(Not sure if it's thread worthy for Black Friday) The Black Friday Haul thus far boys: LG C1 OLED 55 Inch TV $1500(With 5 year warranty) Guardians of the Galaxy PS5 $29.99 Paper Mario: The Origami King Switch $25.99 Persona 5 Royal( Big Pete , 2022 playthrough hype?) PS4 $25.99 Kirby Star Allies Switch $25.99 Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz PS5 $19.99 Judgment PS5 $19.99 I might bite on Tales of Arise if it comes back but I feel like I have so many JRPGs that by the time I actually get to play that game, it will be that amount if not less. The 55 inch TV was expensive but absolutely fucking worth it. What an upgrade, what a fucking move. Considered among the best gaming oriented TVs, I have yet to test it out with my PS5 but it can play over 60 FPS for the games that will test that(Horizon: Forbidden West plz). I have already seen the light of day with it for sports, particularly both NBA & NFL games. Beautiful. Thought I would share it since it's technology. TV is going to be good with me *knock on wood* for years to come. My present to myself. Anybody else get some great gets or will be shopping for something good this week?

That's a great haul, I've been looking at upgrading my television as well. I'm still playing off an off-brand television I received back in 2011. The only reason I haven't been urgent about it is because it has AV ports and it displays my EverDrive 64 games and I don't think newer televisions would be able to do so. Yeah that sounds like a good excuse to get back into Royal. I bought it on release back in 2020, had one session with it which turned out to 8 hours and proceeded to drop it. I valued my sleep too much, but for you Blindy, I guess I'll go without.
There's not a ton of sales going at the moment, as far as I know Amazon, JB and Big W are only offering $5-10 off a bunch of Switch games. I'm sure there will be some flash sales but really the big ticket item is a PS5 which we should be getting more stock of around Black Friday. I don't think I'll be able to pick one up, but we'll see what's out there.
At the moment, I'm probably just going to take advantage of the 10% off eShop tickets just to make Monster Rancher DX 1&2 slightly more affordable. I'm considering picking up Nier Replicant ($45 AUD) but nothing is really jumping out at me video game wise.

Yeah I was playing on a 34(I think?) inch TV that I inherited years ago, we had a big TV upstairs but given my baby 24 inch TV broke(My first TV I bought on a budget when I first started working when I needed to play Bloodborne upon PS4 purchase back in 2015). I have the 34 inch on the otherside of the room, it's hooked up with the PS3 and XB1 so it will serve use. I have the Switch(Which will never take full power of this new TV) and PS5 which will hooked up. It's expensive but I am really pleased with the picture quality, need to tinker with it a bit more. The short work week will be the cure to that.
Yeah with Shin Megami Tensei V taking some of my time up, Persona 5 Royal is a 2022 playthrough for sure. I have GTA Trilogy and SMT V as my two main playthroughs at the moment, I completely forgot about Monster Rancher 1&2 next month.
February 2022 is going to the big boy month. Elden Ring 100% day 1 and Horizon: Forbidden West 100% day 1. One week difference between the two games, just means slow month December & January will be where some of the Black Friday purchases get played.

Cancelled Judgment and ended up biting on Tales of Arise for $29.99. In addition, jumped on a potential price error for The World Ends With You:Neo which came out this year which came via Walmart at $14.99 which is a must have given it's selling for $40(Or $30) elsewhere. Feel pretty good altogether, unless there are massive price errors, I think that's it. Don't want too crazy of a backlog.

I'd say the 'best deals' so far are...
Nier Replicant - $39 AUD Scarlet Nexus - $28 AUD Ghosts of Tsushima - $34 AUD
With Ghosts of Tsushima, I'm going to hold off since the PS5 version sounds like the definitive edition with DLC and QOL improvements. Replicant is the only game there that I feel is a genuine bargain since I doubt it will receive another print and I can't see it's value dipping much lower here. I've held off buying it so I'll take advantage.
On Steam, I added $5 to my wallet to pick up...
Polybius - For my 2017 GOTY project. For $2.90, it's a bargain especially compared to the PS4 version which is around $25 on their store. I've been after it for ages so I'm stoked.
Left For Dead - I got the sequel when they offered it for free and since I'm working on a 2008 project, for $2.20 I'll take it even though it chewed into my TF2 money.
I'm still considering dipping in for Braid and Audiosurf but I want to do a deeper dive. In terms of 'stockings' type purchases, I'm pretty satisfied with both.
So currently it's looking like Nier Replicant and a 10% Nintendo eShop card so I can pick up Monster Rancher.
It's not a Black Friday deal, but since I've been holding off I'll treat myself to Pokemon Ultra Moon at CEX. It's becoming rare so before the price goes nuts like Pokemon Platinum I'll pick it up, which leaves only Ultra Sun as the only mainline 3DS Pokemon game I don't own.

Probably past black Friday but in addition to the above, I ended up getting Judgment(PS5) for $20, Kaze and the Wild Masks(XB1) for $14(Beaten the game and enjoyed it), and am finally going to get the XBOX Series X which has been a pretty rough find altogether as of late. I had gotten through to buy it 2x but due to a little budget issues at the time, had to cancel each. Getting this now, especially with the new tv so I am set for years.
With the OG Switch, PS5 Disc and XBOX Series X, that does it for systems for years to come unless Nintendo just makes some god given Switch model pro edition. Even then, I have rode with the OG XBOX ONE and PS4 so I think that will do it for me.

Bumping this up but I got so far:
The Quarry(Xbox Series X) for $ 20(Had to pay for shipping so under $30) Final Fantasy: Stranger of Paradise(XBOX Series X) for $10(Gamestop had a glitch so about $15 dollars after shipping)
I don't think I go crazy this year with Black Friday deals to be honest. Last year was crazy spending with the new TV and the XBOX Series X and the games. Unless deals are just crazy good, I am laying off.

Nothing yet, but plan to snag a 30x series graphics card to complete the PC I been causally building. Also will snag a Steamdeck at some point during the holiday season since everyone says they are beasts when it comes to emulation. Also having a few hundred steam games makes it a no brainer for a portable system.
///
Oh saw a 3050 on sale for 300 so snagged that. Serious upgrade from the card I have now. So now Steamdeck is all I really care to get.

Got Sonic Frontiers for $30 for XBOX Series, XBOX has been dominating the sales for these 3rd party games for sure. Think it's due to overordering on these retailers end+less demand from customers vs PS5, but I will take advantage of this all day. Also forgot to mention I got an XBOX Series 2nd controller for $35 so I THINK I am done barring any glitches. (Also treated myself to some $30 Jeans but that's not V&G related).

Got a portable hard drive for sandylea (Because I got her CoD so that’s most of your console space gone ) and myself a wireless controller for the Switch as I much prefer the Xbox/PlayStation style of controller rather than the joycons.

It's well worth getting a regular controller for the Switch, not only because the joy-cons are uncomfortable to play with but because of drift. Buying a Pro Controller was one of the better investments I've made.

So far I’ve just bought multiple games on the PlayStation store with their Black Friday sale. Hoping to get a new pair of runners as well, but spent a lot of money on my car too so we shall see.

To end the year I got Grand Theft Auto V(PS5) for $10 (I am one of like 10 people on earth who has yet to play this game so I thought it is good to get this game while it was a heavy discount, this was just released onto the current Gen consoles like FEB/MAR so this is a good get) Digimon Survive(XB1/XSX) for $17 (This was a reoccuring sale that Gamestop first mentioned, this game came out in July to pretty rave reviews. Could not pass this up. As a old Digimon fan and a visual novel fan, be on the lookout in 2023 for this one to be mentioned in the visual novel thread. Have heard this is pretty much 3/4 visual novel and 1/4 RPG which is perfect, reminds me quite a bit of 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim which I played last year)
