I feel like Jokic being a trash defender is a terrible take. Some of his defensive stats are average, some are very good. Just because he doesn’t have the elite athleticism on defense like Giannis doesn’t make him a bad defender, he just doesn’t stand out as much on the court. I agree Giannis is better than Embiid, this year and in general. Please, Jokic is one of the worst rim protectors I've ever seen. That's a pretty big part of playing defense for a center. His position defense is nothing to write home about either. Have you watched basketball this season? Jokic is 100 defensive rebounds ahead of any other player. Second in defensive win shares behind Tatum. First in DPM. One of only 4 players with 90 steals and 50 blocks. I’m not saying he’s elite. He weirdly has average rim protection despite contesting the most shots in the league which is strange. He’s not really used like a traditional center defensively. But you can’t be leading the league or close to leading the league in all these metrics as a bad defender. You just can’t. Jokic is an above average defender, an offensive magician, and the MVP.

Jokic has zero hops. That's his problem.

All three are worthy MVPs. Really can't complain about any of them winning.

I don't like this narrative that some fans & media have run with. James Harden was brought to the Nets because Kyrie Irving can be flakey. So of course the guy is gonna want to leave. He was under the impression Irving was going to play alongside him.

Not really on the season topic, but I highly recommend Jackie McMullan’s Icons Club podcast. It’s on the Book of Basketball feed, I’ve enjoyed every episode, but the last two have been my favorites.

Lebron is a great player, a horrible GM. It's one thing to give a player input. But if you're giving your player the last say, you're not doing your job as a GM.

Obi Toppin going for 35 & now 42 points/10 rebs to end the year means Julius Randle can GET THE FUCK OFF THE KNICKS.

Wayne Ellington said he’s going to fight Facumondo next time he sees him too.
