This idea crossed my mind a few months ago and once I saw Strobe bring it up recently it kind of got me out of my wrestling funk. Bret HartMy top three would probably be the Summerslam '94 gear, the pink flames look he sported in 1997 (?) and the all pink gear. I also favored the black jacket with the shoulder pads over the pink vinyl jacket he wore earlier in his singles run. I also was not a fan of the one-off singlet he wore at Survivor Series '93 (?): Ric FlairI always though his sharpest look was in simple white from Starrcade 1987/ Clash I: [img src=" " alt=" "] purple with the purple boots from the Starrcade '93 era was also great: Hulk HoganI actually liked when he wore the red shirt from the classic era. Plus those red and yellow airbrushed tights from later in his career were a smart upgrade. Also the Python Power bandana was his best head gear. and a special shout to this attire from 1986: The Road WarriorsIt really boils down to these two looks. I liked Hawk with the full face paint that Warrior and Sting ripped off best. Animal with the full on spider web look was also bad ass. On the very rare occasion during the spiked vest era Animal also had a long cape with mini spiked shoulder pads and Hawk came out with a mace. StingYeah the Bash '90 look was awesome but it was mostly a one-off. For his more common attire any combination of blue and yellow looked best. For other one-offs to consider his early interactions with Hogan supplied some sharp duds. SabuCan't go wrong with the blue and white: Rick RudeReally tough but either the Cheryl Roberts tights or his Summerslam 1990 tights: Ultimate WarriorHe peaked in early 1991 with the fully fleshed out ring gear that was airbrushed along with more detail in the face paint. Ricky SteamboatEither the all black from 1985 like his LJN or these colorful ones from 1994: Plus I was a closet fan of the dragon wings and fire breathing. RVDReally tough since he changed singlets daily but the dragon and yin/yang themes were his classic go to's: Randy SavageI preferred the short tights of the 80's over the real gaudy stuff from the 90's. Either his LJN like look or his Wrestlemania 5 attire: VaderAgain I have two that are pretty much tied. Either the full on on helmet/lucha mask look from New Japan or the near all black he wore in 1993/94 WCW. What are some of yours?

Just popping in to put over this thread and Sting's look in particular. Always thought he was one of the sharpest looking wrestlers of his era. So much color!
I'm pretty terrible at remembering specific attires but I'll think about it and see what I can come up with next time I'm here.

Nice one Shootist . My favourite Bret is Mania IX. Something about the white outline on the vest part of the singlet and the black outline around white hearts on the all pink just looks sublime to me. Also, the four hearts in a line rather than 2 and 2. And describing that makes me pretty sure someone (perhaps me) created this thread on the old PW as I definitely remember talking about this attire. {Spoiler} Just as a comparison, the Mania VIII all pink with black outline on the vest, inverted hearts (white outline, black inside) and 2 and 2 arrangement is nice but not even close for me. {Spoiler} Favourite Yokozuna was always his debut attire, white mawashi with red tights. Always prefer variety as well, so I didn't like Yoko going to black mawashi with red tights pretty much exclusively after only a few months. {Spoiler} While I love Mania XII and XIV, favourite HBK is DX IYH. {Spoiler} No doubt will be back with more later.

Always preferred Shawn's darker gear (don't even start with that EC look though... both puke brown AND shitty bob double whammy) to his reds. I really hated when his second run the chaps were built into the tights. Looked so weird.
Kurt's gear from No Mercy is a keeper. I think his look gets overlooked like RVD. You don't pay much attention after a while.

Favorite Hogan look is at the beginning of Hulkamania Blue/White. Seems insane to say Yellow/Red was a mistake, as it obviously worked, but come on, Blue/White looked so much better. {Spoiler} Can't find a high res pic, so this action figure will have to do.

Favorite Shawn look was the early singles run like Royal Rumble 1992-early 1994 era: What does Kilgore think of the red and blue brother? Mr. Perfect, I agree with whoever mentioned the blue and yellow: Jushin Liger, either black or blue and white: Rey Mysterio looked best when he still had the eye coverings on his mask, or when he had the Spider-Man look from Hog Wild 1996:

Agree with you guys on those rarely seen Hogan & Yoko looks being their best, though my favorite Liger look is his traditional red & white.
Also agree with you on RVD & Angle having so much stylish attire that they all just kind of blend together.

What does Kilgore think of the red and blue brother? It's very solid. Something about any blue trunk combo, he looks like a fucking god. Should have never ditched the powdered blue, brother.

While I totally understand going with one colour scheme from a branding perspective (it was absolutely the correct call), I did like when Hogan would change up the colours in those early Hulkamania days. He looks phenomenal in all white to me. {Spoiler} As much as I love red trunks, crazy hair face Andre, the heel one-shouldered black singlet is iconic. Imagine if Hogan had been in his all white at Mania III for the ultimate face in white vs. heel in black visual. {Spoiler} Always been a big fan of DiBiase's white and gold look (both suit and ring gear) in 1992. In my rebooked universe with DiBiase/Matador at Mania VIII, that's when he'd be wearing it for the first time. And if you don't think that would make Mania better, then you are wrong. {Spoiler} Mania III is the clear Savage winner for me. His classic trunks in pink work so well with the yellow knee pads and boots with the white features tying it together. {Spoiler} For Quake, the pre-Disasters 1991 is his best singlet. {Spoiler} Warlord's best look is clearly the silver Phantom mask and with the W staff. It needs that contrast with the mask, belt, chains and W being silver to the remaining black. For comparison, I've also included the much inferior version with the mask and W in black. {Spoiler} Is any madman going to argue against Kane's original outfit being his best? I could maybe entertain the idea of the double-armed outfit from around KOTR 1998 but the one sleeve gave the outfit a certain visual quality and put in your head the idea that the rest of his body must be burned and that is the one section that was left unscathed. {Spoiler} Even though I know high quality images of these attires will exist, it isn't easy to find them with a simple Google search and I can't be arsed doing some deep searching. Someone needs to create an attire database or something.

Razor RamonI was just going to go with either his classic purple or yellow looks then found this oddity. Don't remember this at all: {Spoiler} Jake The SnakeI always like the flashiness of these ones from when he cracked Steamboat's skull on the floor on SNME: Kenta KobashiThe change to black and purple with robe when he came to NOAH was a huge improvement: Chris BenoitThe Wild Pegasus tights from the J-Cup final or his blue and red wolverine scratch tights from late in his WCW run:

Strobe nailed my favorite face Hulk Hogan look in the all white. The light blue trunks with white accessories is second. Totally get the red and yellow branding play, but goddamn nothing is as slick as the white and/or the blue. I'm also with Strobe on DiBiase's all white look being the Million Dollar Man's best. Strobe has me again with Quake's featured gear. The red, white, black colors for his Natural Disasters gear just didn't pop as well. I'll have to diverge from Strobe on Kane though. Kane's 2001 gear was probably my favorite, capped off by his rare inverted color scheme at Survivor Series 2001. Gonna pull a Kilgore and post a pic of an action figure: Yinz are tripping if you prefer Savage in simple trunks over his Macho King and beyond duds. His indigo and white from WrestleMania VII would've been unbeatable to me had it not been for this patriotic getup which has me thinking Macho America should've totally been a thing instead of the Lex Express: Then, shame on all of you for none of you mentioning the Ultimate Warrior's greatest attire (from SummerSlam 1992) which would go on to inspire Giant Gonzalez's all-time great gear: From the era of WWF that I've been working through via Superstars, I can't help but think that Repo Man's original but quickly abandoned look was undisputedly his best look:

Razor RamonI was just going to go with either his classic purple or yellow looks then found this oddity. Don't remember this at all: {Spoiler} I only know of him wearing these trunks one time in a match against Tito Santana very early in his WWF career. Always thought Razor was one of the sharpest attired wrestlers of the New Generation even if it did take me years to realize those were razors on his trunks rather than dollar bills Strong disagree. Savage looked best in trunks with his LJN look being my personal favorite. He went from stylish to garish when he transitioned to tights. Bruce Prichard agrees. From the era of WWF that I've been working through via Superstars, I can't help but think that Repo Man's original but quickly abandoned look was undisputedly his best look: Yep. Definitely the best Repo Man look. Sadly don't remember this at all. Benoit really did have another person's arms attached lmao. A friend of mine once said "Benoit has T-Rex arms" and I could never unsee it.
