Beautiful story. Eddie Kingston is the fucking man.

Shit like this is how I became a King of Diamonds fan ages ago. Back then he was not the best in the ring or the mic even at times, and sometimes looked like shit, but dude was so real you had to root for him. Dude was always all about others too. First Blackjack, then Sweeney, in an era when everyone was out for themselves.

This guy is Lesnar levels of authentic. Not in terms of being a killer, but you just buy every word he says and everything he does. It’s rare in wrestling these days. Full Gear is the biggest night of his career, well done to him and I hope he enjoys it.

Between this amazing, brutally honest read and the hype promo package they released today where Eddie calls himself Punk’s “karma”, they have to let Eddie go over on Saturday. Or a no contest if not.

And this is coming from one of Punk’s biggest fan boys.

This feud could, and should, set Eddie on the path to more greatness. Hope he gets a shot at holding the title in the next couple of years. Way down the line Eddie dethroning MJF would be money.

Eddie don't care if he wins or loses. All that matters to him is the respect in the back and that he gives it all he has in the ring. Reason he has really no ego is he does not really care about the fans in the way many do. He is a guy that just assumes most people do not like him. Dude came up blue collar in Yonkers and ran in NYC during the crack era. Was one of the darker periods of history for this area. Then he got into wrestling, but looks nothing like a wrestler. Everyone shit on him for ages fans, wrestlers, promoters, his fucking trainers, everyone. Dude for years just went out did his thing and kept his down. Eddie don't care about winning because for so long he was treated so badly he literally is not used to people liking him personally.

Pat on the back from Punk after the match will mean a lot more than winning. Title runs and Kingston do not go well either. He did not actually really like being Chikara champ as he did not think he deserved it and always talk down winning the title.

Mad king is just not wired like everyone else. Think he is starting to see how much people like him though finally as AEW swelled his fanbase and now dozens of people telling him he is awesome turned to hundreds.

Awesome read. I'm thankful to #NWAPowerrr for finally really first introducing me directly to Eddie. He's just been growing on me by leaps and bounds since then. He's like some hybrid of DDP and Rocky all rolled into one for my generation chasing pro wrestling dreams. Wishing and wanting but the best for him.

For Mad King fans, this is easily his best match. Quack vs Kingston to crown the first ever CHIKARA champ in a trainer vs student match. No Kingston match will have the emotion this match has.  Even have the before and after promos.  Sweeney died during the course of this tournament so it was dedicated to his honor.  One of my favorite matches period as it was so emotional.  Going into it, Eddie was the clear underdog as Quack was the company.

Another trainer vs student for people to check out from Eddie, this time again Hero, who Eddie legit hates for Hero pushing his tag partner out of the business by being such an asshole.  When these guy wrestle things get heated and have turned to shoots in the past.  It gets stiff because Eddie loved to hurt Hero.

Eddie Kingston is absolutely KING KID's pro wrestling spirit animal.

For people who missed the Rampage promo they added it to the youtube.  A lot of it is recycled from the classic Kingston BLKOUT promo from the CZW vs RoH feud.  I am guessing they failed to get the rights to that stuff to show it though where the RoH crew was trashing the CZW crew for being trash.

Absolutely incredible read, well worth taking the time out of your day to read it if you haven't yet already.

Great promo package heading into Full Gear as well. For a match that's being built on such short notice, it's got me hyped to see these two collide. Regardless of whoever is the winner, we as fans are winners for witnessing the match happen.

There's a saying. You may not believe pro wrestling is real but, I'll make you believe that I'm real. That's Eddie Kingston in a nutshell.

I see it more as it is not even about being real or not. Eddie when you give a chance will do whatever he is in his power to do to entertain the fans. Him selling the exploding ring shows that clearly.

What sold me on him entirely was him putting over Del Ray and letting her beat the living shit out of him to make her look the best she ever has.
