Those face graphics are hideous  I wouldn't recognise the wrestlers if not for the attire.
Fun video, thanks for sharing!

Does make me wonder if they have vidya sections in wrestling contracts. The Twitch Clause. Wrestling is being worked. They're using wrestling as a loss leader to get you to come to twitch. Real money is in being a content creator because bumps hurt lol.

The full hour long version is on the twitch. Has the Kingston trashing Jericho for like 20 minutes on it and talking about how he had to stop using his favorite moves to try to lead by example and get the kids to stop overusing the risky headdrops that destroy necks.
Fans trying to get Uno to get Kingston on to play the game on a regular basis.

I think for a lot of people, their long term plan is to use Twitch now to continue to be able to make cash if they get a career ending injury like Paige.
Others like House Hardy just actually like to connect with their fans. Reby I think started the twitch stuff mainly because she is bored at night with Matt working AEW and generally booking indy stuff on the weekend. I think the original plan was to be a Matt focused stream, but more and more it is Reby and the kids as Matt is only home one or two days a week.
Believe the same is true of Cole. He streams all the time. I think he just likes having the people to bullshit with while he plays video games. WWE showed it was not a cash issue, he basically was willing to take fines or give up the twitch cash to keep streaming.

Those face graphics are hideous I wouldn't recognise the wrestlers if not for the attire. Fun video, thanks for sharing! Even for their time, the AKI games weren't known for having the best models. WWF Attitude, WCW Mayhem and eventually WWF SmackDown had better looking models but in the case of the former two had really odd idle animations. WCW Mayhem in particular has their wrestlers assume a limp-wristed T-Rex pose that looks goofy.
Personally I've always enjoyed the AKI aesthetic. They weren't as articulate as others but I liked the action-figure style they had going.
Also worth noting that in VPW2, a lot of the wrestlers were obscured to avoid licensing issues. Asmic Ace only secured the rights to AJPW, so the wrestlers from NJPW, FMW, Michinoku Pro, Toryumon, RINGS, Pancrase etc. all had their faces and physical features changed with those parts being released in CAW mode - meaning that players had to manually make them themselves.
They're well worth checking out and gameplay wise still hold up well to this day. I'd also recommend the King of Colosseum series on the PS2 with the II entry being the best.
