is a threat to them. If it was not they would not bother addressing them at all. TNA was never.. ever a threat to WWE and they never mentioned them. WWE is playing globally, AEW nationally. WWE is shown in 180 countries. 3 years ago, WWE put 70,000 in an arena in Australia. They could do it in the UK, they could probably fill an arena that size in most countries. They could fill the Tokyo Dome if they wanted to. AEW couldn't. So right now, losing 5 mins of a show to the 18-49 demographic to a show geared towards 18-49 year olds and not WWE's target audience of kids under 18... I doubt anyone is losing sleep at WWE HQ.

Yet AEW is mentioned during shareholder meetings. So clearly they are something worth discussing with the people who invest in WWE.

The wrestlers sure seem to talk about AEW a lot. Frequent mentions on social media. Seems quite likely there is a culture of talking about AEW in the WWE workplace, bosses likely talking too. Tony Khan has said in interviews that he's leaning into the idea of using this sort of war talk to cultivate a culture in his fanbase similar to ECW fans where people feel like they are involved in something they belong to. So he is embracing this to breed a sense of belonging of family in his fans.

Dynamite's going live from coast to coast (8et/5pt) starting this week. I wonder how much more of a dent it will put on the ratings?

It's being reported,
" AEW brought an episode of Dynamite on Saturday night last week, but WWE also aired a replay of SmackDown. That head-to-head battle was a close one, but there was a definite winner.
According to Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast, AEW Saturday Night Dynamite on October 23rd drew 515,000 fans. Meanwhile, Fox’s replay of Friday Night SmackDown received 578,000 viewers. It should be noted that both numbers will be higher once the final viewership stats come in. No rating was revealed at this time. "

To quote myself, Smackdown did 2.25 million, 0.58 rating in the 18 - 49 year old demographic and was up 11.5% from two weeks ago. AEW Rampage did 533,000. Falling in both viewership (almost 8%) and the demo to 0.22 from the week before. The October 16 episode of Dynamite did 727,000 as a reference, 0.28 in the demo. Pretty quiet TK, pretty quiet. Uncle Dave is literally melt(z)ing down on twitter too. I guess Roman Reigns is the real Demo-God. Acknowledge him you dweebs.

(Unless you have satellite TV like I do; I get the east coast feed of USA/TNT/TBS.)

Living on the West coast in canada we always got raw and now dynamite, live. So dynamite is 5 pm. I can't imagine watching it not live.
Back in the attitude era we watched Raw live, then because the the same channel aired nitro the next day we recorded it on the vcr while at school (or skipped afternoon class to watch nitro).

It was the same but flipped for me in the US, I had the east coast feed of TNT (for Nitro) from 5-8, then an hour off and Raw from 9-11. Didn't get much homework done on Mondays.

Cody Rhodes deleted his Twitter account at some point in the last 12 hours.
I repeat,
Cody Rhodes deleted his Twitter account at some point in the last 12 hours.
This follows Rhodes' promise to do so last week. Speaking on SiriusXM's Busted Open Radio, the former AEW TNT Champion had claimed he would be leaving Twitter due to "the amount of sniping and negativity on there," moving his entire social media presence over to his Instagram account, which remains active. - Whatculture
Good. He's awful.

Funny it is AEW bashing week after they delivered one of the best PPVs in years. A lot of people butthurt that AEW got praise for a good PPV again it seems.
Which is so damn weird, as most wrestling fans would ideally want both feds doing great so you simply get more good wrestling each month.
I get why people do not like WWE, creative there sucks, and we know they have the talent to dominant every other wrestling fed if they allowed their talent to do their thing, but AEW hate seems so weird. Like what, people are mad that a non-WWE fed can have fans and good matches?
The real war should be between AEW and TNA. And this becomes a boys vs girls thing, as TNA has one of the hottest women's division since SHIMMER. Which makes sense since there are a lot of SHIMMER girls there. TNA's men's division is lacking, but still far better than what AEW does with the women.

No. At this point it's really only Cody I dislike.
But it appears, everyone dislikes Cody.
Cody is the rich kid who got to hang out with the cool kids, because he was rich. Now the cool kids have richer mates, and he's left with that awful tattoo he got to impress the plants who sing Judas for Jericho and no friends.

What are fans 'bashing' AEW for? Social media is so vast it's really difficult to keep up with the inner cliques, I haven't and will never cover wrestling 'stans'. Otherwise you're one of the more critical posters I've seen on here c and you've (rightfully) knocked their creative. I have to give Full Gear sometime to breathe because right now the show just seems 'good' but the hype coming out of the show doesn't feel as big as All Out and that's after paying off a storyline they've been building since the very first match in the company.

Apart from the relentless mocking of Cody Rhodes for his pompous virtue signalling and dumbass tattoo and dumbass wife and stupid face... and rightfully so. AEW has been getting off quite lightly on the socials.
Yes, The Bucks are twats, and there's enough botchamania in the undercard to put together a weekly episode of near death experiences.. but I can live with that.
They've got some great main event talent in Punk, Danielson, Mox, Eddie, The Elite... they've righted the wrongs with Miro. Have a super cool mid card in Black, Almas, Pac, Cole, Darby, Sammy, Brit, etc emerging as well.
And TK seems to have got off the blow. So that's good, for him. I guess.

I don't frequent /SC too often but I was reading a thread about a deleted Twitter post from EyePatchWolf (Irish YouTuber who speaks in an unnecessary dramatic cadence) defending Cody. One of the replies was something to the effect of 'if it wasn't for Cody we wouldn't get Fuego on TV nor BTE references and I seriously didn't know if he was standing up for Cody or condemning him.
