The promo works if you know Kingston.  But yeah, real bad call on AEW's part to go with this.  Not many know Kingston's back story and how close he was to quitting wrestling entirely at several points in the past.

Serena vs Shida was awesome, they've got such great chemistry. So many flawless counters.

Deeb finally getting her chance to shine on a big stage 12 years after she first burst onto the scene is one of the best things in wrestling.

Fun fact: if you add together the match times of the first two matches in the TBS title tournament (Soho/Ford 8:30 and Deeb/Shida 10:57) you get 19:27.

The ENTIRE Queen's Crown tournamemt (every match time added together) you get 19:24.

The Shida/Deeb match was great. Feel's like Serena did enough damage after the match to make it an easy win for Nyla in the next round.

More good cowboy shit from Hangman leading to the Full Gear match, good fun that the commentators brought up the fact he has patched things up with Dark Order leading into that in case he needs back up to counter the elite.

The more Cody is on tv the more I dislike it. That promo felt way too meta. I really hope he is self aware enough to realise that everything about that promo is what makes people dislike him, it's just so extra. But it's not really making it a successful meta heal turn, just making him grow closer and closer to x pac heat for me.

So there’s one more Dynamite leading up to Full Gear and Punk has nothing booked? I really enjoy Khan’s promoting but some of his writing leaves a lot to be desired. Can’t help but feel a lot of AEW’s momentum is drifting. Hopefully Full Gear delivers like All Out did to get things going again.

The card is already pretty stacked so I could see a few things happening with Punk. Most likely he challenges someone on Rampage or Dynamite and they accept, or he issues an open challenge at the PPV itself and there's a surprise. Failing either of those, maybe he just does commentary for the night. Not the best option but the card is already pretty strong without him on it.

If the Rampage spoilers are anything to go off, it appears CM Punk will have a match at Full Gear.

Just seen the spoilers. That’s more fucking like it. Thank god they won’t be wasting him on commentary. This is something he can seriously get stuck into.

About the Rampage spoiler, that is exactly the match I was hoping for. Tony read my mind.

I’m terrible for it. And terrible at keeping surprises likewise!

Only seen part of the show, but Darby dressing as the Invisible Man was incredible.

Can’t take Dark Order seriously at all, goofs. Their main guy was made to look like a bitch by Moxley, then they go over Super Elite in the main albeit in a comedy match in costumes. I know it’s an eight-man tag match but Omega and Cole lose a little credibility for me by being on the losing end, regardless of the antics involved.

Obviously the redeeming part for me was the huge pop for the Hangman Page reveal (Deadeye is such an awesome move), but they could have done that post-match when Superkliq attempted a beat down and achieved a similar result with Page and Dark Order standing tall to end the show.



Probably sound like Cornette, but it pissed me off slightly as there was a lot of decent stuff on this show too.

-Cody’s promo was actually really good (even better if it sets up the meta turn), and I enjoyed PAC making the save. Lot of intensity.
-Danielson/Kingston’s hype for their match was simple but effective. That match is gonna be intense.
-Punk/Fish was decent enough, probably Punk’s weakest match since his return but his psychology and selling is again the best the roster has. I’m just excited for him to finally get something he can work with longer term.
-MJF’s promo and Darby’s surprise appearance was awesome. That might be the match I’m most hyped for at the moment.
-Sami looked an absolute stud in the ring. His in-ring work as a face is great, his character as a heel is better but when he works like that I don’t mind. That SSP to the outside was HOT!

This is the first time I have partly because I wanted to know who CM Punk is likely fighting next and partly because it’s Halloween weekend and I’m not sure if I’ll be watching it.

It came up on Observer radio right after they covered Dynamite.

Hangman fighting and raging as the Marshmallow Man was hilarious. Doesn't beat Darby Allin's costume, but a close second.
