You didn't pick up on the awkward silences and wishy washy delivery? The guy needs to stay away from the booth, in fact this is the first time where I actually missed JR's disappointed but understanding uncle routine.

Sure I noticed, but calling that "burying yourself" is a comical exaggeration. He can't ad lib well, fine, doesn't really take much away from him as a professional wrestler.

I take it you don't listen to that many podcasts and how liberally they use the term self-burial? Still professional wrestler ultimately is just a fancy way of saying entertainer. When you give somebody an opportunity to be entertaining they have to knock it out of the park and when they expose themselves as a milquetoast mumbler incapable of carrying a conversation it just hurts them.
Accentuate the positives and eliminate the negative.

I wonder if Page could have benefitted from a traditional old school build up. It was a fun storyline the way it played out but he was basically booked as a loser for months and then won a ladder match because he was the freshest participant to get his shot. Did they really build him up effectively? It’s very early so let’s reserve judgement but I will say at the moment he sort of feels like one of the MitB champions in that even though he has the belt, he isn’t one of the stars of the show.
